  • to bad you went to the island but congrats on the title semper fi brother

  • 1st,2nd,3rd, all the same fucking syllabus. so i don't know what the fuck this jar head is talking about..maybe he's right on 4th bat. though

  • i heard u run but not alot and when u do it is fast pace

  • @cobb606

it all depends on your unit and who is leading the run.

  • 37 pull ups? good god haha

  • @Eirik36 don't make no more points after 20

  • @scruffyrunkin true true

  • STOP TWIRLING YOUR RING! lol nice vid though!

  • Ego and cockiness comes with the territory—that's why we're called Marines. My advice for poolees, recruits/boots, and newly-graduated Marines: always remember bootcamp and the tough love each of your Drill Instructors gave you. These memories will keep you grounded and keep you off from getting into any trouble when you get out into the fleet. To this day I still remember the yelling and screaming. Those harsh experiences become fond memories and make you strong over the years.

  • @dunebladerunnerfan naw devil. you're called Marines because you orignally served on war ships with the navy.

  • @delandobrad hey what should my goal be on pull ups before i would go to bootcamp?

  • @bubbagumpshrimp14

    inbox me

  • Hey I'm in dep and leave in April im excited but I heard I can get disqualified during bootcamp because of astigmatism. Have u heard of dis? I pasted the mep doctors so idk..

  • @TheEnvy32

    not sure about this

  • do u run alot at bootcamp?

  • @cobb606

you will run, but you will hump absolutely everywhere

  • @cobb606

    Man you're a real faggot.

  • I'm a poolee and just can't wait to go to boot. I was leaving on April 2nd but had to change it cuz I had to finish Community College before I left. I know it'll be the most awarding experience in my life and I thank you for your insight.

  • boot. i hope your senior lcpl's find this shit and kill you

  • @rambosperm

Listen here female: I can't express how worthless you are. I think Male recruits are more of a Marine than females.

    Whats your PFT ROFL LOLOLOL........worthless

  • how the hell were you plt 2076 and in 3rd Btn.????? 2076 is 2nd bn.

all 3rd bn plts start with 30..

i know this for a fact because 1... i was plt 2061 2nd bn Hotel Co

and 2.... 2 of my best friends are Drill Instructors. one for H co and one for M co

  • @TravisDish1

    I was Plt 3076 not 2076

  • Boot.

  • 37 pull ups?

  • Pretty humble for a boot.

  • how old were you when you went?????

  • Proud of you, Marine! Prouder still is that I was in 3rd Battalion. I graduated 19 years ago: June 11, 1993. About 20 years from now, you'll will look back on bootcamp and you will--and I guarantee it--feel a chill up your spine when you reflect back on your basic training days and you will start to cry. The past few days (after 19 years since my Graduation Day), I was crying a lot like a girl. Those will be powerful memories NO ONE CAN TAKE AWAY FROM YOU! That title will be with you for life!

  • @dunebladerunnerfan

    Thx for that...Semper Fidelis

  • @dunebladerunnerfan what platoon were you with and who was your drill instructors, we may know each other biggdawg

  • i love boots

  • Question: What was the first week like (recieving)? Ive always wondered do you do a lot of physical training or what?

  • Thank you Sir!!! That wasreally help full Sir!!!

  • what happens if you don't pass?

  • I'm just wondering how was the first week like on what you did and how was the crucible mentally. Furthermore, what did you do for those to grueling two days?

  • @gcomputer52

    inbox me

  • how come some people graduate as privates and some private 1st class?

  • @cmoshier77

bc some graduate with a leadership position and are meritoriously promoted...others come into boot camp as a "Contract Pfc" for prior college credits, recruiting two individuals or rotc in high school.

  • @DelandoBrad thank you, yeah i was just wondering because in about a year when i can enlist, i was just checking if there was somthing you had to do besides prepare or make yourself better....the reason i ask about that is i dont think rank and power is all about the marines, but when i do go in i want to be able to rank up high and fast. i want to be a DI or a recruiter......but anyway thanks for replys and videos!

