  • ...and one more incredibly mean, angry, and terminally STUPID tea party hack, is heard from...E.S.A.D. Eric Cantor...

  • It has gotten so bad I'm not ashamed to be American. I'm ashamed to be a human. I want to be dog. Just sleep, watch TV, and lick my nuts all day.

  • 0:45

did I hear Cantor say "those moneys"?

I though money was an uncountable noun.....

  • @Deusericus

    ## Moneys (or more correctly, monies) is old-fashioned, but accurate. It helps to have a way of saying "several separate sums of money" :)

  • wonder what they'd say if their families were down there trapped..

  • MY first clue was Hurricane Katrina...

  • And it's only going to get worse. Refusal to do anything about man's affect upon the planet because it may affect short term profits is typical of the myopic conservative outlook. Doing nothing is going to cost more in human life and financially than any profit lost by actually taking care of the planet we inhabit.

  • cantor should be hit by a tsunami

  • the storm was nothing just bad flooding in vermont

  • Jew & Home foreclosures :-

    1. 1998, Brooksley Born ( white woman ), Head of Commodities of Futures Trading wanted to regulate the subprime & derivatives trading by the Wall Street banks.

    2. 5 Jews who opposed & blocked her :-

Alan Greenspan, Arthur Levitt, Robert Rubin, Larry Summers, Timothy Geithner - all Jews

    3. In 2008, these subprime mortgages exploded & thousands of Americans were homeless.

    4. PBS video, The Warning is on youtube. Footage of testimony to US Congress included.

  • It's funny how they have no problem giving money to corporations.

  • I can't even get mad at him for this. This administration has been spending out the ass with no results. Their whole entire policy has been, "Let's spend money now and figure out how to pay for it later." Obviously you pay for the relief, but it's good to know that someone is finally thinking ahead. And before anyone says anything, I hate all politicians, but I do like common sense.

  • Please notice that when Eric Cantor says, "Everything will be offset." Peoples heads turn from left to right. As if to say, "What the fuck are you talking about."

It's just pathetic, How these Tea_party Republicans try to shovel their crap on the American people, just pathetic..

  • 35 people killed? hope they all went to my old school =)

  • I dont understand why ppl still vote Republican.. isn't clear they dont give a shit us?

  • Eric cantor is just the biggest dick ...in america plan and simple

  • Again, GO FUCKING DIE ERIC CUNTOR!

  • Just when I think republicans can't sink any lower, they go and totally prove me wrong. What is it called when someone lacks a sense of moral responsibility and a sense of social conscience? Oh yeah, that person is called a sociopath.

Natural disasters are exactly why the GOP cut, cap and balance is a bad idea for American citizens. Cantor does not belong in government, he just can't comprehend the meaning of, we the people and our well being.

  • they just want to spend money to rebuild the top oil countries, not their own country, money money money

  • The comment about homosexuals is uncalled for you little dip shit.

What we need is a socialist communist democratic republic.... And officials who are not fake old grey haired bums but actual smart people who actually want to HELP America and progress it....

Instead we got wars, wars, and many more wars.....no wonder America is falling into chaos

This is why people hate america

  • lol i love youtube captions

  • republicans freed blacks. democrats created jim crowe laws, segregation, the welfare state and the sanctuary state for illegal aliens. your history only destroys this country mr. patheticness!

  • Until we vote them out, America will continue to suffer these greedy dumbasses!

  • To hell with the democrats, republicans, liberals, globalists, illegals, homosexuals, lazy government dependents and northeasterners too dumb to not build in flood zones. Those people reek.

  • Comment removed

  • FUCK Congress how bout that .. ones you get a seat in the house you pretty much don't have to do shit else ...

  • Lets see, Republican Tea Baggers were voted in on creating Jobs (thats what they screamed at the time)…….

They have written zero pieces of Jpb legislation to date……

First cut should be ALL Republican Tea Bagger salaries

  • Holy shit his hair is white. Daaaaamn.

  • Haven't the Republicans learn their lesson from Hurricane Katrina? Hurricane Katrina happened, Republicans failed to help, then gave us Obama and now all this happened.

