Great video but I really wish the camera angle did not change. It hid the proper grip and position width and it made it harder to see the elbow range of motion. Still a great video though.
Yes, in that the wider grip takes the load off the back and puts it more on the shoulder JOINTS, not muscles. Aches and pains are guaranteed. Go narrow like the video shows. I learned this trick accidentally over 20 years ago (and thank goodness I did!) and it has always been better. The Wei(DUH) guys at Muscle & Fantasy still teach this dangerous material.

No, that's a common misconception, but the lats are the prime mover in both types of pulldowns.
