my friend was only 11 when he was killed in his 4 wheeler accident he hit the side of a tree after landing from a bump the ATV flipped and landed on him full force we lifted the 4 wheeler off of him and he was still awake his dad siad darien stay with us son stay awake darien shook his head and then went into shock i was the only one with a cell phone so i called 911 he was dead when he reached the hospital i was there when this happened one of my best friend died before my eyes, R.I.P darien

All ATV Manufactures State that anyone under the age of 16 are NOT PERMITTED to drive the ATV, unless the ATV is Designated to do so. Also Helmits are MANDATORY and NOT A SUGGESTION. , No Passengers, and No Drugs/Alcohol. ATVs are not dangerous if used proporly, accidents DO happen, but in this case the death was a direct result of misuse by allowing the underaged child to operate the ATV.
My Heart goes out to her, but take this as a lesson as well.

And yes certain things should have been considered before riding and the accident, but things happen and its really no ones fault. Yes I was in a 3 wheeler accident where I ended up getting 89 stitches across my forehead, the scar is 4 inches long and was all the way to the skull. Yes it was my fault I wasn't wearing a helmet, but sometimes you get caught up in things and just don't think.

a helmet is definitely more necessary on a four wheeler than a bike. its much harder to throw an ATV to the side when your about to wreck...they tend to land on top of you.

Sick of people making excuses why they don't need a helmet. It is a statistical fact they save lives. And chances are, if you died while wearing a helmet, you would've died if you hadn't. I've had my quad(Scrambler) come back on me on a hill climb,pinching my head between a rock and the quad. They had to stretch the helmet to get it off. No helmet and I'd been killed. It only takes a split second...and then you are dead. Sorry for your misfortune.

@minirey360 What do you mean, the young girl Carmen herself was driving, Not her cousin. And yes certain things should have been considered before riding and the accident, but things happen and its really no ones fault. Yes I was in a 3 wheeler accident where I ended up getting 89 stitches across my forehead, the scar is 4 inches long and was all the way to the skull. Yes it was my fault I wasn't wearing a helmet, but sometimes you get caught up in things and just don't think.

there really dangerous expecialy if ur not experienced with riding and by the sound of it they wernt....you have t know ur limits ive had really bad accidents b4....(ive havnt ridin in 6months and i havnt gone to school scince it started)...i engourage you to ride but you must know ur limits and get more experienced with iding and wear saftey gear

i got in a wreck on atv about a week ago and i turened around and started laughing and then i hit a ditch i flew up tried to turn acasadently turened the throttle as high it would go and fliped and i was under and it ran over my whole right side of my body and i have like fractured ribs and hips it like landed it didt like roll it jumped and landed sooo,rest in peace cartman

I pray for the family and friends. The report says there were two people on the ATV; not good. It doesn't say if they were wearing helmets. This should be a reminder to everyone to always practice safety when riding.

a helmet is definitely more necessary on a four wheeler than a bike. its much harder to throw an ATV to the side when your about to wreck...they tend to land on top of you.

:( My best friend (Devan) got in a ATV accident and she was only 8 she was riding in a open area and she was at her grandmas house (weird) and she had no helmet on she was w/ her step sis and it went outta control and she fell of a cliff the ATV fell right on her head :( shes in the hospital with no skull so she has to wear a specialy made helmet on her head till her family has enough money to get all the other surgrys!!!

Sick of people making excuses why they don't need a helmet. It is a statistical fact they save lives. And chances are, if you died while wearing a helmet, you would've died if you hadn't. I've had my quad(Scrambler) come back on me on a hill climb,pinching my head between a rock and the quad. They had to stretch the helmet to get it off. No helmet and I'd been killed. It only takes a split second...and then you are dead. Sorry for your misfortune.

ok ive been ridin a quad since i was 2 ive been shootin a gun since i was 6 i now race a 250 quad and im on my way to loretta lynns and i hav the best buck record in my town so i dont kno wat happens over in swiss but here in the usa we do things a little different -by the way i do hav a gun licenes, had one since i was 6