  • Plt 3040, India Co. PI, SC 2002. Did 5 years, left as a Sgt. Semper Fi Marine (and all other fellow Marines here)

  • Can you explain boot camp by week. ? Like week one week two etc.

  • Great positive video! I don't know you but I think you'll be great at anything you put your mind too. By the way my older brother just retired from the Marines after putting in over 25 years.

@tretee0202 if you want to drop some pounds fast, you need to be working out twice a day & eat 1200-1500 calories a day.

  • @SuperFitRoy

    thanks for the support!

  • no one is prepared for boot camp its more mental than anything good advice just stay motivated.

  • @Josephleemiles4 Whats your height bro?

  • @Ryan24Mathews

    im 6'2

  • @Josephleemiles4 Eat whole grain instead white weat. stay away from sweets n soda and drink water and green tea a lot it burns fat. And when you workout focus on large muscle like legs and lats they also burn the most fat.

  • What's your official MOS?

  • I just happen upon this video Congrats I was in 3rd Bn Plt 3302 India Co in 1979 I served from 79-02 Msgt

  • Only alittle while and I can go DEP in. I cant wait

  • My brother just graduated from 3rd battalion India company at Parris Island! Congraulations to you on getting guide. This video is very helpful even though I'm a female. I have some work to do to get in better shape before I enlist. My goal is to be a guide as well (or atleast a leadership position). I'm so excited and watching videos like this gets me motivated to keep pushing through! Keep on keepin on brother!

  • @carolinaaagirlx3

work hard and go after what you want! Good luck to u

  • how long is PT ?

  • @chamo170

    1 hour minimum

  • Thanks for the advice Marine, Semper Fi

  • hey man your vids are great i just wanted to knw if you think my stats were good enough for bc 3 miles 23:30 i knw slow lol 15 pull ups and 77 crunches in 2 mins i played football baseball and boxed in high school would that help too? thanks for protecting our country cant wait to join

  • this helped alot! lost 60 pounds so far another 35 to go and ill be under my max weight requierment. Recruiter has helped me ALOT in the last 4 months but tis helped me JUST as much. done my strength tests over and over and got my pullups, situps and 1.5 mile run down (11:01). Hope i get 3rd battalion and not the PCP.

  • wait what about fourth batallion if 3rd makes machines

  • @wassssssssup245

Sorry for leaving out 4th Bn. Don't get me wrong bc they are just as mean and tough!!!

  • how many men in each platoon?

  • Is there a recomended Age to join the marines?

  • @ShadowJester717 i joined right after my 18th birthday but since im sttill in school im in the

Delayed Entry Program. being in the DEP gives you a lot of time to pt and get in better shape

  • this was really helpful!

  • @delandobrad what's the difference between battalions? is third for the strong and first for the less experienced or are you just messing around?

  • @danielv0703 There's no difference they all do the same shit. He probably said this because his Bn. probably won in the numerous challenges and competitions at boot between Bns and won bragging rights.

  • @danielv0703 He's messing around...they all have the exact same training

  • @danielv0703

We all have the same training regimen, just taking pride in my Battalion. However, certain Battalions do have their own reputations.

  • if you dont mind how much money did u have at the end of bootcamp

  • @deathembassy

As a married contract Pfc @ boot camp, approximately $7,000 after 3 months.

  • @DelandoBrad thanks

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!

  • you should show us what you got from being honor grad awards

  • I'm on my way. I'm loosing 60lbs. Then ill go to my recruiter. Oorah!

  • Dude no disrespect but your wrong. Once you graduate from bootcamp, you turn into a marine. Doesnt matter if your 3rd,or 1st battalion. The thing is, all the graduates are marines. But 2nd battalion are beast, and 3rd battalion are machines. Good luck on your career and thank you for your service

  • im going to be a marine. im a female.im scared shitless. but im excited.

is playing games like punishment or something? what do the give you after you finish boot camp?

  • Ahh shit!! He got that 3rd battalion shirt on son! I see you! Haha, Good times in the boot, good times.

