  • how bad is the recoil compared to a 357?

  • @protokingg around 50 percent more

  • My friend is 13 and says he has shot a 44 mag abd it doesnt kick. What a liar

  • @seth10o well your friend is an idiot

  • how long is the barrel length what amount of grain were you shooting and did it make a difference having the ports?

  • @SuperRicecracker 6.5", 240gr, yes

  • it sounds like nothing but i bet its freakin loud >.<

  • You plan on gettin a Model 29 someday?

  • @ExploreDestination affirmative

  • I'd rent one, but 45 bucks for 50 rounds? Fuck that, I'll just stick to the .357

  • @igrungeisded 45 bucks for target loads??? wow thats getting seriously raped. i can find them normally 25-30 bucks for 50 rounds.

  • is this in florida? the gun range i go to looks exactly like that

  • @dennygmc502 affirmative

  • Love to see the free handed shooting. No bench resting. Any modifications done to your Smith?

  • @shem1911 guy i bought it from had smith do a trigger job on it. other than that, nothing

  • the black stuff can be completely wiped off right ? will it still be the same finish? :)

  • @Miguelsr1rst yes birchwood casey pollishing rags work great

  • @zboyco when u use the polishing rags the gun will go back to it's former finish! ? just like when it was brand new?

  • @Miguelsr1rst heck yea

  • im picking mine up tomorrow i cant wait!

  • man i love your gun

  • @ayayay111 me too

  • i wish i would have never sold my 629 classic, dang this makes me feel dumb!

  • i hate single action magnums so i would modify this magnum to be duble action

  • @Predpool no need to modify its since its a double action. i was just doing single in this video

  • @zboyco oh ok i was pretty sure that it was double action but when i saw this video i thought it was single action and have you ever thought of buying the 629 stealth hunter

  • @Predpool It is a double action genius, Smith and Wesson hasn't manufactured a single action revolver for a very long time.

  • thats a man's gun

  • hey your a c-ca web! i go there all the time

  • If you reload try 9.5 gr. 700x imr w. 240gr semi-wadcutter at 1225 fps Very pleasant to shoot. Very accurate. Ultra clean.

  • Did that last shot really hurt or you're just faking? lol

  • You shuld clean the cylinder if thts rust :/

  • @pringles509 its not rust. just some powder burn that wipes off with a birchwood casey polishing cloth

  • Guns are awesome. Enough said.

  • not that ur wrong but i thaught that u could just rull the trigger and it will pull back the hammer and spinn the thingy to the next round

  • that barrel is burning up man, sick video, very nice gun

  • Sir, Thanks for the nice video .

I hope you don`t mind some constructive criticism.

I think you have too much finger on the trigger. Try just putting the very tip on it and when you pull it , pretend you are touching that finger tip your eye.

I believe you will see an immediate improvement in accuracy.

  • why does everyone keep asking if its single action? obviously its double. but anyone who really knows firearms understands that using the single action produces higher accuracy.

  • What?!?!? Is that not a double action revolver? Who would want to buy a single action revolver?

  • @kiknchikn2060 its a double action. i was just doing single in this vid

  • @kiknchikn2060 most modern revolvers today are made in double- and single-action together. the da has a pull of about 10-12 lbs and the sa has a pull of 4-6lbs, because the hammer was manually pulled back

  • @kiknchikn2060 Someone who wants a trigger pull with no creep or overtravel, likes the balance and handling of a single action grip frame, and doesn't want the added bulk of a double action revolver.

  • porting makes all the difference on these heavy hitters

  • Cecil webb!!

  • damn that thing is fucking sexy

  • Damn. What a kick that gives.

  • Is this a SA or DA revolver?

  • DA gun

  • even a melee attack will kill u :D

  • does anyone know if the porting makes you lose or gain velocity with your bullet? I want to deliver all the energy i can to a attacking bear is why i ask.

  • How many inches is this revolver? Thanks.

  • 6.5 inches

  • i got a question for you does the 22. magnum go thru bulletproofvest ? (of any kind)

  • Judging by the color of the cylinder, you shot the shit out of this thing.

  • after shooting 50 rounds it will darken the cylinder a lot. after wiping it down, it looks good as knew when your done

  • Damn. I shot one as well (check my video). Didn't darken up like that :(

  • was yours a satin stainless finish like this one?

  • Yea! Same exact thing, same porting too.

  • guess it just depends on the type of ammo used. was using 240 gr magtech

  • filthy ammo

  • This is going to be my home defense system.

  • I thought the Smith and Wesson 629's were double action??

