  • wing chun is a blocking and attacking technique utilised at the same time, if you're gonna use it like block one, hit two, do it quick

real life scenerio the person will swing faster and random, thats why bruce lee rarely believes in fixed positions ....at least not for too long. Also this is why sometimes a non martial artist can win by being more aggressive. Real fights are like school fights, random bashing moves, mount then punches to the face

  • the guy at the start could be kicked in the groin with a front snap kick or groin kick stance is too wide should be closed up when he moves

  • groin kick would work here

  • the attackers shouldn't give up so quick

  • Nicee videoo m8 i alsoo doo wing tsun your great

  • @mrsuperking1995 You do wt in your dreams haha

  • @MartialArtsCN yeah I've involved in a few fights. The most recent one wqs most reakistic. The truth was I didn't see the guy coming: neither did I touch him. He elbowed my nose and punched or elbowed my crown. I still dob't know I felt dizzy, speechless and my legs felt weak and funny. The dude was ready to kill me if he had to. I was disables. He could've easily killed me id not for the consequences. That's why I said no one attacks like that.

  • heard that the longest recorded wing chun fight lasted 7 seconds.

  • I was talking about the Attacker, not the defender. You get mad easy. Read my comments the way they are meant to be read before you respond this time.

  • @huangsuwu Did you ever had a real fight? Most of the attackers' fighting like that. (it isnt a movie or a ufc fight).

  • In response to your comments. Yes I have been hit by a Wing Chun punch, in fact several times per wk. The fact is that your punches are indeed very fast but much of the power is lost as you are pulling them back as soon as you've hit the target. Two or three punches are all that's needed if you punch through the target area. Much more efficient than letting go with a dozen or more don't you think?

  • @morph28159

I don't know who is teaching you morph, but unless you're chain punching, you are NEVER supposed to pull a punch. The most basic concept of a single straight punch in Wing Chun is to throw the entire weight of your midsection into the punch. That's what delivers the most punishing power.

That's primarily why WC practitioners frequently describe the "tock! tock! tock!" sound, which is the sound of three punches flattening your opponent in under 5 seconds.

  • @morph28159 oh obviously that person don't wanna hurt u in the first place. Well, in a real fight, a kick to the balls and a punch to the face is quite enough.

  • what kind of fucking moron fights like that? Unless you want to die in the first place, otherwise you wno't fight like that. get real, only retards teach to fight with dummy.

  • @huangsuwu its called training you idiot same thing when boxers punch a bag, its all to do with building reaction, speed, understanding and etc. its ppl like you who throw punches all over the place thinking they can fight that get beaten up

  • Looks very staged and unrealistic self defence to me. Someone attacking for real would be far more aggressive and most don't go down or back off after a couple of slaps.

  • @morph28159 Of course this is staged. But if you think that these are "just a few slaps", reconsider. In Wing Tsun, the main goals are the throat, the neck and the eyes. In the very first example the hit to the head combined w the kick to the leg does not lead to a mysterious ko: the attacker tackles! This is answered w knee to head and elbow to the neck. In combination this is a rather powerful double hit. Of course, as this is a staged scene, the hits are NOT really executed.

  • @morph28159

If you've ever been hit with a Wing Chun punch, trust me.......you'll either go down quickly, or you'll be so dazed and confused that you won't see the next two-dozen punches coming at you. By then, it's over. Wing Tsun is a much more direct and brutal form, as well. In a fight, we wouldn't "slap" you. We'd drive our entire midsection into the punch and aim to K.O. you as quickly and cleanly as possible.

  • some tips about street self defence.. first of all : Allways try to avoid confrontations, secondly , fighting technique ( karate ,lwing chung, judo , aikido..) all this stuff wont help you very very much.but sometimes you have to be smart and you should know your self, because if you cannot fight somebody , it is better to run.in the street fight there are no referees, and no rounds, in street fight people hit , grab and sometimes they bite. if there is no choise, than concentrate on your moves

  • people here obviously never been in a real street fight. you cant always bend and do all these stuff . sometimes we need to adapt to the situation. people please if you dont know dont comment

  • needs more emphisis on a bent kneed stance when you stand up strait your stance is weak...