  • Republicans ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND Democrats are bad. Don't believe the BS that one side is good and the other is evil. A politician is a politician. GE, the cooperation that heavily funds Obama pays NO TAXES. Oh, gee wonder what that is. BOTH parties are to blame, therefore. END the party system and bring in people who are elected from what they believe and not which tyrannical party they happen to belong to.

  • @Vladimus44

seriously, I hate both sides now. Used be on the right but now both sides are one. Can't trust any of them.

  • Obama hates white people.....

  • @plainbob13 stop being stupid his mother was white

  • @58fenix Words right from obama's racist mouth. "Typical white person" used to refer to his grandmother.

  • @plainbob13

Yeah! Obama is so racist that 60% of the people he's appointed are white. There is no better way to show someone that you hate them then by giving them a job that they wanted.

  • @plainbob13 So you watch this and say Obama hates white people. Wow. Mind you Eric Cantor would rather leave you all stranded.

  • You'd think the government would have some kind of relief fund for themselves. They give so much away to other countries but can't save their own people, because saving starving people from other countries, just makes them look good.

  • "family founds the money to take care of a sick love one and move on" So is he saying money grows on trees. Sometimes they can't find it,because some families arn't rich, they need socal progremes, but wait, you want to cut that too, dont you mr. cantor.

  • Why should the rest of Americans help the dumb dolts who choose to live in areas prone to flooding? The northeast can go to hell.

  • @obamaisaturd Cool story bud.

  • @obamaisaturd The coasts have hurricanes and flooding, the midlands have tornadoes, the west has earthquakes, rockslides, and fires, the north has bad winters. There are very few places on this planet not susceptible to some sort of natural disasters. It's not like they were living on the summit of a volcano.

  • If the Republics are liars, then the Democrats invented lying.

The Democratic party is the fathers of all lies.

  • Young Turks BEST video is Breitbart is a Fraud...i recommend everyone watch it!!!

i watch it once a week for a good laugh...thanks young turks!!!

  • FEMA is an incompetent J-O-K-E. Do you know how many thousands of complaints they get a day from people they've screwed over, left out, and stolen from? FEMA is more than broke. They are $20B in debt.

Stop depending on the federal government to solve all of our problems Cenk "the socialist" Uygur. Local communities and volunteers can do much better. On top of that, insurance is supposed to measure risk. If people want to live in high-risk areas, get insurance! Don't stick it to the tax payer!

  • I fucking hate it when all these idiot compare a government to a family household. That's absolute bullshit.....households can't tax people, governments can

"Profits before people" - It's the neo-liberal doctrine and it's killing us....

  • But let some oil spill in the South, and them Red States should get all the help they want.

  • THE BLACK MAN BE KEEPING US DOWN!

  • It's the black mans fualt

  • The Fairness Doctrine has been the "conservtives" very best friend for years. It's about time the press started picking sides in OBVIOUS situations.

  • @johnedwards1968 yeah but now the press back the republicans no matter what and there is no left wing resistance in the mainstream

  • Comment removed

  • The only Republican I ever liked was Colin Powell. I wish he didn't make that 2003 speech at the UN though.

  • FUCK THE GOP!!!

  • @loveofphysics

more like fuck the dems and the gop

  • The area hit by Irene votes GOP less than any other part of the country, which might be why they're not so eager to help.

  • Republicans = Liars

    Republicans = Deceivers

    Republicans = Uncomprehending

    Republicans = Pretzel Logic

Republicans = Destroyers of the USA

Tea_Party Conservatives = all the above, 10 to the 100th power.

  • @sargetech First question what lie are you refering to?

2, what diferentiates their lies from those of the democrats?

    3, Nancy Pelosi... enough said.

4, Explain how that is so

5, Republican house and yet here we still are. 8 years of Bush, here we still are.

6, Explain how this is not just liberal dogma.

  • @sargetech I agree completely, but what's "Pretzel Logic"? Seriously.

  • @SonicThunderBYG Pretzel logic = fallible, twisted or circular reasoning, that when dissected is wrong, does not make sense or does not explain the situation rationally.

  • @sargetech Alright. Thanks, and as I said before, I couldn't agree more.

  • @sargetech

you're a fucking idiot the gop wants to give the aid but not without offsetting it with spending cuts

  • @tubevideoguy762

Lol, you do the offsetting AFTER the help.

Not hold the help hostage over it.