Regardless, I would purchase a S&W 629 Classic for their reliability!

  • they are double action. just doing single in the vid.

  • not semi automatic?

  • @mattroks101 lol. its a revolver!!!

  • ar't they semi auto? i guess not anyway cool vid

  • its not an auto loading blowback operated gun like an auto pistol. technically it works like an auto in the aspect of you just pulling the trigger as fast as you want to fire until empty

  • Single action only...?

  • no, its a DA/SA. just shooting it SA in the vid

  • I know just kidding, I'm just playing along with that guy.

  • @mattroks101

Yes I know what you are talking about. I used to have one of these, but it was Semi-automatic. I had to get rid of it though, everytime I would fire fast I would shoot a hole thru the roof at the range.

But you are right, I had the exact model that you speak of...

  • @155Millimeter

    thank you very much

  • @mattroks101

It also had a cylinder like this one only it held 12 rounds... So I can see where you might get confused on this not being a semi-automatic version...

  • no its a revolver

  • @ ChromeGhost0219

i know its a revolver it's pretty obvious

  • @mattroks101 then why did you ask if it was semi auto?

  • because i've seen semi auto revolvers. i guess i thought they were all semi auto

  • @mattroks101 semi auto revolvers? WHAT?

  • @ChromeGhost0219 Mateba revolvers probably, Webley-Fosbery also made a semi auto revolver around the turn of the 20th century. Essentially it uses the recoil to cock the hammer, so you get to shoot SAO without cocking the hammer.

  • yeah I looked up semi auto revolver and I saw a mateba on youtube its pretty damn cool

  • Very nice gun. Just bought a 629 Classic 6.5 in. Stainless, only non-ported. What kind of kick do you think this'll be like compared with yours?

  • i wouldnt say it would be considerable more than mine. i read its like a 20-25percent difference

  • Do You Feel Luky Punk??

  • Not magnum loads.

  • they were. 240 grain magtech JSP magnums

  • see this revolver is ported so recoil is dampened considerably and doesnt look like hard kick

  • The sound! The Sound! Made me feel quite aroused!

  • Nice vid! I'd like to get my hands on one of those :)

  • first gun i ever shot was a 629. i accidentally grabbed the barrel when it was very hot. bad idea.

  • Nice gun, I'm looking into getting the 629 V-Comp. When you shoot, try to use the tip of your finger to fire. It'll give you better accuracy.

  • That technique actually works with rifles...not so well with pistols. But if you prefer it then so be it.

  • That thing is sweeet! I haven't ever fired any of the larger caliber revolvers.....something to add to my to-do list.

  • Just shot one of these motherfuckers today. It was by far the best shooting experience I've had so far!

  • Really nice revolver! I like it... But then again, Smith and Wesson revolvers are class. Only surpassed by the classic Colts.

  • no s&w are the best period

  • very nice revolver, 5 star!

  • mucho appreciatedo

  • thanks zboyco for the info i think im going to get it

  • thats a fine deal. they retail new around 750. the 8 inch barrel is deadly accurate.

  • Comment removed

  • do you have to thumb the hammer back or can you just pull the trigger????

  • either way. its a double action

  • some people like to manually pull back the hammer

it increases accuracy in that the trigger pull isn't so long and hard

  • thanks for the info i have been wondering for a long time

  • no problem man

you should go shooting a revolver sometime

it really helps you understand how the hammer works on a revolver :P

  • man i go range shooting all the time but revolvers and hand guns are eleagle in the u.k so it's kinda hard to you know :P

  • I guess its not a gun to fire one handed on a regular basis - LOL

    Great video Zboyco, as usual

    5 Stars

  • Cheers!!

  • no wonder clint loved it so much... waw what hand gun !!

  • you got that right

  • .44 magnums are beasts. I do NOT want to be on the receiving end of one of those.

  • zboyco, your videos have helped ensure that I will be in debt in the very near future. :) As if feeding an AK isn't expensive enough! I am just fascinated by the S&W Model 629.

  • haha. such a great way to go deep in debt though

  • i see you have your own recording studio. good for you man. its the smaller studios that are putting out quality stuff nowadays. i have a recording engineering degree and am trying to do the same soon

  • That's awesome man. Good luck getting started! I didn't go to school for it, but I am putting out the best work anywhere around here, and I am also the cheapest by far. I don't get much business, and I don't exactly live in the middle of nowhere either. I don't get it. If you get a chance, you should check out some of my music. Links to my myspace and soundclick are on my youtube page. I am playing all instuments in all of it. My myspace has my 4 favorites, and my soundclick has 20 or so more.