  • ....a part the great error of bending back when the other guys attacks

  • I don't see much realistic in this stuff....

  • i want to learn from her;)

  • the slow motion really helps

  • i dno what u guys are complaiing about, since the title say" wing chun defence" obviously as a chinese kung fu base it inherit its traits of needing to train, not those easy type ( which might be eeffective too). And i also dont understand why are people argueing whether it look original. Chinese or any other martial art are meant to teach in a way that it work that part of the muscle, and etc etc etc. not meant for u to use it in the exact way it is taught.

  • stöööööööp

  • exelente!!!!!

  • Another made up video. Realistic if you are being attacked by a sleepy guy.

  • lol,the attacker ducked before the counter. poor stances=bad wing tsun

  • Nice video...If you want see my wooden dummy too..

    /watch?v=UkhyhZzxIlk

  • two things.. 1.. realistic? you staged each move.. look at the slow mo.. like anyone would throw a punch like that.. you need to learn the way to throw a street punch..

2.. i have never in 43 years ever seen anyone do or post an actuall fight where someone uses wingchun.. never.. show me one.. you can't cause so many use martial arts, then when it comes time to.. they dont.

  • @mikeandbone "i have never in 43 years ever seen anyone do or post an actuall fight where someone uses wingchun.. never.. show me one.. you can't cause so many use martial arts, then when it comes time to.. they dont."

------------you know they dont have time to capture video in warzones man..... go to any special forces training camp (which you can't) and witness things that will make you want to kill yourself for doubting the effectiveness of these arts....

  • @jeetkunedo117 i didnt mean to sound as though i doubt it.. i believe it. i train it.. im jsut saying you never see a fight posted where its obvious wing chun.. its either a staged attack or just a sloppy fight. like look at the slow mo at 0.29 sec.. who throws a punch like that.? really?

  • @mikeandbone yeah that makes much more sense man. you have a point there, there aren't many vids of it and i think thats because most wing chun schools, or at least the one i train at, teaches wing chun but also teaches how to make it your own so it all doesn't look traditional. i got ya there man i understand. its just im against people saying certain styles dont matter you know? no worries

  • @mikeandbone also youd be surprised how people throw punches and kicks or even try to grapple out in the streets. man ive seen some really crazy stuff that people do that makes me wonder how the hell they think that move would work. thats why streetfighting is both a show of no skill, but also takes the highest skill to become victorious

  • @jeetkunedo117 thats true.. its strange how in kung fu you start at the basics of technique and movement and your goal is to be formless.. and the street fighter has not technique and just wails and his goal is to be precise.. kinda funny ya know.

  • @mikeandbone yup very ironic, but the main difference is if you dont start with something how can you become a great fighter ?

  • nettes video

  • show de bola

  • wingtsun is pretty good for self defense but i prefer muay thai not because its better but its simple and deadly and i love the hard work out !

  • Nice!!!

  • Gut gemacht xD

    140 dumme Hater

  • I always find this video in particular so funny to watchm not because Wing Chun(VT is a variation so please understand that I know that I and dont bother giving me shit on spelling) doesnt work but because properly taught it does, I've trained it, used it and know its works in real fights. People, to walk into a class or two that may be full of beginners and think thats the art is just stupid, to want to see 'real fighting' even dumber. Real martial use of any style is brutal often. Just sad.

  • its the combatant, NOT the style that matters. If something is well trained and trained for real situations, then guess what? Most systems do their job admirably. The problem is the time most people dont have to do that.

  • nice ;)

  • What do you see as a real attacker? a drunk fool at a club?

  • i find those performed self-defences always rediculous. because it never shows the reality, how it works in a fight. i more would like to see wing tsun (or what ever) fighters, who defences themselves against real attackers!

  • 1:05 yea sure

its so easy to hit both arms from a enemy down with only one arem

  • Whats the slow motion for? The full speed wasn't even fast. lol

  • For a female to resist like that I give a thumbs up!

