I can still hear the background noise when I use the microphone on Garageband. Did you use a pop-filter or some other effects?

For anyone who wants to know, the Samson C01u and the shockmount will go for about 60GBP and 34GBP. Totaling at 94 punds for anyone in the UK. I have this mic and i can honestly say it is the best piece of eqiupment i have purchased so far.

Will this mic monitor?

I've heard that some USB mics don't monitor when you're recording, and you have to wait until your finished recording to hear what you've recorded.

I have a mac 24" screen just bought this mic. I like to record video for you tube via photobooth but when i do i can't hear my mic whilst recording???? is there any other video programmes you could recommend on my mac?

Also on garageband should the setting be on mono? when on stereo it has lot of feedback??

@kingsandannie iMovie will do that. But I'm pretty sure Photobooth will too. Just make sure that the "Sound preferences" are set to "Samson" in the "input" side .

@GaragebandandBeyond thanks for reply. i will try it in Imovie again. With my headphones it seems to work but still not on photobooth i think it's because photobooth doesn't have preference settings anywhere that i can see but everywhere else i've set them to samson on input. Cheers

i use the mxl studio 1 mic and it seems to work as well as far as i can tell and i recomend it for anyone wanting to buy one