  • Anyone else leaving july 25th for MCRD Parris Island? if so hit me up

  • How do you become a guide? I've always wanted to be a guide

  • Good Job good motivation keep it up

    Captain USMC

  • Any tips on dealing with a recruiter? Questions I should ask, points I should make etc? And what did you think of MEPS?

  • @DrewRockss

make sure you pick the job field that you desire. MEPS wasn't too bad in my experience..just a lot of waiting.

  • what would you recommend being able to do in terms of PT pushups, situps in 2minutes, pullups the 3 mile run and a 500meter swim ( i know pushups arent on the pft but i no ull do a lot of them in boot camp and same for the swim.)

  • @TBDAMAGE69

I'm not sure about swimming, but pushups 100, crunches 100, and 3 miles in 18-19 mins, but shoot for 18 mins or faster!

  • @DelandoBrad alright thx big its a big help

  • June 20th 2011, MCRD San Diego, 1st Batallion Bravo company.

  • Me being an african american, Do they cut your hair pretty neat and a good edge-up. Or can you get a razor and do it yourself?

  • @Coldkilla770

At boot camp, you have to get your haircut by the barbers there. Don't expect to get a decent haircut until after boot camp is over..a haircut will be the last of your concerns..lol

  • do you go home after bootcamp or do you get stationed right away

  • @usmcDENIS538

you get 10 days leave after boot camp. Some Marines get recruiter's assistance (RA) after boot camp which allows them to be home longer than just 10 days.

  • @DelandoBrad and im going to be a senior and i dont know if i should join before or after 2 years of college is there any benifits with a associates

  • @usmcDENIS538

You would go to boot camp as a contract Pfc (E-2) with an associate's degree.

  • leaving for PI July 18th 3rd Battalion Lima Company!

  • @taylor2142

    ooorahhh!!!

  • Delando, congratulations on your achievement as Honors Grad at Boot Camp!

  • lots of skinny guys

  • was there any skinny guys there?

  • I love your videos man. They make me motivated! I leave for boot June6th, 3rd Battalion, India Company. Oorahh!.

  • @CarlAdams0311

    ooorahhh..good luck..Semper Fi

  • Speaking of out of shape was there lots of heavy guys down there man?

  • @latinluigi

There were a fair share of heavy guys, but they all lost a significant amount of weight by the end of boot camp!

  • okay 3rd position i'm only 13 but going to the marines in 5 years

  • I'm only 14 but I no the marines are my future. Thanks for the video

  • I've always played sports since i was young especially soccer and i play everyday for about 4-5 hrs so i was wondering if that will make the physical portion of recruit training way easier . ?

  • @kalvenstayflee

Yes, if your an athlete in good shape, than it will definitely help you to adapt quickly to the physical aspect of boot camp.

  • two questions:

1st. when you have to pick 3 jobs for your mos, do those 3 jobs get to be in the same operational field??

2nd did you meet any foreign marines along the way?? I am asking this as a (hopefully) soon to be U.S. resident

  • @anteracmacash

You only get to pick a mos field, not a specific mos unless you go reserves. So you will get one mos in the specific field such as infantry, combat support, logistics, etc..and yes I have met Marines who are not yet U.S. citizens.

  • @DelandoBrad ok, thanks :)

  • I took a PFT a week ago

    3 mile run : 16.36

    Sit ups/ crunches : 142

    pull ups : 12

Can this help my get a guide position?

  • @kalvenstayflee

Great run time! Try to get your pullups to 20 and you will have a great chance of being the Company Iron Man. Being in great physical condition is one way to be the Guide.

  • @DelandoBrad Thanks Bro. I'm shipping out on august 15th. ;)

  • How was the crucible?????

  • @leathalprey

Physically and mentally challenging w/o much food and sleep!

  • delandoBrad. Im 3rd Bt. India CO. also! i leave in about a month and a half

  • @chris051099

    ooorahhhh! You will have fun!

  • @DelandoBrad 3rd battalion is pretty rough?

  • @chris051099

3rd Battalion @ Parris Island has a tradition for being more physically demanding than the other Battalions. This is just my opinion along with a few others of course. I'm sure other Marines will say that their Battalion had it tougher!