  • chicks should always go for the vital spots when attacked by dudes...cahones, throat, eyes you name it...of course if it's a chick fight...CALL YOUR MALE FRIENDS...or tape it :)

  • wing tsun will work when wing tsun user stop acting like their opponent is slow as fuck and very weak and doesnt know how to punch right. thats when wing tsun will work

  • This just proves how dumb you are and you dont know a thing about Wing Tsun

  • u r so dumb???? wing chun is what made bruce lee n jkd. so how is that not work???

  • thats doesn't nice

  • I was a really pissed off and depressed preson, then, I started smoking weed!

  • We didn't even see a Bon Sao goddamit! :D

  • thats acting, not more!these are studing methods of moving no realy self defense situation, for example the girl if the guy realy want to hurt her,she had no chance with so emotionless and tired conters!

  • such a bad example of wing chun

  • Are there any good examples? 90% of the demonstrations are simply showing drills, with one guy attacking and the other responding. How about an actual fight? The very few fights that are available here on the Tube Wing Chunner's dismiss as poor anyways. Most of which look like poor kick-boxing.

  • IApna there is good Wc videos like Bernd Wagner wtc,Master benny Meng,WC the science of infighting. You have some good & some bad its in all ma videos not just wc.I've been in ma for over 34yrs teaching & studying shaolin hung fayi,& star preing mantis, boxing, wrestling, chi na,submission, grappling, karate, groungfighting & other arts. Its not the system that makes the art its the person.I'm well rounded not just 1have options to me mma is commercial do these guys master all arts no its just a title

  • In my opinion its a combination of the instructor and fighting system. Obviously the student has to absorb the training and willing to put it all on the line.

Right or wrong most students will put 100% faith into their instructor. Its then up to the instructor to help create that foundation for the student no matter what level of skill the student brings with them. Very seldom does an instructor tell his students to gain experience elsewhere because he cannot teach it.

  • iApna I agree you have to have a good teacher to teach you the prper foundamental. The student then has to dedicate himself to learn what is being taught.I ask my students about expressin themselve in the art.I not only teach them but also use philosophy & history on what is being taught.expression take awhile to understand because its beyond the art.Learning expression make any ma bring out his fullest potential. The student is on a journey to find his own capability & his own path.i agree wit u

  • oddinge2

thaiboxing/kickboxing aint shit if the enemie is 2 close or if you are on the ground

  • the girl is obviously a beginner and when her hands were grabbed her release was not wing chun. her choke release is wrong too. somebody with a strong grip would not of let go so easily. and to be honest her chain punch is wrong.

  • Hmm In figths i think thai boxing is most effective i train Kickboxing myself but Thaiboxing was mafe for killing in the fields.

  • The secret is to overwhelm the opponent with the pure gayness of the chain punch.

    ....

Seriously though, these chain punches rock against inexperienced people. Such as myself. -.-'

  • so schlecht gemacht

  • what you could do is.... instead spending loads of time and money on complex wing chun methods is just do some pressups and buy a punch bag - just as effective.

  • you're so fucking ignorant that it's ridiculous how ignorant you are and im so high but i cant help but reply to this and write how fucking ridiculous what you just said was. You think instead of discipline and actual technique that teaching your own ignorant self and training only your triceps and trapezius will actually do anything?

  • exactly. Now on the other hand, if you've been in martial arts for a long time and you buy a punching bag and cross train, you double your potential. but what that guy said is TARDED!

  • I know hahahaha, killed me man. i was so high and i was dying inside and i couldnt type anyhthing other than how ridiculous what he said was hahaha.

  • i wuld argue but i am pleased that u were high whilst writing the comment. more people need to smoke sum good herb den the world wuld be a much better place. keep smokin...

  • yeah bro haha. Im baked again right now. And now that i see what you meant i retract my previous statements. I agree with you now. You're original comment could be easily misconstrued since we didnt have any idea what you were thinking while you wrote it. RESPEK BRO haha

  • don't you think it is a fucked up world when you need to smoke before it gets a better place?

  • i dont get why people say "oh this world is fucked up because people smoke to make themselves feel better" smoking cannabis makes you appreciate the world so much more and improves your living experience. cannabis is a natural plant that grew from the earth so in essence we are appreciating what the world and life in general has to offer more than someone who doesn't blaze marijuana.