    Good job piece of shit.

  • ERIC CANTOR JUST WANTS TO USE IT AS ANOTHER EXCUSE TO CUT SOC SEC

  • Someone please keep track of all these hostage incidents so they can be used in 2012.

  • Cut the Bush Tax Cuts.......that is something that can definatly be cut.

Time to Cut the fat, from the fat cats..... who think this is their America, but don't think they have to fund it like past American's.

Its time to get rid of these Republicans, they are not real Americans anymore.... and watch them try and make money and political points off of 9/11 this year.......Im really sick and tired of watching that.

They did'nt even think the first responer's deserved help, while dying...

  • How he can possibly say people would not get relief funds from those two edited clips is beyond me? He is stretching and reaching so far it just looks like… well another young-turds vid. What is true is that Obama’s administration was and is using the earthquake and Irene as an excuse for economic stagnation. No one believes this dribble, only idiots… and they are already bed wetting democrats.

  • why don't cuts ever translate to stopping tax breaks for the rich?

  • people will get through this fEMA or not. PLease. I see FEMA is actually broke. THis is a contrived theory that we need FEMA. This storm is recoverable. In a few weeks no one will care

  • TAKE IT FROM THE WAR'S CHESS "

  • It was kinda sad when Cantor said it's like any family who uses the money they were going to spend on a new car or an attachment to their house. I doubt most Americans have the money for that in the first place,

  • If the republicans manage to steal all the money from the poor and middle class how is their world going to function? Who is going to do the manual labour for them? Obviously they personally have no skills in that sense to survive on their own.

  • @qwertishly That's what immigrants are for. Cheap labor.

Even the underprivileged Americans are too proud to get their fingernails dirty. They expect a well paid desk job after not graduating high school.

  • @JackNeet you are full of shit, try saying that to the "underprivileged" Iowans that bust their asses right along side with the immigrants try saying that to an Amish farmer who works ten times harder than you can even dream I've done it. Rest assure it's hard work on a level that most won't even touch, no, it's not that they don't want to get their hands dirty, LOL, expect a well paying desk job? ROFL you have no idea, get some life experience before you comment.

  • @odom602 You must be one of those aforementioned "underprivileged" competing with the Ecuadorian for the box-packing occupation. Here's a tip: aim low. You may be considered if you speak with an accent.

I'll let you have last comment, odumb602.

  • @JackNeet so because I'm poor, I'm automatically dumb? right, I fergit!

  • @DeepSouth16

What statement is incorrect in this video?

What comment in the video is misleading?

I can't wait to hear your answer!

  • @DeepSouth16

    don't tell me...you're religious too aren't you?

  • @DeepSouth16 Holy shit, you're retarded. No, you have got to be trolling because no one is stupid enough to just go into several TYT videos and randomly bash what they say without actually listening to it.

  • cough cough.. Revolution!! We need to Replace All of them!!

  • Let me get this straight Cantor: If the roof blew off of your house, you simply sleep under the stars and not, I don't know, BORROW to put on a new roof. I think I'm done worrying about this shit. These people are sick fucking assholes, if I have to be raped, I'd at least like to sleep through it.

  • I say we just let the state of Virgina be the 'offset' for the rest of the affected areas of the eastern seaboard and let Eric Cantor explain that shit to his constituents.

  • I'm sick and tired of Cantor using the family method of budgeting analogy. He fails to understand that many families also take a second job (increase revenue) in order to meet their needs. Will someone in Congress please use that to shut him up!!!!!

  • Good thing I haven't had power these last three days so I couldn't listen to this nonsense.

  • what about the republican argument that FEMA is a money pit that doesn't accomplish what it's supposed to?

  • He basically said "o its easy. use the money for the addition on the house or the money for the new car to pay for the damages..." Do these people not understand that most americans don't have the money to afford those things? Republicans live in a fantasy world. 64% of americans have less than $1,000 saved.....

  • I got power back today. ;D

  • Xstian nation my ass. Not when the God almighty dollar is the official deity. True the aid needs to be paid for, but it can be paid for by increasing revenue. In times of crisis families look for ways to increase income coming in All the republicans & blue dog democrats have done is to decrease revenue.

