  • someone knows where i can watch it complete?

  • this looks pretty fucking cool

  • What do you call that feeling when it's like your esophagus has a boner? Because I got that watching this...

  • i like freaks, hahahahaha candy clark lmfao

  • SEX!

  • this looks so intense! I can't wait to watch it~

  • super awesome! :) only problem is that i dont know where i can find this film.

  • @TheMrMajrester amazon . co . uk (england) amazon . com america

  • I love freaks, too <3

  • Bitches love David Bowie. :3

    xx

  • david bowie IS an alien anyway

  • not a scratch on labrynth .......jump magic jump ,,,,,,,you have no power over me ,,,,,,,,if you should need us .....and baby said ..lol

  • is it wrong to luv a movie because it looks f*cking awesome? i luv parts of this movie so much bc the fashion.... so shallow....... when it was on sundance.... i'd just turn back & fourth to catch my favorite parts!

  • Okay I cannot find this movie on YouTube anywhere! I think he looks great in the sex scene

  • 0:56 This was a much better shot for this scene than was actually in the movie where we didn't even get to see Bowie's face as he's saying 'assuming it's a weapon'.

  • This was, by far, the most nonsensical, drug-addled, yet boring film I have ever seen.

    Shit on film.

  • intergalactic planetary

  • and to think the original studio rejected it because they wanted Redford to play the lead and not Bowie....

  • The movie is really amazing and I love it (of course because of Bowie). I have watched it in a full version that existed until recently on YT and I have bought the DVD to be able to watch it more often.

  • Seriously this is the most bizarre movie ever made. It did bring up some interesting philosophical questions... but yeah some of the scenes and editing make this film nearly unwatchable. David Bowie was amazing, but that was expected. The 'love interest' annoyed the fuck out of me.

  • I'm only gonna watch this because of Bowie. He's gorgeous in this movie!

  • If you have Netflix check out a 86 tv series remake of this story. Remake is crappy and doesn't have any weirdos like Bowie in it and is pretty cheesy 80s tv, but it has a lot of funny 80s Cheese moments. The alien man says to a guy "I can show you how to make a gigabyte chip" Story easier to understand

  • I love bowie, the movie was okay, I thought it was really confusing :/ after I saw it (I had understood like half of what was going on) I read the plot on Wikipedia and understood the movie better. NOTE: This movie is not for 13 year olds like me :P

and the story's really sad :(

  • You think they would have tried to made it more obvious the David Bowie is in this movie. ;)

  • I cracked up at the random "...and SEX!" Advertising really hasn't changed.

  • God he's beautiful

  • love old fashion movies. love Bowie. gee. :D

  • It's weird I remeber readin an article which states that REDHEADS have alien mutagene.

  • i remember seeing this film wen i was about 10 and i thought it was good even then......and any time i seen it since i love it even more.

  • 0:02 - 0:09 - ♫ Ground controoool to maaaajor toooom ♫

  • Ok, pretty good film. But, that is the funniest, most overly done trailer.

  • "You're really a freak. I don't mean that unkindly. I like freaks."

  • I'm so gonna watch this

  • Was that, 'In sight, in space... and sex...'? Lol, nice. xD Well, David Bowie's voice is just too gorgeous - I'd watch this movie just to hear him speak! ;P

  • bowie's best look.

  • One of my favorite sci-fi films of all time. Fantastic movie.

  • I hope the movie isn't as pretentious as Mr500characters

  • @GoodGodStopThis

Man Who Fell to Earth is more like a good episode of Star Trek Next Generation without a happy ending, and more nudity - the plot is not very extreme, a being seeks aid from earth and instead incites all sorts of reactions from earthlings - eventually he is stuck here, doomed to live out his life as a quasi-human who has to conform to get along, without any hope - sort of a prolonged metaphor for Bowie's early rock characters, and maybe himself as well - wasn't bad, but dated

  • The guy doing the voice over here...does he remind anyone else of the trailer for Time Bandits?

  • ANYONE ELSE REALIZE THAT THIS SONG WAS USED IN VENTURE BROS?!