  • @mrharoldb i have smoked a lot of weed too but im done with that shit. You are getting super lazy when you are smoking and you can't use a normal job if you smoke a daily dose., you cant do any sports because your lungs will get fucked up by the time. And by the way - there are so many other ways to get peacefull and appreciate the world if thats what you want. try yoga for an example. trust me. it will work :)

  • @pomfrit93 yeh ur right it does make you far less motivated to do school/ job etc and sport, ive also found that it can induce things such as depression and anger which i have suffered form as a result. since i made the comment i have quit weed and only save it for very special occssions as i have had some of the happiest times whilst smoking it. i do think it shuld be legal tho.

  • @mrharoldb Nice one. i am also only smoking at special occassions. but it is very rare ;) Becuase i rather train than smoke. :)

  • yeah! world and life in general offer you a snake! try its bite and poison and appreciate it!

such a very stupid thing saying "cannabis is a natural plant that grew from the earth so in essence we are appreciating what the world and life in general has to offer"... there are lots of plants and other organic and inorganic things grown from earth which can seriuosly damage you

  • maybe you should chill out and enjoy life a bit more. ive had some of the happiest times in my life whilst being with my friends just relaxing and laughing whilst smoking marijuana and whats more important in this world than being happy, whats wrong with that?

  • if you say that i would agree, but don't search strange motivations, excuses such as you wrote before.. they sound a bit ridicolous.. not all natural things are healthy and useful for human beings

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHH....wait let me read that again.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

wait one more time im sure ill get it.....

    nope

    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • when was the last time you were in a real fight?

  • Last year. What about you? I bet you're gonna say something like "I always fight and i win because i do this and this" How many times someone has to fight doesn't have to do with what you said. You say all you need to do is push ups and a heavy bag. Now thats better than the average person yes, but if you have no techniques to expand your potential, you will be extremely limited.

  • im a bouncer so i get in scraps all the time, I was just saying that in terms of not spending a lot of time and effort and money learning wing tsun, people underestimate how easy it is to simply, get stronger and more confident, then u can win a fight easily. in my opinion confidence and strength will win a fight more easily than a wing tsun practioner who has never been in a fight.

  • A bouncer huh? i have a lot of respect for you in your profession. I can see where you're coming from now, im glad you've explained to me your point of view. I agree that experience is on eof the best, if not the best way to prepare for a fight. So do you mind me asking you if you think any martial art would help you in your line of work? Then if you trained in a martial art be it Boxing or Gung Fu, as well as cross training like you said earlier, do you think that would help significantly?

  • if i were to choose only one fighting style it would be boxing, simply as, in my experience, most fights occur in short punching range, and boxing focusses heavily on fitness and stamina which is good as well. if i were to choose 2 it would be boxing + and muay thai - due to the elbow and knee moves in thai. however these elbow and knee moves can simply be practised on a heavy bag. if i were to choose a third in wuld be ground fighting like bjj.

  • ok i can see that. i understand your logic better now, and apologize for my first remarks about your comments being stupid. it was not warrior-like. Great choices of styles BTW although personally instead of boxing id do WC because of its trapping, and also because the basic boxing punches are already taught in MT.

  • Well said couldn't agree more, and this is coming from someone who has dedicated his life to wing chun!!!

  • omg XD

    son scheiss :D

    thats shit :D

  • the woman is a shemale? is very ugly.

  • nice video.

techniques are simple and effective, arms in front of the head to protect and deflect punches is the first point to have a good defence and reaction.

Most of videos shows wrong positions (hands down) and difficult moves (grab strong punches).

  • That last one was quite cool.

  • A lot of martial arts are based on the concept of Wing Tsun... To be most effective using minimal effort. Its a great self defence for eveyone, you dont have to be physically fit to do it, it teaches you techniques that everyone can do.

  • @ enesog:

I agree that it doesn't look really effective, but You should notice that the VC hits can actually kill ppl if you do it right!

    Notice:

Emin Boztepe tried to be qualified for UFC fights but they didn't let him because his Ving Chun skills were too dangerous cos he hits sensitive spots when he fights.

