Nice dude. I kill to get me a hog. There not to many in south Florida and there hard to catch. Got four dogs and the pigs know how to avoid them. Got a blue tick coo hound and some bulldos.
We were dragging a pig to my chickee hut today to butcher and he got loos. We couldn't get near him so I went up to the main house and grabbed my American. He's never even seen a hog. He is 100 lbs and the hog was 225. He had hum down in seconds. My guys finished with a modified machete to the heart. Chicharrones ..... mui bueno ! Time to make up some brine and start the hams.

I think it pretty bad ass and I have a 15 month old female. @metalfiend69 The only way to train her is to put her on a hog! Simply get a hog domestic or wild cut off its cutters and let her have fun. She should take to it by chasing nipping biting and at some point catching the hog when she does take her off and give her a break. Start off with a small pig work your way up to up to 200-300 pound pig when she can catch and handle that shes ready for the woods but work her up. Just put a very good vest and collar on her and she should be ok.

Hogs cause an extreme amount of damage to the environment, and they have no natural predators. There is nothing immoral about hog hunting. what breed is 'tex'?..he appears to be a pit/mix?...or is he just a lean athletically built pit....pits have such a diverse look because they are bred (by the good breeders) for performance and not 'show standards'. ive seen pits short,squat and ugly and ive seen them lean, long and beautiful. your dog reminds me of a 'heinzl' dog which were known for their longer and sometimes perfectly erect ears. either way, ''tex'' was gittin' er done!!

Obviously from the comments only a few understand the story behind the feral hog and hybrid pig. These are not the pink skinned bumbling creatures you see on farms. They grow very large and become very dangerous. Many are not native to the land and pretty much destroy it because they have no natural enemies.
A dog going up against a creature that is actually more powerful than itself is impressive. It is up to hunters and dogs to control the population.
