I had lunch with Anna Copa Cabanna and the waitress came and tried to take her food away while she was still eating. I was wondering if this was all on hidden camera and I was going to get to meet Andy Kaufman next. Or at least Zmuda! It'll probably be in the next Alan Abel documentary.
No worries, I still have my doubts about Andy actually keeping a regular job while he soared so high. You never knew with him, this was probably part of one of his happenings. He loved messing with people's minds.
P.S. And he had time to do it. It was in his "Taxi" contract that he only showed up twice a week - once for script reading and once for the live filming of the episode. That was another reason he was resented by the cast.

On his biography for A&E, Zmeuda said he really was a busboy while doing Taxi. This was one of the only non- put- on things Kaufman did.