  • @DelandoBrad Thats what i hear lol but its cool, 3rd or nothin!

  • Were you the guide?

  • @levraijoueur

    I was indeed

  • @DelandoBrad Haha, awesome! I ship out to boot camp in late May. You're videos have been a big help.

  • Im thinking about getting into the marines and i want to be an infantry man how will i know that im going to be an infantry man

  • @jonade123

when you talk to a recruiter tell him u want an Infantry MOS. You can choose infantry as a mos field, but you cannot choose what type of specific infantry mos u will have such as rifleman, machine gunner, etc. The only way to choose a specific mos is if you were to go in as a reserve.

  • @jonade123 Active or reserve they ask you what you want to do before you go to boot camp. For the Marines, Infantry and MP are the first jobs to fill. For the reserves you are basically guaranteed your chosen MOS since they will just call you up as they need you. For active they have a set amount of positions available based on people joining and leaving, and funding.

  • @ebecker10 So if im an active i will have a low chance of going into the Infantry Mos

  • @jonade123 It all depends on you ship date for bootcamp. I believe October is the start of the fiscal year and that is when all the jobs open up. The closer you are to that, the better your chances of getting your chosen mos. For a good idea you really have to go talk to a recruiter and the sooner you get into the DEP the better. The branch as a whole is filling up quickly, and at least the local recruiting station has had to start being very selective and turn people away.

  • 3RD BATTLION "MIKE" COMPANY NOV 1998 - FEB 1999

  • @skywarp1

    oooorahhhh!!!

  • Lol @ KevJumba in the Tags

  • When this was uploaded,i was in Camp Pendleton for MCT.

  • i LOVE long distance runnings with a 80 pound back pack

    and stuff like that

  • Im a future Marine.

Ship out to MCRD San Diego May 2nd!

Nice video Keep them coming. Your videos along w/ JimmyDshea's are the most informational videos i've found about the Marines corps. They've helped me out alot!

  • Thanks for this man. I'm freakin takin notes right now.

  • Damn your a PT Machine

  • realize that being the honor graduate or the biggest fuck up doesnt mean anything once u get in the fleet

  • @MrKyleSchick Except the whole Lance Corporal promotion thing...

  • @keeshanm if you're not a shitbird you'll pickup lance corporal soon anyway. corporals where it starts to matter and i believe sergeant is where they start looking at cutting scores for advancement. i might be wrong it might be at corporal but like i said the honor grad and the biggest fuck up both get the same exact eagle globe and anchor. thats why i dont aim to be the honor grad. i aim to push myself the farthest i can and give 110%.

  • I just got out of boot on the 7th of January, 2nd bat echo. Man that shit sucked, I was platoon scribe and was right behind the guide in terms of leadership, for my platoon the squad leader position wasnt really valued by our DI's.

About 3rd bat in comparison, you're absolutely right I was dropped for pnemonia from 3rd and was moved to 2nd to start training all over (unlucky pick up cycle). Also the guide position is something else, nothing but respect for you. Guide + 3rd bat + india = TRAINED

  • they send all the shit birds and retards to 3rd BTL

  • Sup Devil... I Graduated From Mike Co. I graduated a few weeks before you man. Good Job and stay motivatied

  • @SSan55D

    oorah!!!

  • What did it take for you to be the guide?

  • @Dford16

it took being a leader, being loud & intense, being the first to do mostly everything along with a lot of sacrifice and hard work!

  • how much should a pack weigh

  • @spiker84

if u mean for running it all depends on what you can handle. I started running with a pack of about 20lbs

  • my friend doesn't believe me that in combat in the marines you wear a marpat uniform with a collar ( witch marpat has) and btw do you? cause im 99% sure you do

  • my friend doesn't believe me that in combat in the marines you wear a marpat uniform with a collar ( witch marpat has)

  • do you have a ka bar knife?

  • @christhegreatish

    not yet

  • Chow to chow, that's how I did it to. Haha. Oorah

  • God bless you D! We're proud of you back at home! Love ya dude!

  • @venusmasontheus

Thanks for the support! God Bless!
