Hi, Very interesting video guys, & like all good innovations they are deceptively simple, this is a good innovation & good luck in marketing, I recently put a video up on cleaning of HHo Plates, & the dangers of using drain cleaners to do the job, the chemical reaction is fast and furious, I will send a clip out of my video in a video response which might shock some of your viewers too.. Regarding the safety aspects.
@40baby401 Thanks for your inputs....We are evaluating several options for addressing the issue with tubs and showers and making the PermaFLOW electronic is one of such options.
Just like a conventional P-Trap, the PermaFLOW is tested and certified by IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) to comply with the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), International Plumbing Code (IPC) and International Residential Code (IRC). Most state and city plumbing codes follow the above codes but may have minor variations. It is a standard industry practice to certify plumbing fixtures to Uniform Plumbing Code.
@happyguycol - It has been extensively tested and there is nothing in there to break down. If everything failed, it wills till operate like a regular p-trap. However, the seals and teh dial mechanism has been tested for over 150,000 turns in operating conditions - which basically emans that if someone actually turned the dial twice daily, it would be over 300 years...
@leaddrop - The PermaFLOW geomatry increases turbulence and flows the hair freely without providing them an opportunity to settle down and since the inside of teh trap can be maintained clan with the dial, there is no place for the hair to stick to....
@zlitn - The purpose of p-trap is not to trap debris (though the traditional versions do this anyways). The purpose is to trap water so it doesn't allow sewer gases to come into the house or property....which all p-traps attain including the PermaFLOW.

Does this work with Bathtubs?
oak415 1 year ago
@oak415 - Yes it will work with bath tubs - but you won't have access to turn the dial - so effectively much of the value will not be gained....

may give it a go but i've a feeling this will breakdown a lot

How does it work with long strands of hair? The ladies tend to enjoy doing their hair right in front of the sink.
