Very nice review, Any reason why you went with the SA instead of the SAT version which could also split the sounds with a y cord as well? Just wondering because i'm on the fence over the SA or SAT
@1906aldo if you're playing it like an acoustic guitar use an acoustic amp, if you're playing the magnetic pickup, use an electric amp. It does both really well.
If you still have this guitar, I have been using DR "Zebra" hybrid strings in my Godin Solidac hybrid guitar. They are hand made with alternating Nickel and Phos/Bronze strands in the wrap to allow a full sound from the magnetic pickups, while still offering a nice warm tone from the acoustic pickup.
Wonderful review! I have owned a Crafter CT-120-12/EQBK (12 String) for about 10 years and I have been very impressed by the acoustic tone and versatility of this guitar. I will definately look into this hybrid and will look to have my local guitar tech set it up like yous. Awesome!
I got mine from Drum Power in Bayswater - Melbourne, they have the acoustics and SA's and a couple of the Jazz box electrics but I haven't seen any of the solid bodies. I'm sure they could order in. There is a few shops who sell on ebay do a search and you might find some in your area...good luck.
HI this is a crafter SA. As I mentioned in the review I had it modified, it does not come with 2 separate jack just 1. you will have to customize it. good luck :)

The Godin Solidac video response was simply to show how great the DR "zebra" strings sound on another instrument.

@uoft93 thanks for the tip, I have heard of them but never tried them. I might have to check them out. I still use this guitar every week for gigs...

Great review (watched all 3 parts) - thanks for doing this! Considering getting a sub-$1000 hybrid and the Crafter SA is definitely in the running.
Out of curiosity, what did the guitar tech charge for your mods? Looks very professional!

Ive been searching for Crafter Guitars in Australia - where did you purchase it? Do they have the full line of electrics from Crafter as well?