  • Bloody idiots antigunners....

  • S&w weapons sound so solid.Single action?Beautiful gun.

  • DOUBLE

  • UJS8X, you're totally right about the self-defense part. That's why I hate my country's gunlaw (Holland). We are only allowed to own airguns, but we may not carry them, and if an airgun resembles a firearm it's illegal.

  • got dirty hary riten all over it

  • I love revolvers... and I love stupid anti-gun people watching pro-gun videos driving themselves crazy ...LOL

  • i know right

  • revolvers are just so much cooler than pistols....I cant wait till I turn 21 :D

  • why

  • So i can get a pistol liscence you silly bear and buy and carry a handgun. :D

  • how old are you now

  • 18 :( u?

  • the reason i ask is because since im 16 i can't buy a handgun either so instead i saved the money and had my dad buy it for me so when im 21 i can have transfered into my name.can't do much about a carry permit right now but there illegal in my state anyway

  • cool, what kind of gun do you have?

  • can't say online

  • Why can't you say online? Unless you have a post 86 full auto, or a gun with no serials that killed someone, I can't think of a reason why you couldn't.

  • because i don't want people breaking into my house to steal my guns

  • u didnt hit shit.....u were scared to shoot that gun......sell it to me

  • ok, hows a 100 bucks sound

  • Fuck ya for $100

  • lol

  • u shud defintly try more double action shooting... oh and you must have a very faithful and confident cameraman!

  • my camera man is made of adamantium steel

  • Awesome! =]

  • This is an awesome video. My wife just bought me the 5" barrel version and it is a sweet weapon.

  • Barry, a better question is what is wrong with your country? They don't allow guns? You communist dipshit.

  • Communist? Explain? Why not take your gun, shoot yourself in the face and do everyone a favour.

  • Why don't you go take a flying F*CK at a rolling doughnut. A-hole.

  • Just one more thing, stegmon is an annagram of mongest. As in: You have the mongest face, you massive shit-cunt

  • Eat a huge shit you butt pirate.

  • barrythemoth...why i need guns? i dont need them at all i suppose? i just like to have a fair fight when a criminal not supposed to have a gun is trying to threaten me with one

  • hey dude so how strong are these guns????? and how much are they running. because i know somebody who wants to get rid of 1 for 50 bucks is clean though he just dosent want it anymore

  • these guns are plenty strong. i have seen them between 600-800 dollars new. are you sure he said 50 bucks? does it need a lot of work done on it or something?

  • na is pretty cool it dosent need work he got it with no intention of getting it his brother in law gave it to him and besides he dosent even know nothing bout guns dont iterest him at all. im going to see how can i let you see how it looks

  • Barry...you are british,I understand that you don't like guns...they were bannde there, just in case someone got tired of being ruled by the evil granny :P come on her bodyguards will shoot anyone to protect her, isn't your life as important as her life?why can't you defend yourself?

  • sorry...'banned'

  • Why do people need guns? Well thanks for askin'! -recreational shooting -hand-eye coordination practice (or should I say practise?) -collecting -protecting yourself from criminals -protecting yourself from animal attacks -protecting all your other amendments via number 2 -home and property defense -hunting -overthrowing oppressive governments -blasting your way to safety when the shit hits the fan -military -law enforcement
  • very nice video!

...and very nice gun... five star!

  • i need a bf. im so horny lol B

  • lol

  • lol

  • i have one just like it 629 power port

  • do you like the smith&wesson model 29 classic?

    44 mag

  • love it. would love an original

  • just got my restriced(canadas licencing sucks and so does my grammer) my 629 classic is in but its the 8 3/8 barrell, perfect for grizzly bears at work

  • How is the barrel ported?? No trying to be a smart ass, just curious...

  • it comes with a port cut out on the top of the barrel in front of the front sight from smith and wesson. you can see it better in my review of this revolver

  • im actually 18 n jacked so yeah lol but yea it probably has alot more kick than i think

  • tht thinks sick n it has some kick

  • How old are you..... like 13 or 14... if you shot this gun you would not be saying it has some kick back but you would be saying it has a lot of kick back.... The guy shooting this gun is older than you and more stronger and used to this gun

  • His 19

  • i like this revolver

  • I don't think he HAS to.

  • u have to cock it every time? thats stupid

  • no, its a double action. i cock it to get a more precise shot. but you can just pull the trigger all day if you want to

  • o ok thats good lmao if youhad to cock it everytime like that whats the point right

  • Well its more accurate if you pull back the hammer every time then just pulling the trigger but ether way works

  • Thats very true trigger control... is very important for accuracy.
