I'm happy too. It's very saddening that three of the ten orcas that ventured into the lake died. However, it's wonderful the rest were able to make it. I never thought I'd see something like this happen, but it did. I'll always carry the memory of seeing this incredible rescue on Rescue 911 in my heart.
It looks like someone has an allergic reaction to a hornet sting. Bee stings can produce lethal allergic reactions. Lucky I don't have those kind of reactions.
Is from Anchorage, Ak. that was an awsome video. don't remember seeing it on tv. and during the time it hppened, i lived in wisconsin. it's cool to see something from up here on national tv.
hey mister allgood person, a friend of mine and i were talking about an episode where some kid gets his foot stuck in a toilet. i'd like to see that one again. i was wondering if you have it.
I love this show so much. I am fifteen and I have been watching this show for over a decade until it stopped showing reruns on the tv. I would apprecaiate it if you put more vids of Rescue 911 on Youtube.

How bad can a hornet sting be anyhow???
I mean that was 1 hornet??
Charles Day, Bill Kilgor, and Gene Heiny got stung multiple times by many bees..
But since I have not seen the segment since it first aired on CBS, and don't remember it, I am guessing he only get stung 1nce...
happy7117 3 years ago
If you're allergic, one can kill you. Charles Day survived hundreds of bee stings because he wasn't allergic.
allgood2000 3 years ago
Was he allergic before he got stung by the hornet if you remember, or did he almost die from the reaction???
I used to be allergic to bees..I am not sure which kind wheather it was hornets or wasps.
I am 30 now, I have not gotten stung by a bee or hornet or wasp in many years.
First time was real young, got stung on the finger 3 times...by a wasp.
I felt like Charles Day with all those bees on him...meaning I was itching like crazy and panicked like hell. But it was just 1.
happy7117 3 years ago
I had extreme fright and panic like the guy in the hornet segment and extreme itching and red welts like Charles Day.

What's wrong with the son's eyes at 10:47??
He says "I'm scared Daddy"--of that nasty hornet bozzing around---I would be too.
happy7117 3 years ago
He was blind.

One small thing I remember also, but just barely.
When the hornet lands on the lamp, it does not immediately jump down his shirt as shown in the preview.
I think the hornet like rests there on the lamp shade for like a minute then jumps down his shirt.
If I remember the guy gets realy panicky naturaly..
I think the family says something like they had no phone to call 911 for him, and they had nothing to help him either.

Do you have the clip after this one uploaded? I can't find it.

I have another one up from North Pole (near Fairbanks) titled "Runaway Dog Sled". That's kind of far from Anchorage, though.
allgood2000 3 years ago
ya, i saw that one and i felt bad for that guy. good thing they got him.
mousespup 3 years ago
Darn. I so want to see the next one with the father getting stung under the shirt by the hornet.
happy7117 3 years ago
And just as I thought also. The father was sitting down and the hornet flies from the lamp and goes in for the sting on his neck.
