  • Phil Keaggy says It's impossible Hendrix ever heard him and that the story is a myth. Incidentally the same story circulates about Rory Gallagher, as in: How does it feel to be the greatest guitarist? To which Hendrix replied "I don't know, go ask Rory Gallagher".

  • @manofthecloth I left you a message concerning Phil and Hendrix. You didn't get it because I did not "adress" it properly, but if you follow this message you should be able to find it! All Apoligies for the trouble caused on my end!

  • manofthecloth I don't belive Hendrix said that only because I have heard other false comments about a Keaggy vs Hendrix guitar duel in which a frustrated Keaggy cut off his finger(he actually lost the finger in a childhood accident)! I have also never heard Phil mention meeting Hendrix! I guess you could ask the next time you see him as he is very friendly and easy to meet at his concerts!

  • Check out the way he uses his thumb at about 3:14. He knows all the tricks, for sure!.I've asked him to play my favorite riffs and he would play them right in front of me, face to face. I was young on guitar then, and most of it went right over my head. Now I can play a lot of his riffs, but still nowhere near his quality overall, but then - who is?

  • THIS is the phil Keagy that Jimmy hendrix said was BETTER than him! [London, 1970]

  • @manofthecloth613 Did Hendrix really say that? What a compliment.

  • Nobody could lead a worship service like Phil. I go back with Phil before we were both Christians. He played in "The New Hudson Exit," back in '66-'67. They could sing and play "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band," better than you know who. Phil tried to catch Kathryn Kuhlman at Stambaugh Auditorium regularly, and often led the singing at Pleasant Valley Evangelical church. Those were the days! No finer Christian on the planet.

  • @cmaglaughlin I used to go to Pleasant Valley in those days, also. I knew Peter York a little, and Tom and Paula (Tom had the painted up "Jesus" van. Those were great days! Tom and Paula were great to me. I was hitch-hiking 85 miles each way twice a week to go there. I was in high school in Pennsylvania. Those were great times! I'll always be imprinted with Phil Keaggy from those days. His humble, giving spirit, not egotistical at all about being such a great player.

  • great guitar solo

  • This guy may as well be singing in Swahili---I can't understand a thing he's saying! lol

  • I have this entire concert. I found the tapes at the Video Production company where I worked. This concert was in Cleveland.

  • dude I used to see Glass harp all the time when i was a teenager in New Castle, PA. How'd you even get this?

  • Keaggy is incomparable, at that time he was his own and still stands on his own. He is no doubt one of the greatest and he had a good back up band. Regardless of his personal religious faith, you hear GOD when he plays those strings.

  • I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO PHIL KEAGGY AND RANDY STONEHILL!!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! BUT REALLY, AFTER 30 YEARS OF NONSTOP PK AND UNCLE STONEHILL, IS THERE ANY HELP?

  • for goosebumps ... check out Crimson & Blue "Nothing but the Blood" ... unlike any version you've ever heard

  • Very, very, very funky rock and stellar guitar.

  • Holy Crap! I live in Erie, PA and Glass Harp used to play here at least once a month. Played a great venue called Rainbow Gardens at a local amusement park ( Waldameer). I actually painted the cover of SYNERGY on my bedroom wall when I was 16. AHHH.....the good old days huh !!??

  • Phil looks related to Paul McCartney

  • The bass player is Dan Pecchio!!!

  • what song is this?

  • A young Derek Smalls on bass

  • @mcadarette Might have been a period when Derek briefly left the Tap. Great call sir.

  • @mcadarette Might have been a period when Derek briefly left the Tap. Great call sir.

  • @ SenorSpode This PBS affiliate concert was done just prior to Phil's leaving Glass Harp and joining a California Jesus Music group called Love Song for a brief period. After that, he moved to upstate New York to a ministry called Love Inn and eventually started releasing solo albums. So he had been a believer for a couple of years by the time this broadcast was done.

  • @sounddude51

Love Inn was my home church as a kid .. My step dad used to jam with Phil sometimes.

  • @sounddude51

Love Inn was my home church as a kid .. My step dad used to jam with Phil sometimes.

  • 02:27 - 2:31 - My God!

  • I saw Glass Harp both at Dover Ohio South Elementary School gym and at New Philadelphia High School gym back in 1970-71. We absolutely were in awe of the music.

Around 25 years later I asked my one friend if he wanted to go see Glass Harp. He laughed and said, When? I said May 22 or 23... It was a live performance reunion in Akron for their release of the 25 year old album from Carnegie Hall.

True to form Pecchio, Sferra, and Keaggy were incredible, pulling us back in again.

  • @klx678 Great story! Would love to have seen the reunion

  • mind blowing stuff right there!

  • No, Phil was born again by here..( Born again 1970?) Please listen to the music. As a life long Youngstown resident, (Poland) He is the most normal, humblest person you could ever meet. He is just a really good guitar player. He will be performing in Coitsville, OH, in October. So close to home, but I have to work that night. A legend, a Christian, and so much a voice to those who the Lord has saved so many lives. Yes, Praise the Lord. Jesus Christ!