    And:

most special Forces, Bodyguards, NSA, CIA, use Ving Chun for selfdefence

    THINK TWICE BEFORE TALKING SHIT!!!

  • @Pavlinara3 Emin Boztepe would not be permittd in the UFC because he has no professional fighting record against other quality professional fighters. Only professional fighters with a significant win loss ratio against quality opponents will be considered by the UFC. If you look at the training regime of NSA, CIA etc you will see they do seminars with all styles of martial arts. They train no more WC than they do any other style. Perhaps you should take your own advice :)

  • @Pavlinara3 The problem with these demos is that they assume that the person getting hit will always react with such a dramatic stun and roll over and die. In reality, if someone's mustered enough balls to actually attack someone, they probably have a lot of adrenaline going through them, so a chop or a kick unless perfectly aimed won't actually stun them. Unfortunately only true masters have that dead-on accuracy.

  • @Pavlinara3 u forget the main User - KSK and Tsakforce - and i think royal Marines

  • @Pavlinara3 1. No they can't. 2. No he isn't. 3. No they don't.

  • @Pavlinara3

fbi + lots of police arround the world

  • @Pavlinara3 Dude......... you suck.....shut up! why are you telling all these things man we all know that MMA is the best and most proven sport where the best fighters are........blah blah blah.....nah man thank you! THANK YOU!!! thank you for saying that. people out there tend to forget that the cage isn't the ultimate proving ground especially when soldier's out there are using these arts to save their lives and units... thanks man, i would thumb up you as much as i can

  • @Pavlinara3 As they say: If it looks good, it won't work for real

  • @Pavlinara3

plus GSG 9 (one of the 5 worldwide best operating anti terror units) is learning this martial art as well. And as far as i know the MI6 uses it for their protection, too. And these guys spenden millions of dollors on finding the true martial art.....

  • hehe ok looks a bit like a choreographie but nevertheless nice.

@PGD2121 not the true martial art, the best to learn in a short time. U see the guys from GSG 9 train a couple of times but not everyday. Shooting and other tactics are more important than fighting without guns. the found the right martial arts which is the most easiest to handle with a few training ( in relation to the other martial arts ). Taekwondo itf is more complicated but I think more effective. my opinion,( I do both arts-

  • @Greenarrow88 I think the 1st 2 applications stray a bit from WT principle as far as simplicity and going forwardthru the center. I don't see how tae kwon do is more effective. It doesn't use the shortest, most direct route! But ofcourse, truth, most martial arts are great, it's the user that determines whether it's effective or not. These guys looked choreographed.Plus, there's concrete below them. WT lat sau in actual application looks more brutal!

  • @joedrock1 jep it always depends on the preformer, i did wt also for 7 yrs not very long but enough to hav a look into it. ITF Taekwondo is a matial art based on science and physic. Every day technics are discussed and the blocking system, the power of punches, kicks are optimized very well. Wt is a great system and in most cases u train with contact while training. A lot of tkd schools ar just ridicoulos becaus its not real. but when u train it the right way for me it fits very well.

  • becaus wing tsun is not 4 in the ring

there some rulez in the ring and wing tsun is not legal use in the ring that wy he nows he can't use most shit

  • wt is self defense in the street or somewhere. against tae-kwon-do master maybe u dont have a big chance. the can kik such fast u cant see the kik, you just feel it xD. and i think a good wing tsun guy could beat most of the others.

  • wing chun is good in it's position but the position is fixed.

hence bruce lee's changes. as standard the form has many weaknesses you can exploit.

don't fixate on just one style, cover as many bases as you can thats all i'm saying.

  • However, self defence are taught to commoner. You are talking about martial art professionals.

  • point conceeded

  • Hahahahahaha tea kwon do is for pussys XD. I beat up many tkd fighters. They try to kick...i am faster with my fist. They cant control a fist and bam, they lay on the ground...

  • @cave321 lol i said master lawl. masters kann kick fast u can punch xD

  • Well i mean someone with a black beld and something yellow or golden in it. Fight him in muay thai style. He kicks, I punsh, he goes down ;)

  • @cave321 a bit more but yes :D punch in da face :D then back.. knie... and down..

