Well, check Derek out when he and Tony are side by side in the opening of this dance. Derek just gives it that little something EXTRA. He is a dance stylist in my book. He is incredibly charismatic and so cute and sexy.
This was during Season 4 before Derek was on the show. Derek came to a practice session to help Julianne with Apolo and then danced this dance with her the next night on the results show. The DWTS fans and message boards went nuts over Derek and everyone was dying for him to come on the show. Luckily, he did the next season. Now I can't imagine the show without him. He is sooo amazing!! The best pro on the show in my opinion.

Julianne is, without a doubt, the best dancer this show has ever had. She and Derek look so awesome together and they've been dancing together their whole life. It's no wonder they're so good, trained by Corky and Shirley(props to Mark too who I think is the best choreographer on the show) The two of them absolutely blow Tony and Elena out of the water here, no competition.
Actually, in an article with Vanity Fair (?), Joss said that she was not telling the audience to sit down. She said she was "Giving props to the dancers" and that a lot of people misunderstood the gesture.
If you look closely you will see that Julianne's heel got caught in her dress. Derek didn't actually step on it. As far as I know he has only stepped on someone's dress (Jennie Garth's) once. There must be some shows I missed if it's as you say "Derek is always stepping on his partner's dresses." Perhaps that was a slight exaggeration?

Yes, this was definitely season 4, before Derek was on the show. As a matter of fact, it was the results show that followed the competition night where Julianne & Apollo did the Rhumba that Derek helped with since Julianne was sick. It definitely was NOT season 5.
yes, it was Julianne's first season on DWTS, when she was with Apollo. Remember, she asked for Derek's help and they showed footage of him at their rehearsal.
Julianne and Derek are so perfecty in-sync with each other when they dance. I swear they spin about 10X faster then the rest of the professionas do when they're together.
I love the fact that after the performance, the audience stand up & Joss uses her hand to tell them to sit do down...she's like "no no it's alright, you don't have to give me a standing ovation." but the funny thing is they stood up for the dancer's, not her.
i was talking to someone who said they were able to speak to one of the professionals and they confirmed that Derek was coming back, I also read an article that Derek stated he would be back. Louie i think is competing so idk if he will be back, id be really happy to see him though! I just love him =] and Derek too of course!

I love the fact that after the performance, the audience stand up & Joss uses her hand to tell them to sit do down...she's like "no no it's alright, you don't have to give me a standing ovation." but the funny thing is they stood up for the dancer's, not her.

LOL great point! Joss does a nice job here, but the dancers are absolutely INCREDIBLE. One of the best performances ever on DWTS.

i was talking to someone who said they were able to speak to one of the professionals and they confirmed that Derek was coming back, I also read an article that Derek stated he would be back. Louie i think is competing so idk if he will be back, id be really happy to see him though! I just love him =] and Derek too of course!