  • Just saw these guys last night. Quite a performance.

  • I met Phil in Nov. 91, Seattle...300 of us were waiting to meet him backstage, there were only 8 of us left when he emerged. He was dressed to go and tired, he came out, looked and said "You all been waiting for ME?" We all said "No, you're tired, let's do this another time", but he insisted on signing autographs and doing photo ops. I got to pose for a pic with him. He may be about 5 feet tall, but he's the tallest guy in the world on the guitar.

  • Is this a Glass Harp original or a tribute?

  • @KnitsAndKnitability Original. Definitely original. That was Phil Keaggy himself shredding the strings. Look at the right hand and notice the missing middle finger. Definitely Keaggy.

  • AND IT TOTALLY LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE B.B.C. TELEVISION OR SOMETHING.

CHECK OUT THE WILD VEST THAT PHIL IS WEARING IS THAT MADE OUT OF MACRAME???? L.O.L.

AND IS THAT KENNY LOGGINS PLAYING BASS AND SINGING?

    I'M DEFINITELY FAVORITING THIS ONE!

  • WOW! THIS WAS AN INSANE FIND!

THAT WAS INSANELY GOOD! THE GUITAR SOUNDS AWESOME!

THE BAND IS SUPER TIGHT TOO!

PHIL HAD CHOPS FOR DAYS BACK THEN,

I WONDER IF HE CAN STILL PULL OFF THAT STYLE OF PLAYING?

ITS LIKE CLAPTON MEETS PAGE, MEETS BECK, MEETS TED NUGENT, MEETS LESLIE WEST, MEETS FREE OR BAD CO.

I LOVE THIS, JUST AWESOME 70'S LONG HAIR, HIPPIE, STONER ROCK.

I WONDER IF PHIL WAS A CHRISTIAN YET, AT THE TIME OF THE FILMING OF THIS?

  • @texocalitunes At the time, Phil was not a Believer; this was probably done before his mom died and before he spiralled into drugs. After the experience, he became a Believer.

  • @texocalitunes A) Yes, he can still pull off that style. Do a YouTube search for "When Love Came to Town Keaggy Lang", Keaggy and Johnny Lang collaborating live on the U2 tune. The dueling solo at @3:00 is nice; check out Lang's face when he hears what Keaggy does.

    B) This Glass Harp clip was recorded before Keaggy was a Christian, if I'm not mistaken.

    C) The bass player is Danny Pecchio. But, yeah, he looks a little like Kenny Loggins, doesn't he?

  • Anyone here remember the "Freak Out" on Midlotian before it burned? Glass Harp, Left End, Poobah, Blue Ash, Brainchild? OK, you must be around 58 or 60 or older but WHAT BANDS from here in Youngstown!!!! Please, Poobah and Glass Harp ( OK, Left End) are some of the best rock bands from the early 70's. Bare none. PERIOD. Nationally airplay? No. OK, the Human Beinz. Phenomenal bands and guitarists? YES!! Peppermint Recordings on Indianola? Come on, Youngstown! Remember when?? Blue Ash??

  • @voxking23

I spent many a night at a club on Midlothian, called The Apartment, watching Left End, early '70s. Was that the re-built "Freak Out"?

  • I don't really listen to any gospel music at all, but Keaggy is just rediculous on guitar. Man never got the credit he deserves.

  • One of the best old time videos from Ohio! Phil is the greatest guitar player of all time.....even Jimi Hendrix thought he was better than himself.

  • @airbuscaptain2000 Keaggy himself says that was urban legend. Glass Harp recorded their first album at Electric Lady Land studios 2 weeks after Hendrix died, so Hendrix never got to hear Keaggy play. This rumor was also attributed to Eric Clapton and Eddie Van Halen. From Wikipedia: "Years later, Amboy Dukes guitarist Ted Nugent was quoted as saying 'I don't know what happened to that Phil Keaggy. He could have saved the world with his guitar.'"

  • dude these guys are awesome

  • i think that it is amazing that phil is self taught.it's like he invented his own style.after almost 40 yrs of playing,it seems that he never plays the same lead break.how is that?get down with your bad self.

  • This music is STILL BadAXE!

Keaggy is the king! Scary stuff considering the tools of the trade in the day.

Absolutely technical stuff and melodic too! Man...I'm sick....I've never played a 10th that good.

  • Phil had a lot more hair back then.

  • I saw Glass Harp warm up for the KinKs at Ludlow Garage in Cincy, OH back in 1969. I sat on the floor in the front row and he blew me away back then. He looked like Paul McCartney but he played guitar better than anyone and I saw Hendrix as well. They're both geniuses.

  • @PRINCIPALBROKER Wow! thst must be some great memories! (if you can remember, I grew up in the 60's too, lol)

  • And this guy is a tier one guitarist in my book. So is Satriani, and a great many others, it just blows me away that anyone this good (let's not forget about the rest of the band) isn't huge. How did he stay hidden, I thought I knew who all of the great ones were. My check is in the mail for this DVD, I can't wait to get it.