  • amazing.... wery cool fight mode.

  • lame

  • yea leung ting made wing tsun from wing chun.

  • I cannot imagine an attacker engaging in a high attack, when their intended victim has his/her hands raised high. Common sense tells me he/she is going to go down low to throw the person to the ground.

  • maybe the attacker will do so but why should this be a problem

you just punch downwards kick or punch while walking back

if hes too close you can go on with punching ;) and use your knee

  • Thanks. I'm definitely not here to argue but learn and share insights/experience.

  • I like is like kempo for me.

  • traditional ving tsun is the best

  • First of all isnt it spelled Wing Chun? :S All spell it Wing Tsun is that a slang or something? Anyways The guy make me really feel like beggining to it again but the girl look very unrealistic and make me stop thinkin that again :S

  • It depends on whether the school stems from Cantonese speaking or mandarin speaking and which transliteration method is used.

Wing Chun and Wing Tsun are both perfectly acceptable.

  • ok let me clear this matter for all of you who obviously got something wrong...

wing tsun and wing chun is not the same thing. its two different schools of the originale style. i practice wing tsun and even i can see the diffrence. the fake martial artist who dont even know such a basic thing, but keeps saying something they think themselvs, should all be banned from the world of martial arts.

  • thats where ur wrong wing tsun is the romanization of wing chun

  • wing chun is the original martial art.

the wing tsun take origins from it,it like an evolution of wing chun

  • ok.. a girl giving a guy twice her size a shoulder block? FAKE! if your 90-95KG and ur trying to attack a 60-75 KG female there is NO way in holy hell she can hit you with a shoulder block without hurting herself .. so that shoulder block was FAKE UNREALISTiC and unusefull.. chop to the throath was nice though that WOULD help..

  • it wasn't a shoulder block the guy was pulling her towards himself

  • yes and what happens? she HITS the guy with her shoulder and upper arm.. therefor making it a shoulder block/strike... don't act smart csaba USE ur eyes!

  • well I don't act smart I just told you what she was doing because you didn't calculate the fact in that in real life guys most guys don't pull you like that shown in the video but with their bodyweight you know leaning back or stepping backwards whie he puls her so this move isn't fake

  • Ok the guy is standing straight up when he grabs the girls arm. She is taller than him and I think the shoulder block would of wrked here cause he had no balance in the first place. The follow up strike seems ok but then she stops. Weak. Besides that it would of been techinque and not power.

  • that girl, looks unrealistic

  • WT is such an accomplished style.........you´re getting a prompt reply on every question :-)

  • On the neck grab defense. If they are coming to grab you with two hands it would be more simple to keep the center with a side step and a chum or other centerline technique. Also, if the assailant did manage to grab I wouldn't even try to stop it. I would just go straight for the chop, they'll let go when they pass out from the disruption of blood to their brain.

    Nice demo though.

  • There needs to be a slowmo feature on youtube

  • Ending was dumb, but O_O god dam dis seems like a great fighting style

  • It sure is, I'm still not sure what the difference is between Wing Tsun and Wing Chun though

  • Eight hits there at the end... SOOOO Beautiful!!!

  • This shit is gonna get u killed in real life.

  • ottime tecniche

  • Wow, she's badass! I think I'm in love. :)

  • Me too, she's cute!

And she can protect me from bad bullies!

  • i love how dramaticly the guy whos supposed to be getting hit acts...he hella flinches when that girl chops his chest...that wouldnt do shit...also all these techniques are alot harder to use when someone is throwing their full weight at you...its not as easy as they make it look to block a punch with one hand

  • If you watch when he blocks with the one handed techniques he moves his body and pulls the guys arm making his force go forward, he doesn't have to redirect the punch much since his body is already out of the way

  • she chops his neck. I think you'd flinch yourself.

  • They are easier to do when someone is throwing their full weight on you. Less work required to move them out of the way.

  • if i know what di my enemie in next situation its no problem to hurt him ....

  • "Hey maybe if we film it on the street it will look like a realistic street fight!" hahah no.

  • lol. All the wc vids are demos. Not a single real fight.
