@geto235 These guys look like very solid D-1 players. Maybe 4, 5, or 6 singles for a good team? Top D1 teams are really deep. You can have a kid who used to be ranked top 10 in the country in 16's or even 18's playing 5 or 6 singles, and one year UCLA had the former number 1 junior from Australia playing 6 singles. I would 6.0.
@geto235 Okay, after a bit of investigating, the guy in purple shirt is David Chu of University of Washington. He was top 3 in boys 16's in Canada as a junior. in "Washington Vs. Minnesotta tennis match" video on the right, he was playing 5 singles, so I was pretty dead on. (pats back) He has a win over then 56th ranked guy in D1, and 6 and 6 loss to guy ranked 19th. So he's a solid player.
@ChaunceyDos wow cool, I thought they looked like pretty good players lol. Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my question thoroughly, now I know what really good college players look like. I'll use these videos as motivation since I have to get better. Anyway thanks, now I have to get back to practicing. =D
but righties can serve to a lefties backhand on the deuce side. But i will agree that the lefty has better strokes and he seems to have bigger shots too
means that one guy will serve an ace and the other guy will say "let" as if it clipped the tape. I guess its such an ordeal that they just play lets now.
a lot of players still cheat, lol.. that let rule doesnt really prevent it.. even the linesmen are biased sometimes coz the home team pays them @thegarbageman21
lefty

yup
fungamesss 2 years ago
yea i know its retarded and lame idk why they do it but i dont like it
breek1 2 years ago
because lots of college players cheat. Thats why they play lets.
thegarbageman21 2 years ago
what do you mean?
breek1 2 years ago
means that one guy will serve an ace and the other guy will say "let" as if it clipped the tape. I guess its such an ordeal that they just play lets now.
thegarbageman21 2 years ago 5
but isnt that why they should just have line judges or something like that?
breek1 2 years ago
Too much of a pain. You need about 6 per match. And think about all the matches that are played. Its just too big of a pain.
thegarbageman21 2 years ago

svij85 11 months ago
@svij85 Of course cheating still exists but the let rule eliminates the potential of cheating on let calls. One less thing to worry about.
