Politics trims the bush, but the gospel cuts the root...great quote! You put into words something I have been turning over in my head for weeks. Many are looking to "politics" and "the government" for answers because they see the church as a place of judgement. We need to be living epistles in word AND deed if we are to address the "root" of many of the problems in society today. Grace trumps "the law" everytime.
