Yeah, Walmart has a solution to that here. They widened the aisle's to make room on the end caps for Sample "stations" they call it. And they sample something from a few random aisle's around the food section of the store. And yes, they gather around those tables, like pigs to the trough, and sadly, I've been in that a few times, but damn, free cheese is hard to pass up. You forget the power of cheese Pie :3 lol
@SixBubbles You're not getting off that easy. Which part. That Costco hands our free samples - That people stop for those samples and leave there carts in the middle of the aisle - that free food turns otherwise sane people into food zombies - that there should be an area for free samples - That an equilateral triangle has 3 equal sides.
i don't see anything wrong with sampling free food? Why not the whole family? Maybe the kids will want to buy it (or have their parent buy it for them). Besides if companies weren't making money from this particular product they wouldn't be providing free samples for it.
@babis8142 I believe Costco is paying as the profits from added sales outweigh the cost of a box of cheese sticks. They put it out so anyone is free to take it, I don't disagree with that. It seems to me people consider it a free snack instead of something to make a buying decision on. In the end, I'm not paying for it so I don't care. I think my video was more about how people react to free food. I can believe the negative feedback I am getting on this. Touched a nerve I guess.
I've seen the same things when ever there was a free sample stand at costco, but hay who doesn't mind a little free snack once and a while
however for some reason there aren't as common as before these days and don't even usually give out the things anyone would actually even want nor like at some occasions since it's random, well at least for the most part
anyways good vid and nice to see that you're still making them
@PiesVlog In today's economy there are thousands of families that have the hard decision to either pay their utility bill or eat? Those samples could have been their meal for the day. Your quote "They have money" was retarded because maybe they don't...Consider yourself blessed! But don't judge because that could be you!
@Godzie1 Just so I understand, you consider my video to be insensitive (and consequently unsubscribed) because you interpreted me saying "They have money" as some sort of disrespectful statement aimed at people who are having trouble financially. You couldn't be more wrong. I was pointing out that despite peoples ability to pay for food, they still get excited when they see free food. It had nothing to do with families who are struggling.
@PiesVlog How many things in life are free? (That you need to live) Oh yeah..Thats right you have free Health care) "lucky" Besides that!
If you can get free food?
Go for it!
It as everything to do w/it. Because those people you are talking about? Are struggling...They would not be rich? because they don't care if the food is free! They don't go to Cosco anyway.
Think about it on an evolutionary level. If you look at monkeys for example, food is wealth. It enables us all to survive. This is why you see female monkeys whoring themselves out for food. Well, same with humans. Naturally, we are evolved to seek out survival, meaning food. This is why you see people taking the free samples.
It's a really good marketing ploy, when you think about it. Appeal to the human's want for food, get them hooked on your sample, and bam, you got bussiness.
@odinthreat I understand why they do it and it works. The main point in my video is how I see dome people react to it. They may even do it to entice customers into the store. You always know there will be free samples at costco. Some people probably look forward to it. We just need cart parking zones or something.
I haven't seen a free sample table in months. They're generally at Kroger or Wal-Mart, however. I don't know what it's like in Canada, but it seems that the shoppers I see here in the US at least have the common sense to keep moving after they get whatever the sample is. As far as my family is concerned, we only get samples if our curiosity is piqued. We'll say "that was good" or "that sucked" and just continue shopping. Considering the current state of the economy, I'm sure the sort of reaction
@evilisbliss (cont.) described is typical for anything being offered as free. I wouldn't be surprised if people flocked around someone giving out free underwear.
haha i have the 0 view lol you should add sound to the intro its a bit weird to just see it without any sound. here in America i swear some people go to lunch at Costco here

@PiesVlog Yah, i can certainly agrre on the cart zones. I'm tired of getting blocked whenever i go shopping.
