If you call him "great",than how come you don't see a simple mistake ,that his student does"who is been practicing for 6 years",that places his feet are too wide from each other?,You simply would not be able to move around the ring like that.
It's a pity that Russ and David split up, they were a great team. Best of luck to David though, he's got power, now he just has to learn control and pacing.
its great, i learnt everything from his dvds.... only thing is that he say that Davids muscles memorized the movements... WHAT MUSCLES?? my hand is bigger than his legs! hahahah
@srafic A boxer's muscles are not meant to be big because they don't lift heavy weights. They're meant to be capable of contracting explosively in order for fighter to be able to knock people out. David Lemieux featuring in this vid who fights at middleweight (70kg) would probably be able to take most 100kg+ bodybuilders out within 1 round.
This guy know really knows how break it down. He is a superb teacher/coach. I teach Thai Boxing and I hope one day to be as good a coach as this guy. Thanks for the vids, they are instructional not only for the techniques but how to coach also.
For you people that are saying that you want to fight this guy because he sucks or for some other reason just cool it.. This video is to show you how to do the move not to show that he is the shit.
Search for David Lemieux on Youtube. It's the same David that you see in this video. You don't wanna fight this guy... unless you are looking to get victimized.
I am not saying I would kick your ass...I am saying David Lemieux would kick your ass. You said you wanted to fight him...and from what I have seen from him, you would probably get your ass kicked. I don't have to know you to believe you would get your ass kicked. So stop talking crap.
The video is really thorough and can't wait to try the technique. Although I have difficulty applying such techniques without a target can you apply this technique to a heavy bag?
those who post negative comments are just bunch of idiots who dont know shit about boxing. please dont post those type of comments if you dont know what you are talking about. Video is great,
@gskowal Well i know what hes talking about and some of wht this guy telling you is true but some of
its like he got the infomation from hes ass and not from a tex book im not hating but someone like a fighter
like me self know the in and out in boxing!!! lol But I Will tell you one thing knot alot of boxing trainer know how to throw the upper cut right and he got that down pack!!! Its just hes messing some componets dont get me wrong hes good but hes not best.lol
sorry but that kid needs to do more with his guard.. ive always known to keep my guard on not only my head but more body too. the straight right vid he is so open for a body shot its untrue. only takes a quick and witty boxer to *dodge the first of 2 punches then go in for the kill.
he does look off balanced too i must admitt but your teachin of the uppercut is great otherwise

Russ is a very well respected boxing personality and knows what he is doing. Stance is a matter of opinion. He prefers a wider stance with with his pupils. The only problem I see here is that the width of David's stance should be further apart. It looks as if he could fall off balance quite easy.
Good explanation of the rear uppercut. His stance is fine. He needs to get his legs underneath him so he has leverage and balabce for his punches. It also helps defensively, so he can move.
Sometimes in boxing, it's helpful to have a wider stance. I do kickboxing and I have more of a squared stance. I think boxers can get away with having a side stance such as this one since they don't worry about kicks.
I would agree. However, I don't think it's impossible to get away with a stance like this. Yes, maybe if you were trained shin style kicks. But, if you have some Tae Kwon Do style kicks, you might be able to pull it off. Long story short, TKD kicks don't need much hip... so you are ready to just fire them off from that stance. But, defense wise you wouldn't be able to lift your knee to defend against leg kicks. You would have to step back. Depends how you're trained defensively I guess.
Lol uppercuts are the best moves in fighting its an instant knockout if you know how to use it right.

I am being taught like that too, to protect the body by tucking your elbows in, but there are different styles of boxing.
And i supose it might trick people into trying to come for the body shots and he could just put them down with a left hook or an uppercut.
His guard his kinda high like thai boxing too lol.
But i get what your saying, but watch his fights, it seems to work ok for him lol.