  • Wow...i wonder how the people of Cantor's home state of Virginia (a coastal state hit by Irene) will take this...not lightly i hope.

  • I am sure Republicans are sorry Hurricane Irene did not kill everybody but millionaires.

  • It's just more obstrution.

  • @invalidacess I do realize i was stating the obvious but you right i am smart it's cool to find other intelligent people out there that recognize my genius. Thus it takes one to know one =P

  • Well will you still say the GOP is racist? new england is white...

  • Politicize the Budget.

    Politicize the Debt Ceiling.

    Politicize the Disasters.

    Tea baggers.

    Republicans.

    Reich Wingers.

    Sub Human.

  • why are hurricanes named after women?

they come wet and wild, and leaves with your house, car, and kids

  • @100DOLLARBRGR Hurricanes are now given male names & have been for some time. The old joke is really outdated.

  • @calimar28 When the government wastes so much money where it doesn't need to go, then there is no excuse for not being able to put money into helping citizens of your own country in a time of desperation.

  • end the fucking drug war already! 50 billion, take that and give it to fema, problem solved.

  • @odom602 All wars. Hundreds of billions.

  • Why am I not surprised?

  • whats funny is when RUSSIA had that huge wild fire, everyone who was affected by the fire were given 100,000 dollars, lol and the govt can go and send of F yourself lol

  • @jamesbelas "You" in my comment being interchangeable with "One."

Fact is, the US government makes it harder, rather than easier, for charitable organizations to operate efficiently, while replacing those same organizations with a more expensive, inferior service that everyone else has to pay for.

  • @Teremei Troll harder.

  • Do Reich wingers even pay attention to thier own heros when they say we need to abolish big government, out of control spending and rely on indvidual ruggedness of our pioneer forefathers to do for ourselves on oneside of their mouth and on the other side ask for govenment funds to help in time of disaster or economic slumps. I'm thinking of Chris Christy in NJ floods and Rick Perry in the TX wildfires.

  • CANTOR THE TEABAGGER WEASLE!!!

  • Cantor: "Ah big deal, they have legs and Ace Hardware, they can go help themselves! Now if you'll excuse me, I have sick orphans to beat with a stick and speedboats to goldplate!"

  • Great clip. My "likeability" rating for repubs is around 0.004. Shame on them.

  • Jesus Christ and a bucket of fuck nuts, Obama looks old. He looks like he's aged 2o years in in the past 4 years!

  • @Ez3monie Obama has aged probably better than most presidents. But that shows that he cares for the people.

  • Need. To. Grab. Eric. Cantor. By. The. Balls. Drag. Him. To. The. Nearest. Flooded. Roadside. And. Drown. Him. Like. A. Fucking. Rat.

  • i don't know what else to say except SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder if Republicans would feel the same way if THEIR homes got damaged? I think we all know the answer to that.

  • who the FUCK is doing these subtitles smh

  • America land of the fee home of slave.

  • Lets just have it off set by taking it out of the GOPs pocket. They seem to have plenty of money.

  • cantor: take the money from your salaries and pensions. i don't want my taxes going to pay your income, i'd prefer it to go to hurricane victims.

  • Tax the rich people.. INCLUDING the celebrities! Instead of taxing those who can barely get by.

  • TAX THE RICH!!!!!

  • Republican logic for Irene goes like this: Storm hits> Govt does nothing> people get mad at federal govt and Obama> Vote against Obama> Profit.

If you don't have any morals it's great logic.

  • @freewngs republicans understand that popular functions of the government, like disaster aid, medicare and social security, can be turned into unpopular by defunding them and coming up with all sorts of restrictions to prevent them from working as intended. then people will get frustrated and will get duped into their narrative that "government can't do anything right but profit driven private sectors can fill that void nicely." chris christie at least thanks fema and acknowledges the help.

  • @freewngs republicans were saying the same thing during Katrina, back when Bush was president. and look at the wonderful job FEMA did there, bringing asbestos-ridden trailers for the people to live in. brilliant. and now you want to throw some more money at useless government bureaucracy because at the very least the liberals will be able to sleep at night because they know "something" is being done, even if that "something," in reality, accomplishes nothing.

