The song was written by Larry Vincent in 1936. French lyric was penned in 1945 by Edmond Moreau.

The song finally became a hit in 1964. Young singer Lucille Starr from Manitoba with her hit was a chart topper for weeks in Canada and also in Europe.

Then I was a boy fourteen but I remember well the hit. It's a very nice song!
