bah. 3 and a half metre squid. parts of giant squid have been found in sperm whales stomachs that mesure for the whole squid to be up to 100 ft. long. And why would they kill such a rare and beautiful animal anyway?
First to capture it on film! Oh yeah, and they killed it and pulled it out of the ocean (it was a 'baby' squid too, btw) and killed it. Typical Japanese effort. Convervation's priority number one when they're in the ocean... hah...
It would be nice if they could take the squid out of the water without killing it...if they even intended to catch it in the first place...A healthy living specimen would be very valuable to science.
