Bring back Imola! Not some shitty Valencia's and Singapoure's kitty car tracks. Bring back the old V10, no KERS and no DRS, bring Formula 1 back to life!
I don't understand people. From ~1993 to ~2009 they said f-1 is too technical, driver has not enough influence over the race results, also they complained about lack of overtakes and tyres holding up too long. F-1 now has all those bases covered and is really amazing and exciting to watch, but now people say that f-1 back then was so good and now it's sh**. Strange
@ksioamaral89 2005 was also the last v10 engines era... now we have gay V8s... 2007 and 2008 cars were nice looking though.... design went downhill at the start of 2009. i liked the 80s and early 90s era.... senna...prost... mansell...piquet...lauda... all of em were great...and 1200hp cars using manual gearbox... hardcore

@Rob4ourdon What about the close races? Sebastian Vettel wins races by 20 seconds only because of his car.
Oh and who can forget when they use to use tyres for the whole race! Theres nothing wrong with tyre changes but 2006-07 was the last decent season. 07 wasn't even that amazing.
@volcom1722 I am sorry that, but if we take away Vettel if it would be a good season is the 2011. The formula 1 is made for evolution not to prohibit.
To see all the cars equal Indycar and then look at your speech. That's boring to watch I want drivers who take the car they drive juice how bad it is
Taking away vettel would be fantastic, a nice tight season! If vettel wasnt here, the championship title wouldn't have even been decided yet. Even the BBC commentators said that they found 2011 "a bit boring" and not exciting.
in fact, even Jeremy Clarkson said it on Top Gear!
@volcom1722 Anyway, the point is I want a big-engined F1, with aerodynamics, tire change, gasoline, engine breakdowns ... it is unpredictable. Although still somewhat boring, the truth is that in fighting position if it has been fun, but that if that is easily bored forward with DRS and KERS. I think of the 70s and 80s are a reflection of what I see, risk, emotion ... as Gilles Villeneuve's career with Arnaux, that's what I see no strategy
@volcom1722 yeah back in days when the cars looked good and guys were allowed to race. F1 is being ruined by the stewards getting involved all the time, its fuckin shit. I mean yesterday, what the fuck was that, drive thru for massa, what the hell did he do, and what the hell did hamilton do, both guys want the same peice of tarmac, the are going to crash! its a fucking RACING INCIDENT! Fuckin retarded stewards man..
@volcom1722 I think it was probably hamiltons fault more than Massa's, but Hamilton is entitled to have a go and so he fuckin should, its racing! why does it have to come down to 'fault'. why cant they just race and see what happens. The only time i think drivers should get penalties is if a driver was clearly negligent, like Petrov on Schumacher at Korea, or if a driver had taken somebody out with intent, everything else should be left alone, nobody benefits from this stupid penalty system!
@afiqhanifah Too true. 2007 was the start of the F1 industry going downhill..
When all the classic drivers leave (any of the ones that joined 2006 and before) I'll find F1 boring.
The Classic Drivers in this season are: Michael Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Rubens Barichello, Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Felipe Massa, Jarno Trulli.
LOL Alonso is such a kid, huge difference between his and Michael's character, or even Raikkonen's character, and now these days since 2010 he wants people to open up the road for him so he can pass by instead of him attacking and overtaking, bad bad champion.
@xavioloful Mira fijate un claro ejemplo de humildad: Ayrton Senna gano 3 titulos mundiales y gano 41 grandes premios y aun asi jamas pretendio demostrar lo que es hoy en dia, el mejor de todos los tiempos!!! Me entiendes?
You compare that to Senna vs Prost?? Lauda vs Hunt? Stewart vs Fittipaldi? Alonso only faced Schumacer in ONE season and that was 2006.
The best Schumacher battle was Schumacer vs Hakkinen 1998-1999-2000. Schumacher himself ranks that the best, and in those days Schumacher was in his prime as a driver.
Watch Spa 2000 and the Imola 2000 qualifying. Razor sharp competitiveness.
Damn kids who only started watching when Alonso won in 2005 and know of nothing before.
all these jealous schumacher bashers need to sort it out. the ferrari in 2005 was inferior to the renault yet he still gave Alonso a hard time. Alonso won two world titles in two dominant cars so people shouldn't start all this "he won cos he had the fastest car" crap.
@lukeyyyy08 not really jealous. the F2005 wasnt bad at Imola, it was superior infact. it was schumachers unforced erros which cost him sometimes in 2005, and in 2006 Australia springs to mind instantly along with monaco. if he fought clean he couldve won the championship.
Perhaps, but the 2006 Ferrari was superior to the Renault in the 2nd half of the year. It was so good in fact it turned Massa into a two time winner from having gone 56 races without a single podium (which places him 192nd of those 198 drivers who have finished on the podium).
Btw, the 2005 McLaren was the fastest car, but only reliability (Raikkonen retired from the lead in 3 races) robbed them of both titles that year. Raikkonen led most laps too that year.
this is the proof that schumacher is nothing but a lucky guy who got luck with Senna's death, otherwise he would be another patrese, lots of grand prixs, no titles
@SennaHamilton4ever Another Senna crazy fan... Idiot! Like Senna, schumacher worked hard to earn those 7 titles. His Benettons that he drove weren't good... I still think Senna is the greatest driver but Senna fans, put yourselves into schumacher's shoes... LUCK! MY ASS!
@MrTann2010 I may be a Ayrton crazy fan, but if Senna hadnt died, he would have won in 94,95, and perhaps 96, cuz if Hill could challenge Schumi for those titles in those years, than imagine Senna, thats all im saying...
lol only reason he won it this year is because of the fact bridgestone tyres were terrible as you could not change them once during the race and ferrari suffered big time
You don't see this kind of fights in F1 these days. Because the other guy would just press the DRS-button on the street and pass him, which is pretty sad, because the guys can't defend themselves at all.
@ArtificialRed1083 They aren't "cost-cutting" measures. FIA keeps changing the regulations to improve safety for the drivers and to make the sport competitive each year. While I agree true F1 was when you could qualify at 1200 BHP and manual shifting, the fact is if the rules never change, then you will have a select few drivers dominate over and over again.
@skibdattles But if the rules are aerodynamic orientated then Red Bull keeps dominating over and over again as you say for years. F1 in 2004 and 2005 was something where engine mattered as well. God I miss that V10.
Räikkönen should have won this race. He was miles ahead Alonso and Schumacher before he had to retire but nevertheless great driving by Michael with totally inferior car (tyres).
They say Alonso ended the Schumacher era, I say Raikkonen ended it. Face it, 2005: Alonso > Schumacher and Raikkonen > Alonso. Which results in Raikkonen > Schumacher. Guess who won this race? Guess who had to give up this race while he was winning it? Says enough imho
Alonso kinda saved F1 in my opinion... Ferrari and Schumacher had made f1 so damn boring, so when Alonso finally broke his run of championships, i started watching F1 again... I just needed someone to challenge Schumacher, just like Hakkinen did in 98 and 99
@rufisracing no wrong! it was his 3rd win of his career! the first win was Hungaroring 2003 and this win was his second of the 2005 season. His 3rd win in total so thats why the 3 fingers!
alonso is a great driver, but Michael Shcumacherrulz4ever, he won7championship omg.... and he is the best he did a lot of for the forma1 and he is a living legend!!!!!!!
@GAmotorsports He is much quicker going into the corner but the speed he takes going into the corner compromises his exit speed. Alonso is slower in but fast out. I think Schumacher was just trying to get right up behind him and try to distract Alonso but fair play to Alonso for keeping cool under pressure!
@silviubahnovei Hhhhh No Body can Said Alonso better than Senna or Shumacher better Than Senna ........ We Just saay ........... ALONSO SENNE SHUMACHER One Of The best Drivers :D
@TheMokhtarr9 why? because he's spanish and you're probably spanish!?!? give me one reason that make you think he's best , because of his 2 champ ,with that car rosberg would do probably the same in that era,
This just is music to my ears. Alonso being a true champ with this magnificent car! For me whithout a doubt the best F1 driver in the current field. Hamilton and Vettel are the boys for the future, but now its Alonso time. I hope Alonso will win the 2010 Championship, and if possible even more! Sensational man!!!!!