  • @anautumnprayer Yes, this song has been used many times. It's Mars Bringer of War

  • You can watch this movie once and say, "What the hell?" Then watch it again. This movie is meat and not milk. The more you see it, the more it dawns on you that, like Bowie himself, it contains infinite facets. Also a time capsule for the mid-seventies. This kind of movie is just not made anymore. It is Roeg's most effective experiment and that is saying a lot considering he was among the best directors of all time and definitely of that era. Bowie's performance is up there with Garbo: ethereal.

  • i want the bluray NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually a multidimensional movie that works best on repeated views. Roeg's ability to get the most out of photography at its best. Bowie, at the peak of his physical charisma and vocal powers, steals the show as an heretofore unseen metamorphosis of man and role. No one else could have portrayed this part. You can actually believe that Bowie Is Newton. Supporting cast also very commited to achieving an unique experience in cinematic history. Maybe the best movie of all time for those realizing.

  • is he making his voice deeper and lower or did it just get deeper over the years??

  • Looks good!

  • In sight, in space, in sex... hahaha. I couldn't take that voice over seriously!

  • I've never seen this, but becoming a bigger Bowie fan, it's on its way to me from Netflix tomorrow, I'm so excited! Looks great.

  • They were really pushing Bowie's androgynous "sex" appeal, weren't they? Only he could pull off such a wierd and intriguing role though.

  • una vera... STELLA CADENTE... :-))))

  • @TroutMaskReplicaa Yes, I too would judge a film by the great Nicholas Roeg as shit after watching a two and half minute clip... if I were as idiotic as you.

  • I saw this movie when I was in College..back in 1976..does anybody know where I can find it? I mean the whole movie. I would aprreciate the info.

  • @bollinger44 Hell, it's available on DVD & home video,.. even run on certain tv channels occasionaly ( like it's recently been on TCM and IFC I'm aware ). If you get a vhs video of it watch out then,.. some of those are censord! Be sure to get the 140 minute version if you want the whole movie. I'd suggest trying amazon.

  • @bollinger44 just go to piratebay and download it in bue-ray format looks great

  • @metalfaru my friend, i kind of hope you end up trying to make a living in entertainment someday. it is not to corporations and ceo's you should think about when stealing, its the crew and regular workers like me. we are just trying to get by and getting screwed. thanks.

  • People are genuinely complimenting this film yet all I did was watch the parts where Bowie was nude.

  • @LevySid LOL me too. actually i saw Bowie's dick in this movie!!

  • @LevySid HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA XD

  • I love Bowie so naturally had to see this film and I LOVE IT

  • oh lord i own so many copies of this movie

  • I love this film and i LOVE bowie D:

  • MARY-LOU.

    HELP MEE.

  • Haha, the voice overs were WAAY cooler back then

  • MOM CALL THE DOG

  • oaa, i want to see this

  • DAVID BOWIE!!!!!!! ^__________^

  • he looked like very fragil here and i think that he felt himself very fragil to his own fame in that time. far one of the best movies he ever made.

  • @kjsh987 he was addicted to cocaine of course he was fragile he was anorexic and in a horrible state. and apparently during the filming he got some food poisoning of some sort from some milk he was drinking before going on set. had him sick for three whole days.

  • This is Another dimension of David Bowie, one of the few true originals of our time....

whats up with the music? its not like its an action movie...

  • One of the most beautifully photographed films I have ever seen, I mean I was watching this movie on a tv that doesn't even have HD, and the colors were striking! I can only imagine what it would like in HD.

  • HOT DAMN yeah I watched this. I'll probably watch it again

  • Damn, he looks hot in this!

  • Guys this movie is not at all cheesy. It is phenomenal. Cinematically and thematically brilliant, leagues more mature than most anything coming out these days. And forget about Labyrinth-- THIS is Bowie on screen.

  • Nic Roeg British Cinema Genuis!

  • He is way too sexy in this movie.

  • It's SUPER cheesy, but I really wanna see it now! XD (Yeah, Bowie does that do you...)

