i enjoyed watching, do you know anyone that can get more zoom in? im interested in looking at a close ups of the moons surface but cannot find any thing closer than this. looking at the nasa footage does not show a single panoramic shot of the hills and valleys. is it just me or do any of you find this very strange when you consider the technology we have in 2011?i can go outside now and take fantastic shots of the mountains on my phone better than what nasa have taken of the moon...Why?
@MrJustintime72 This was taken with a Panasonic SDR-S26 camcorder that has an amazing 70X optical zoom(not digital). I could put a lens doubler on it and zoom in at 140X, not sure how good it would be. The main way people film the Moon close-up is with a telescope hooked up to a camera. I would say 8" to 15" reflective telescopes would do the trick.
@ufonv - thanks for replying, you get a nice shot. i've just looked on john leers site and his friend bill has captured an awsome image of the moon. but it dose not show any close ups. in fact it is not as good as watching your video. can you imagine standing on the moon and not taking a few decent shots of the panarama, to view when you got back home? i feel like i am the only one who wants to look at the moons surface in close up, in hd and colour to get a sence of its real mind blowin beauty