but the classic driver such as Schumi, Trulli and Rubens were unlucky because going to drive a uncompetitive team f1 car..
Schumi - Mercedes (great team in 2009 and not competitive in 2010 until now just finished top 10)
Trulli - Lotus (beginner team in 2010 and 2011 and will be Caterham next year but Hekki owned him)

very nice Drive........... Schumacher couldn't turn single turn with efficiency.
Schumacher made sooooo many mistakes..... many times he got down the track. that's why couldn't catch it up

This race was the beginning of a new Renault era in F1, and it still lasts today. :P

But as defensive driving goes, not much are better than Alonso

Schumacher has slipstream, but also plenty of unstable air in front of him.

Alonso kinda saved F1 in my opinion... Ferrari and Schumacher had made f1 so damn boring, so when Alonso finally broke his run of championships, i started watching F1 again... I just needed someone to challenge Schumacher, just like Hakkinen did in 98 and 99
skynet091287 1 year ago
because in this race he win the 3rd race in this year
rufisracing 1 year ago 13
@rufisracing no wrong! it was his 3rd win of his career! the first win was Hungaroring 2003 and this win was his second of the 2005 season. His 3rd win in total so thats why the 3 fingers!

antoniii96 1 year ago

shumachers so much quicker going in to the corner!
GAmotorsports 1 year ago
@GAmotorsports He is much quicker going into the corner but the speed he takes going into the corner compromises his exit speed. Alonso is slower in but fast out. I think Schumacher was just trying to get right up behind him and try to distract Alonso but fair play to Alonso for keeping cool under pressure!
