Smoke in assault is VERY useful when it comes to rush. You can cover your teammates easily if you are crossing a road or a small open area. Also, speed is key in rush, you do not want to wait a while to arm the targets. You and your teammates want to rush immediately. also, you should support your team while they are arming the m-com.
the team dead match its a very good oportunity to test the characteristics of the guns you unlock or the atachments you unlock, its a good chance to feel witch weapons has more recoil than others, withc ones deals more damage, with ones are better for sertain situations and witch ones for anothers, and to test all attachment comvinations you whant, in that whay you can create your personal convinations for every situation you migth confront.
pay attention to the type of map you will play in, not just for the strategy you will use to get to the objetive, but also for the weapons and attachments, theres no need to use a surpresor or silencer for a long range weapon in a long or open area in the map your in, (the silencer decreases the damage depending of the range) or to use a semi auto sniper with a x12 scope in a map that has many close areas, or a bolt action sniper with holografic in a long quarter figth
if your in rush and your an attaker, for the love of god dont do sniper camping, its fucking retarded when you camp in the damn spawn area of your base wasting time just to get a single nearly imposible one shot one kill from a huge add distance, you dont help your team at all, you waste your time just to get a couple of kills, and your not eaven usefull as a respawn point or eaven to spot properly the enemy.

I have a big tip for people who play conquest a lot, use your HUD. It shows what flags are being captured before you can see them on screen. The little diamonds on the minimap box show what flags are owned by your or the enemy team and when they start flashing it means you should head to that objective and kill whoever wants to capture your flag.
for any cod player trying to get better at bf3, DON'T GIVE UP! believe me it can be frustrating in the beginning i know but its only because of that COD mentality ingrained in your brain. just stick through and follow this vid. sooner or later you'll be just as good as you were in cod. all the best!

Here's something I think is good. When engaging enemy's at longer ranges and you have an assault rifle , carbine (engineere smg), or pdw, switch to single fire or three round burst by pressing down on console, and v on pc (not sure about pc)
well heres a tip if your from cod DONT USE THE SNIPER RECON ON THE ATTACKER SIDE YOU WILL DIE CONSTANTLY AND ARE USELESS TO YOUR TEAM!!!!!!!!!! oh and play PTFO and dont go too far from the objective this isnt a KILL WHORE GAME. if sniping on defender side always stay back and spot enemy where a killshot is not possible. here are some useful tips
TIP: Controlled burst, careful footing (watching ur 360 radius), play as a team GOING SOLO DOESN'T WORK!, camping does work sometimes especially with snipers, aircraft=Fail, use classes related to what situation is in front of you for example if u notice a tank pwning bitches pull out ur engineer class and shove a rocket up its ass u can also use support for that just a bit harder, and last but not least TAKE EVERY TEABAG CHANCE U GET (pisses people off they won't do as well) XD

Magazines/Clips for weapons have set amount of bullets, 30,20,10,5 etc. However there is still a place for a bullet in the chamber of the weapon, so if you have a 30 bullet magazine + 1 bullet in the chamber of the weapon you get 31 bullets.
Use different firing modes. There are 3 different modes of shooting, depending on which gun you choose: Full burst, short burst, and single shot. If you're engaging a target that's far from you, use the single shot. For close engagements, use full or short bursts. I see people all the time use only the full burst mode, and they miss most of their shots, yet I can put 3-4 bullets on someone and kill them because I use the single shot mode It also reduces recoil and gives control.

@Sweltner Rush is a good first game mode. Conquest is a little more advanced. Assault is a good class to start with. If you find that you like being stealthy, or picking off enemies from a distance, be a sniper. If you want to take out vehicles, be an engineer. (You can use support though, it's just a little harder). If you like mowing down enemies, be support.
@MrBtingle Close enough - there isn't a sniper class in BF3. Recon is most likely the class you're looking for and they don't have to be far away - They can be helpful to, equipping a PDW and provide TUGS etc.

@MrMerlyn13 the fact that you have a gun, a sidearm, and some perks or specialisations. Thats the only similarties between to two, your gunna have a large learning curve in front of you. Its gunna be hard lot of experienced players out there and your gunna die a lot the first few days because of that, just keep at it and you'll learnt the maps

Awesome video! I just picked this game up. I was a hardcore CoD fan, but I'm tired of the same game. I was very con fussed playing battlefield the last two days. @sk8likeaboss97 it is impressive athough 20 sec is kind of a long time lol but that was just luck... i did a similar thing only it was a rush match about 5 or 6 players just got out of the corner and i started shooting non stop and killed all of them at the end of it i was like "what the fuck... did i just do??!!?" but keep playing and you WILL reach a point where you will kill alot more in just one life in the game :)
ok i am a bf3 nerd i have some tips first dont try to act all cool with a class that is not effective aginst something else like if u were a sniper dont start trowing grandes at the tank. use your class for what there ment to be used for dont be and enginer and run around with a smg cause it is a good wepon use the rpg to take out tanks and enemys also and final tip DONT BE A PUSSY AND CAMP PLAY WITH YOUR TEAM MATES
i use the the classes as they should be used, give ammo and support or health and revive. recon i give markers (actually do that all the time because if theres tanks jets or choppers its good to mark them for your jets etc.) and GOOD spawn points! as for rushing in sometimes its beneficial as they arent prepared and you can either hold them off or set the charge and hold it till ppl spawn on you, it can even act as a diversion for someone to set the other charge as it distracts the other team

