I was under the impression that the original was already a form of dub....and i find that the percussion on this track conflicts with his vocals...Also...where is the Monstrous bassroll that made the original so haunting.

and that annoying 5 note piano roll that plays every once in a while is super distracting.

Nothing has changed. The presence of Skrillex doesn't make James Blake or Skream or Mala pop out of existence. It's just another artist making music, and people happen to assign the word "dubstep" to that music. That doesn't mean that suddenly, no artists are making the "original" dubstep anymore. It just means it now has a different word attached to it.

Nothing has changed. There's just more music now. And whether or not you call that music "dubstep" or not, I for one am happy it's around.

This is dubstep but very light. But the scene has been ruined by this heavybass-techno-trendstep. If you name Skream to any young dubstep listener they will be liek "who the f is that? Skrillex is the father of dubstep!". Sad how this underground chill music once known as dubstep has become just some filthy slow techno.