  • Ahhhh <3 My Sexy Bowie <3

  • YOU PEOPLE LEAVE MY BOWIE-ALIEN ALONE!

  • YES!

  • I was too young to get this movie when it came out. But that

Bowie was so interesting who needed to understand the story?

  • On a brighter note here is a trailer of the movie Nick and I watched last night. Nick got it because it had David Bowie in it. I love to hate it. Enjoy!

  • trailers really were little art pieces themselves back then

  • So that's who Voldemort got his look from...good to know! XD

  • This film makes me cry and laugh with nostalgia. I'm 23 and I used to watch bits of this every day before i went to school. I was Bowie obsessed!

  • I understood the film perfectly..one of my favourite all time films..

  • MARY LOU...............HELPPPP ME. Hahaha. I can never work out if this film is completely and utterly terrible, or completely and utterly genius. But I know that I love it, so much.

  • @jessieintheskywith

haha I know! Actually I think it's a quite silly movie, but in some way I also love it :p

  • holy cannoli

  • i have the DVD incredible man

  • that film, classic! makes ne cry!!!

  • I looove his eyes...

  • AHHHH!!! He's so handsome!

  • I just saw this movie last night... I thought I was on acid LMAO AMAZING!

  • I have this book somewhere. Wasn't the backside of low written as soundtrack to this film?

  • And space... And sex...

  • I love Bowie and I love this movie, but if i would have seen this trailer befor, I would never ever watched it....it's a really bad trailer. or mabey then it they made trailers like this...I don't know

  • Another dimension of David Bowie is that he is Gayfish Alien

  • Bowie as an alien! Perfect casting. I don't think the original choice, Peter O'Toole, would have been half as effective.

Roeg has an unusual gift , among many, with being able to get great performances from musicians, such as Art Garfunkel in "Bad Timing" and Mick Jagger in "Performance".

Great film. One of the best of the 1970's.

  • @pandaeyes42 Sure, Roeg is the surrealist in the true meaning of life. This film is one of my all-time favorites. I own this film on DVD, and I have seen it 3 or 4 times. Bowie is so classic in this film. PERFORMANCE is also a good 1 from Roeg, too.

  • So scared after I watched this I couldn't get in the shower. The same effect as "The Stepford Wives"... He's still hotter than hell even when he pulls out an eyeball-#justsayin. It's Bowie, come on now!

  • THIS film is one of the best! and bowie as alien- that´s perfect xD

he´s so sexy in this film :) <33

  • THIS film is one of the best! and bowie as alien- that´s perfect xD

he´s so sexy in this film :) <33

  • His voice is like liquid gold.

  • @CharlotteWaterlilly Only his voice isn't liquid

  • @ethan1336 Sonic gold?

  • This was a good movie, weird as hell, but a extremely good. And yes, David Bowie is beautifull.

  • Bowie Looked So Gorgeous In This Movie!.

I Hate When That B**** Is All Over Bowie! F****** B****!!!

  • "The Man Who fell to Earth" is the dilemma of all Star People.

We are not understood by the Earth man, who: either fears and hates us or exploits us, sexually, or lucratively.

Earth people are savages, barbarians. What's left for us if we remain on your planet too long?

  • @yukipillows

It's not. The trailer doesn't do it justice at all. I've seen it a few times and it is good in an odd sort of way. I saw it at the theater when it was first released and even bought the original movie poster to it and the same hat Bowie wore in the movie.

  • Well, the trailer, to me, is still good. I own this film on DVD from Anchor Bay, saw it 3 times, read the original novel for it, and I even almost wrote a novel that was like this film. It is one of my very favorite films of all time. It is like a modern-day 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.

  • This look like bare shyte.

  • This is a terrible trailer for an amazing film. Directed by Nicholas Roeg who has a few films under his belt that should be considered among the best of all time. The style is fascinating. Please give it a try. Walkabout and Don't Look Now are his two other classics.

  • 1:23, best part ROFL XD

  • How could you!! you stranger! This is the GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME! Bobby i love you! Mary lou where are you taking me!!!!!