@Diver661 Be realistic. Nobody plays as a team unless you know everybody on the team, and your all talking to each other. People in games like Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3 are selfish and only go for kills and things that get them the most points.
Stay near the objective. Dont go somewhere far away at the edge of the map. Your squad mates will only be able to spawn on you if you are somewhere near the objective, not at the edge of a map. Then they don't have to run all the way to arm the M-Com's if there isn't a Tank or Jet nearby. It will also be better for you because you get 20 points for a Squad Spawn. And if your squad mates always spawn on you because ur in all the action, then you'll get a Squad Spawn Ribbon
always mark THE FUCKING OBJECTIVES. it pisses everyone else off when the squad leader is a moron that doesnt know how to put the crosshairs over a or b and press the back button. there are tons of people that dont even know how to do this. it gives you 20 points for every kill your squad gets plus 20 points for them too. its pointless not to do it
why camp when u kill some one they see where u go for like 5 seconds so if ya campp and kill some one dont be suprized if ya get knifed an t-baged from behind
heres a tip i like to use if your sprinting in an enemy's base just dont crouch an go slow most of them run past u thinkin that your on there team it works realy good for rush
@NOnkii To play smart? Just switch around with the classes, don't just camp(because the enemy team will fuck u UP if u do) and be a team player. BF is about team, now lone wolfing it. So grab you're rifle, and kick some ass!

personal tip for those who cant drive the heli and the jets for shit (console vertion):
step 1: use the cooperative mission that uses the helicopter and try several control conbinations and use the one that you think it suits you
step 2: try over and over till you pass the mission with out crashing
step 3; now try it with the multiplayer experience
step 3; once you get used to those controls use the same convination for the jets

@Sweltner Rush is a good first game mode. Conquest is a little more advanced. Assault is a good class to start with. If you find that you like being stealthy, or picking off enemies from a distance, be a sniper. If you want to take out vehicles, be an engineer. (You can use support though, it's just a little harder). If you like mowing down enemies, be support.

@MrBtingle Close enough - there isn't a sniper class in BF3. Recon is most likely the class you're looking for and they don't have to be far away - They can be helpful to, equipping a PDW and provide TUGS etc.

i mostly play call of duty black ops... what are the similarities and differences between black ops and bf3? @MrMerlyn13 the fact that you have a gun, a sidearm, and some perks or specialisations. Thats the only similarties between to two, your gunna have a large learning curve in front of you. Its gunna be hard lot of experienced players out there and your gunna die a lot the first few days because of that, just keep at it and you'll learnt the maps

Awesome video! I just picked this game up. I was a hardcore CoD fan, but I'm tired of the same game. I was very con fussed playing battlefield the last two days. @sk8likeaboss97 it is impressive athough 20 sec is kind of a long time lol but that was just luck... i did a similar thing only it was a rush match about 5 or 6 players just got out of the corner and i started shooting non stop and killed all of them at the end of it i was like "what the fuck... did i just do??!!?" but keep playing and you WILL reach a point where you will kill alot more in just one life in the game :)

ok i am a bf3 nerd i have some tips first dont try to act all cool with a class that is not effective aginst something else like if u were a sniper dont start trowing grandes at the tank. use your class for what there ment to be used for dont be and enginer and run around with a smg cause it is a good wepon use the rpg to take out tanks and enemys also and final tip DONT BE A PUSSY AND CAMP PLAY WITH YOUR TEAM MATES

i use the the classes as they should be used, give ammo and support or health and revive. recon i give markers (actually do that all the time because if theres tanks jets or choppers its good to mark them for your jets etc.) and GOOD spawn points! as for rushing in sometimes its beneficial as they arent prepared and you can either hold them off or set the charge and hold it till ppl spawn on you, it can even act as a diversion for someone to set the other charge as it distracts the other team

Tip If ur playing Rush:
Stay near the objective. Dont go somewhere far away at the edge of the map. Your squad mates will only be able to spawn on you if you are somewhere near the objective, not at the edge of a map. Then they don't have to run all the way to arm the M-Com's if there isn't a Tank or Jet nearby. It will also be better for you because you get 20 points for a Squad Spawn. And if your squad mates always spawn on you because ur in all the action, then you'll get a Squad Spawn Ribbon

always mark THE FUCKING OBJECTIVES. it pisses everyone else off when the squad leader is a moron that doesnt know how to put the crosshairs over a or b and press the back button. there are tons of people that dont even know how to do this. it gives you 20 points for every kill your squad gets plus 20 points for them too. its pointless not to do it
