can't remember what was in this version. Currently using 35A crystallite with 12 4110 fets. Want to get round to posting newer vids, even faster! Now using 3 x 24V 10AH Ping Batteries, very reliable. ~US$200 each.
nice vid, must have cost a packet for the battery. i have my 36volt 650 watt kit fitted and have running now. its quite fast and enjoyable, good fun riding so low too the ground.
Nice torque on that thing, where did you buy the hub motor, and batteries, could you give link because I went the the team hybrid site and cant find where they sell this motor.

At what speed does the kmx kart start to feel unstable? And what size wheels are you running?
VRdublove 3 years ago
gets a little hairy around 60kmh... 16" at the front and 20" at the back. Bigger wheels (like on the new KMX's) would be more stable.
therhubarb 3 years ago
I've switched to using softer tyres and lower pressure. Slightly lower top speed, but much more stable and slidable.

Your talking Nickle-lithium-ion alike NiMh (V simular ), should have bought NanoPhosphate, or be sat awaiting for the arrival of Nanosilconwire.

does it still have the rear disc brake. I have the 24 speed xclass and want to put a motor on it.
tigger3015 4 years ago
You can keep the rear disk depending on which motor you use. Crystallite motors don't leave enough room, the Puma motors do have space.
I recommend replacing the front disks with good quality hydraulic disks for controlled braking from high speed!