  • @freewngs Um, I think you meant to put it in reverse ( < ) , because what you're saying is that Irene is much more important then profit for themselves. Which it is, but if you're going by Republican logic, then that would be correct. :)

  • @freewngs Or how Katrina went. Storm > FEMA did more damage than good > Big bill > New Orleans is still recovering. Yea the government dosn't do very much in those situations. In this day and age, money is actually having to be counted before we spend more than we have, so it makes a good deal of sense to think that maybe we need to be able to pay for the bill before we pay for it.

  • Fuck the GOP.

  • I can see this being a big problem in the future. The government has a limited amount of money but due to climate change the scientists are saying weather events could get more extreme more often. So how will we pay for more extreme more often natural disasters if the government continuously has less and less money?

  • "Sir, your daughter needs this operation right now. Do we have your permission to begin surgery?"

"Hold on, let me go home, check my budget, call my boss, and see if I have enough spare money lying around. I'll get back to you in a couple of days."

    Welcome to Republican politics.

  • @nemo3590 As opposed to "Sure, the government will pay for it" Well we can't pay for it.

  • @CitrusLizard Sorry, I'm not sure what you're saying.

  • @nemo3590 I'm saying what you are ridiculing is responsibility.

  • @CitrusLizard Really? I don't think so... In the analogy, the father represents the government, and the child the Americans who are left with nothing from the storm. The government has an obligation to provide for the welfare of its citizens--I would go so far as to say it is top priority. If your citizens are suffering, you haven't time to dither about counting nickels and dimes. Help them in any way you can right away, then find a way to pay for it later. Just as a desperate parent might do.

  • @nemo3590 Security is ,as the social contract theory states, the number one concern of government. It is the only obligation, and the top priority. Second, you have plenty of time to dither about counting nickels and dimes when that's all that's left in the coffers. We need resources, and it isn't exactly realistic to say we have more than enough resources to take care of everyone for every problem they have. Instead, limit government, and let the people keep more of what they earn.

  • @CitrusLizard Wouldn't government aid after natural disasters fall under security? Frankly, that's not the world we live in. The one we live in is one where we can blow billions a day on senseless wars and have next to nothing left to aid people who are suffering at home. When your daughter's sick, you get her help, even if you have to go further into debt. American taxpayers deserve the help of their government. If you don't agree, then I doubt there's anywhere else for this conversation to go.

  • @nemo3590 No security is the protection of the citizens from enemies and criminals. Wars are a better investment by the government than welfare. One creates peace, the other creates ivalids. If the government has the resources to help in calamities then they can help, when they don't however have the money to take care of 150 million american's hospital bills, then they neither can nor should.

  • @CitrusLizard This is not about national healhcare, it's about rebuilding after a disaster, like we did with Katrina. The surgery thing was just an analogy.

War creates peace? What kind of retarded analogy is that? Suddenly I'm regretting giving you the time of day.

  • @nemo3590 You brought up health care with the analogy. If you were capable of thinking you would understand how wars create not only the desire for peace, but the actual peace itself. Treaties, the giving up of a position, replacements of radical regimes, all contribute to peace. Do not open up a field if you don't want to debate it. Now as to the rebuilding point, look at hurricane Ike, the victims of that storm rebuilt themselves faster than New Orleans and without FEMA.

  • By chance are the states that are affected democratic voting states? lol.

  • I am usually in the middle of the road when it comes to politics but this is just plain wrong. Republicans need to let it go on this one.Its our country and our money and we should be able to spend it accordingly to the needs of the people.Holding the President hostage on matters like these will not help anybody. There is a time to fuss and fight but this is not it. Political people do not care because they have lots of money and finally they will make more from this.C'mon do your job!

  • ..."Those monies"...? Did he seriously just fucking say that? HE CAN LEARN ENGLISH. IT AREN'T THAT HARD. You fucking kidding me? We have people voting a guy into offices where he can't use proper English? Well, way to vote in someone who can fuck up a bill very easily with bad wording...Maybe that's how all these recent horribly written bills came to light...

  • it's not about republicans not wanting to help people ( although that's hard to believe ) there just trying to use disaster relief as a lever to get spending cuts. Republicans are certainly evil, but also pretty well organized.

  • I wish I were old enough and lived in the 7th Congressional District of Virginia, I would run against this utter embarrassment to our Commonwealth. This guy has piggybacked on the Teapublican machine and suffered from Foot-In-Mouth Disease ever since. What the hell is the purpose of going to Washington if you cannot aid Americans in an emergency?

