with this style launcher is isnt quite as effective as a launch tube one but is more sturdy. Recently I have made a combo of both. The clip is spring loaded onto the launch tube and doesnt go off on its own.

Yeah fill it about a third with water and just keep pumping till it shoots off.
goes about twice as high
