I love how she just stops when the killer enters the room, doesn't even try to make a run for it. I had a fun time once in the mastadon room dodging back and forth...went on a good five minutes or so with him frantically changing directions!
You also get caught by the murderer if you try to run around him into the art wing, if you head back into the armor exhibit after he breaks the door down, or if you try to leave the T-Rex room with Steve. Of course, the deaths are all the same.
I don't think I had anything too complicated...I had the game setup to use the General MIDI sound driver for music, and ran the game in Dosbox so it would detect my Windows MIDI settings.
I don't have a real sound card or anything, just a default motherboard one. I was using the YAMAHA XG WDM SoftSynthesizer for MIDI playback, but it shouldn't sound too bad with the default Microsoft one.

this gave me such anxiety as a kid! but i love that you pick up the mummy and put it in your purse. classic sierra logic.

I've always suspected there being an elevator death in this game, but I never could get it to activate. Maybe I didn't wait long enough?
