@VincentVolaju I think he says it that way because North Americans can't seem to pronounce German names, no matter how many times they try. My father, also German, does the same thing. After 10 years he has given up and just introduces himself in a way that Americans and Canadians can pronounce. I refuse, I pronounce it as German as possible ;).