  • I think its Tommy i love you.... O_O

  • It is one of the best! Love it and I almost even wrote a novel that was like this. The best film from 1976 along with Martin Scorsese's TAXI DRIVER.

  • That makes me so sad when they're doing those tests on him, and then he's unconscious with a bloody nose and mouth!!! :( leave David Bowie alone, jerks! (also don't exploit him in your movie trailers)

  • Oh, lawdy! I doen't know if'n I am in the mood for this!

It's got that mixture, as some have said below - of older production values plus camp - I'd have to be in the mood for this.

I really don't know if i ever saw this - I may have tried to watch it on tv during the seventies as a teenager but I don't think I ever made it all the way thru!

Somebody below mentioned Labyrinth - I'm pretty sure I watched that but again - I don't know if back then I ever made it all the way thru it!

  • yes!!!!!! David is a phenomenon of all the times!!!

  • i so want to see this XD

  • This is a wonderful movie. Very beautiful and romantic and the leading man is an alien. I love Bowie.

  • Yes, it is a very good classic that starred David Bowie as the main character who's an alien. I have this film, saw it 3 times, read the novel, and it even inspired me to write a novel that was like it except with a cat. You should also check out WALKABOUT, that's also by the same man who did this film as well check out Bowie in THE HUNGER.

  • ive never seen this movie(which is why im watching the trailor) but as soon as he sed "mary lou help me!" i cried!

  • i like david bowie

  • -drool- its david bowie talking..... then shirtless. and its cheesey. IT CAN NOT GET ANY BETTER!

  • you've no idea how much i agree with you . . *sigh* :P

  • this movie is so weird. I don't get it.

  • I love this movie, i love Bowie

  • mary lou! help me! xD

  • i know its hilarious!!!!!

  • Amazing movie. One of my all time faves.

  • Great movie, terrible trailer.

  • I like the trailer

  • This film came out in the 70s and has certainly dated. Production styles have changed and so have special effects. Still, that doesn't make this a BAD movie. Bowie's performance as an alien perverted by human vices and weaknesses didn't win an Oscar but it was good. I enjoyed this film.

  • true, and the Oscar is not the measure of how good a film is.

  • Very Slow movie, mind stretching and great watch. I just watched it and I felt like was literally in that world.

  • i gotta watch this movie..... but i love David Bowie :DD

  • omg i love this movie!!!!!

    David Bowie is so freaking H O T !

  • Now... I love David Bowie more than anything....But this movie looks awful. His acting skills are not up to par. But i cannot blame him for poor writing and awful characters.

  • I recongized the music in it. Another Bowie referance they used in "Venture Bros."

  • lol the trailer to this is HORRIBLE i hope this doesnt mean the movie sucks also

  • this trailer mad me laugh bc it was such a bad trailer

  • yes funny things make me laugh because they are funny

  • *shakes head* I liked the movie, but I like David Bowie... XD This trailer is poorly made... it gives out a different message than what the movie is, I think... and of course, you have to think about the book, like where were they going with the trailer, was it because of the book? Things like that... But I found the movie to be interesting... yet, that is just me, maybe. XD

  • im gonna agree everything that man said about bowie in the trailer is lol....... tryed to hard

  • That scene where he smashes the cookies made me laugh out loud, I don't know why it's just really funny.

  • I don't really like scifi movies and old films, but I'd like to see this 'cause Bowie is so damn hot in this movie :D

  • HELL YEAH ii AGREE

  • this film looks really good i well wanna see it x<3 x

  • Get the Criterion edition, it's worth it.

  • David Bowie did in fact do an amazing job acting in this film. David Bowie was an actor, even as a musician, onstage, he was acting.

  • agreed. He is the reason the labyrinth works.

  • how old was he when he did this movie?

  • he was 29

  • Incredible film. One hell of a spacy visual spectacle.

  • watched this last night.havent seen it for years.a weird picture, well filmed though by nicolas roeg.bowie is a superb singer but im sorry to say his acting is terrible!and this being his best acting role.

  • i think he interpreted the alien differently than most people and thats why his acting is weird, because he acted the way HE thought an alien would act
