  • great demo! is it a noisless pickup?

  • love the pikups... the finish on that guit is really nice too

  • Thanks for this video! Sounds great! I'm getting a set of these pups tomorrow.

  • now thats a demo,, thanks

  • Thanks Brother

  • nicely played and recorded......how did you record the sound of the guitar ie mike?,

direct?, to recording program (which one?) or mike to the camera ? etc. Thanks

You really show the true tone and feel of your strat and pickups.

  • what is the output of those pups?

  • Answer 2 my own post below: apparently, riffrafftheband has mounted his AVN's close 2 the strings. At least it's what I must do if I want the same tone than him. FYI, I've also changed the volume 4 a 500k and the tone 4 a no load pot. Added to the Kinman treble bleed cap+resistor, it gives a cleaner and brighter tone when the vol is lowered at 8.5/10. & U know what? It MATCHES THE SOUND OF A REAL L SERIES THAT I'VE COMPARED TO MY AXE. I just have to use a shorter cable wth lower cap 4 the AVN's.

  • middle is nice for country music ...i like this pickups!

  • I so want these

  • are these pickups could for general rock or classic rock in the bridge position?

  • can these pickups do classic rock/ general rock on the bridge pickup? i really wanna replace my tex mex's.

  • best no noise pickups ever!

  • Nice sounding pickups. Well demonstrated.

  • These sound great but if you're playing it through a modeling amp, how much of the tone is the pickups and how much is the model?

  • .Tthx for this great demo! I have the same pickups in the same kind of Strat and I love them too. Just a couple of questions:

-what height settings have you applied to each pickup (distance between magnetic poles and low/high strings when you depress the last fret)?

-which lenght of cable do you had between the axe and the amp? I know it seems stupid but the tone of passive pickups is "tuned" by the lenght of cable used....

Thx in advance for your answer!

  • Ito é uma FENDER!!! Indiscutível.

  • Well done! You clearly showed the different sounds and the positions, and you talked just enough to say what was going on. I think I will buy the Kinmans Blues pickup set. I did not care for the bridge pickup too much but the neck and middle are excellent!

  • super sound top one thank you i know and now what i go bye

    thank so

  • Great tone, great playing! really good demo. Wish the professional demo guys could understand what you do: we want to hear the guitar in a way that it will actually be played. Thank you. What amp are you using?

  • Thx for the video man, I just got myself a new strat and I wasn't sure which pickups I should put on it. This has totally convinced me to buy these pickups. Thx again. Btw your playing was great.

  • I keep comin back to this ..... hmmm... maybe I need these in my hot rod 57 strat .... they sound more like a strat should sound.

  • The Kinmans sound wonderful. Thanks for the demo.

  • enjoy all your videos- great playing and useable information -just got a set of kinman blues pickups and will try them with a maple neck and a rosewood neck strat -thanks jerry cali

  • Beautiful guitar. lovely sound and nicely played.

  • I had fortune to visit Kinman's factory in Australia during a holiday trip in May 2009 Chris Kinman give me a personal 3 hour factory tour. Interested in technology I came away with my head spinning, I had no idea guitar pickups could be so advanced. Kinman pickups are a credit to their inventor because they sound so good. The Kinman factory is not big but still is nothing short of astounding. I have wonderful memories of the little Aussie factory that has such a BIG footprint. Goodonya mate!

  • great playing and great tone - thanks

  • The best demo I've seen. Simple affordable amp great playing, familiar licks and pup settings. Thinking about getting an american series strat and dropping these in. After watching this it sems like a no brainer. Thank you. A terrfic demo. Terrific!!! And theyre noiseless!!!

  • What do you think, kinman or fender custom shop 69' in my highway one?

  • kinmans no doubt, ive got both and the kinmans sound much better

  • OMG they're so sweet sounding, much better than fender noiseless

  • kinmans are made in the phillipines by ghetto trash collectors

  • really ? tell me it's not true please : tell me this guy is not pig enough to make his stuff produce by slaves...

  • I bought the vintage pickups ages ago and forgot how good they were until another guitarist played my guitar and couldn't stop bragging how good they were.. "Ohhh man I've got a 70's strat but your guitar is great the pickups have so much punch".

  • I put a set of Kinman Avn blues pickups on my Kasuga strat copy about 6 years ago. I absolutely love the tone and the fact that they're noiseless is something guitarists using single coils have been dreaming about for years.

It's particularly noticeable when your playing alongside someone with conventional "noisy" single coils. When the music fades all you hear is the other guy's pickups gnashing their teeth.

  • jesus, i want these pickups! they are amazing! just a quickie, how much roughly are they available for these days? x

  • Hi, the kinmans cost £190.00 for a set of 3 from Kinman website, the k9 switching is extra, you might find them on e bay though for less than that.

  • @RIFFRAFFTHEBAND wow in england they are cheaper! in holland i pay 249 euro's D:

  • Wow! That's the first Strat pup set I've heard that actually has a usable tone for the middle pup! Do you have the K9 switching system on it too?

  • Hey, thanks for commenting, I dont have the k9 on this guitar, but do have it on my other strat (white japaneses squier)loaded with trad mark 2 pickups. There are a few vids of it in action as well in my videos, check it out.

  • @RIFFRAFFTHEBAND

2d attempt to post... Thx for this demo! I have the same pups in the same kind of Strat (among others) and I find them great too.

Just a question: which heigth settings do you apply (which gap between wound/plain strings and pole pieces, for each pickup)?

Thx in advance for your answer.

  • Your guitar is beautiful!

  • Excellent playing mate, super-clean and phenomenal tone, I'm for a set of those pickups!

  • Nice playing!

  • Great clip. I've had the AVn blues set in my Strat for about 7 years now and I wouldn't think of swapping them out for anything. Your hybrid picking is awesome btw.

  • Hi, I play a lot of classic rock and songs using distortion , even high gain distortion, and these pickups are the best I have ever came across, no feedback and no microphonics, I will do a vid soon so you can hear them distorted if u like

  • Would be very keen to hear these pickups distorted. Your videos are great and insightful, thanks, and keep up the good work!

  • hello pal...very nice play style..!!! I loved it! I want to ask you somthing by the way..How do these pickups deal with distortion?? I would love if you could tell me!!

    Thanks

  • Very nicely done! Kinman's rule :)

  • Davy; every thing in this video was 10 out of 10!...Keep them coming.