  • So by Cantor's philosophy, we should find the money to take care of our sick grandparents through Social Security and Medicare by cutting spending on aircraft carriers and never-ending wars? Woops.

  • Now people are I hope finally seeing how SICK this IDIOT REPUBLICANS ARE!! The same goes for the Tea Party!! This is just sick and disgusting!! Yeah of course there are a few of the extreme states particularly Southern states that will still vote Republicans but most other states are sick and tired of these incompetent, bast*r*, DO NOTHING Republicans!! These Republicans MUST BE VOTED OUT!!!

  • I'm so glad it didn't flood in my area when hurricane Irene hit because these people would've been cheering if I was homeless.

  • Obama looks horrible now, hair gray as hell, voice all hoarse and shit. You alright, homie?

  • And yet these dumb shits will still continue voting for them.

  • Are the TYT completely stupid? The state governments are responsible for disaster relief. They are budgeted for it. Cenk is just playing gotcha politics. Its pathetic and sorry.

  • The U.S. Government is not a f*cking family. I wish these people would stop comparing it to one.

  • Eric Cantor (Leader of the US House Of Representatives): screw the poor and suffering, don't help the victims of Hurricane Irene unless we cut cut cut from other programs to "offset" the cost of helping people who are in desperate need.

Leader of The Official Opposition Jack Layton (in his last letter to Canadians): My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.

  • @Hammerhead547 The PAYGO rule of the House requires the offsets. If the Republicans didn't say anything, this situation would be no different. Ironically, the Democrats brought back the PAYGO rule they are now complaining about.

  • @chrlpolk

This is a special situation (natural disaster) so the rules can and should be waived.

Helping the people affected by hurricane irene will be a temporary one time expense unlike the unfunded war in Iraq which has sucked the US dry after ten years of failure after failure after failure.

  • Cenk for Senate! Sadly a situation like MSNBC would ensue.

  • THESE ARE THE SAME PPL WHO DO NOT HAVE JOBS! WHERE THE FUCK ARE THEY SUPPOSE TO GET MONEY??

I WOULD LOVE TO RING HIS NECK!

  • OF COURSE!

  • Removing price gouging laws would be the quickest way to bring emergency supplies after a disaster.

  • @hodoprime

Yeah and when a gallon of milk costs $10, a loaf of bread costs $8, or a gallon of gas costs $12 because of scarcity that will really help people who have no money because they have no access to a bank or credit card because the systems are down or unavailability.

  • @Hammerhead547 You're not looking at the big picture. Entrepenuers will be more willing to go out of their way for more money. ATM machines and banks will go online quicker to charge higher rates. Grocery shelves would be stocked and gas stations open sooner. Price increases and shortages would be incredibly short-lived because too many sellers get into the market. More people will be taken care of than the alternative where no trade occurs and no one gets anything.

  • @hodoprime

There's another name for that kind of shadow economy: The Black Market.

  • @Hammerhead547 Wasn't really talking about black markets. Emergency supplies among other things. Basically anything the people think they need which would be too big a list or too complex for any centralized emergency planner to figure out for each particular person involved in the disaster.

  • @Vyna80 You can't get midair refueling without a stepping stone. The midair refueling is strictly to avert a landing.

For instance, Germany is a stepping stone in Europe to easily get to the middle east. It is thousands of miles closer.

  • @asdfgoogle but what I'm saying is that that we don't need it. Out fighters can take off of aircraft carriers and our troops can either get to the combat zone by boat or plane and we don't need huge military bases all over the world to accomplish that. And just because something is a strategic advantage, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. What would we say if any of the countries with US bases wanted to set up a military base in the US? We wouldn't allow it, I assure you.

  • @Vyna80 Right. I see your point. I don't know enough about what all the bases consist of, but I think it's like if shit hit the fan, the US, if need be, could strike anywhere on the planet within a few hours, rather than a few days.

I already touched on why we have bases in those countries though.

I'm not gonna argue against or for that information, primarily because I don't know enough about it. I do understand your point though and it would be nice to save resources.

  • Man, Obama looks like he's aged 20 years since 2008.