  • @HoweKathandKeaggy it would be so hard for one of the top 2 or 3 guitarists in the universe to be so humble, but phil is a true gentleman.thus adding to his out of this world awesomeness.i just don't understand how you can play for so long and never hit the same note.it's like a new chord structure has been invented,i'm just totally blowed away.

  • unreal.. Watch and Learn from the Master, You are the best Phil...

  • Pretty good but Joe Satriani is still da best guitar player ever

  • @salivaty Could Satriani tries with one-finger less?...

  • @salivaty I prefer to enjoy both of them as artists. People seem to look up to artists like sports figures. There is no such thing as the best guitarist ever. Every player has strengths and weaknesses in their playing. These artists do not strive to be the best players they strive to express themselves. I am so glad Keaggy does not play like Satriani and vice-versa. Try thinking of it as music instead of a game.

  • @crazykeyman You make a very good point but I also kinda know where salivity is coming from. Part of it comes from your own favorites that you feel other people don't recognize due credit, and flip-side the artists you feel are overrated and given too much status. I do enjoy order, yet there is no true number one, so I have fun with my "tier" system.

  • @HoweKathandKeaggy Well it just comes from my flawed human philosophy and need to get on my soapbox. I probably could comment on more important things than this but no I need to correct everyone's opinion on who is the best guitarist, Good use of my time don't you think? ;)

  • Wow, I though Terry Kath and Paul Kossoff were hidden gems, WOW....

  • Some really good guitar playing there by Keaggy.

  • That's Jerry Gaskill from King's X!!! :)

  • Jimmy Hendrix never said Phil Keaggy was the best guitarist. This is merely myth. I've seen Phil in concert address this, he said Jimmy didn't even know who he was. That being said Phil Keaggy is one of the greatest guitarists ever.

  • Jimi Hendrix was just being coy when he said other guitarists were better than he was. I'm sure he was being playful because he was asked that question so many times about who was the greatest. Don't take what Jimi said too seriously.

What could he say? "I'm the greatest"? Only Muhammad Ali said such a thing.

  • it is stated that Glen Schwartz beat hendrix for RS guitarist of the year in 1970...as we all in NE Ohio know, WMMS stuffed the ballot boxes for all Rolling stone contests throughout the 70's by buying millions of copies and voting all cleveland..gotts admire their loyalty, but validity zero...

  • He's an amazing guitarist- Sounds like Jeff beck here a bit.

    c. Wired album.

  • huh... He's gonna be playin at my church tonight.

  • Can someone please tell me the name of this song?

  • never is a long time-glass harp

  • One of those great 70's acts that never got their PROPs

  • Phil, by the way is an amazing guitarist.

  • What a tasty intro!

  • I hate to bust your bubbles, but it is documented that when asked, Hendrixs said Billy Gibbons was the best rock guitarist.

  • Where's that documented? I've always heard Hendrix said it was Glenn Schwartz of Pacific Gas and Electric, another guitarist for Jesus from Northeast Ohio.Glenn performed for Jimi at his birthday party and beat Hendrix out as best guitarist in Rolling Stone in 1970.

  • @MrSambanine

Yea, the Hendrix thing is definetly false. It wasn't too hard for most of us P.K. fans to believe when we all first heard it though. Certainly if nothing else, Hendrix would've been a fan of Phils had he had heard him, same as Phil always was of him.

But I heard Hendrix actually had said that about Chicago's late great (can't think of his name) guitar player. But then who knows with this stuff.

Hey, PSE&G? Never heard of them. Were they a good guitar band?

  • Terry Caff and also said it about Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top.

  • Terry Kath

  • @CUPanacea

Hendrix said Billy Gibbons was his favorite,

Terry Kath was better than him and Phil Keaggy

was the best. I have to agree with him.

  • was hendrix talking about harvey mandel?

  • Whenever I hear Keaggy he always has the most incredible tone. Electric or acoustic, this vintage footage or more modern stuff. Brilliant.

  • Keaggy was so ahead of his time back then he is even better today

  • Comment removed

  • Why do people feel they have to continue telling this myth story? Keaggy is a wonderful guitarist and doesn't need the 'blessing' of Hendrix. Jimi died before Phil recorded at Electric Ladyland so it's highly unlikely Hendrix ever even heard of Keaggy. I believe this myth ACTUALLY started when Hendrix was on the Tonight Show (in July 1969). Guest host Flip Wilson was asking dumb questions. When asked who was the 'best guitarist' Jimi jokingly said, "probably some farm boy from Ohio."

  • @1tomwilson

I agree totally. Keaggy's talent, longevity and body of work speaks for itself. Plus, he's one of the most gracious, humble people you'll ever encounter. This persistent myth about Hendrix is false and adds nothing to Keaggy's legacy.

  • I love Hendrix and I love Keaggy, but Hendrix never said that Kyler. That's a long-standing legend.

  • Yeah, I remember him saying something like "when you think your the best someone comes around and knocks you down" or something like that.

  • I had the great fortune to see Glass Harp and Phil Keaggy play many, many times back during this period. They played a lot at a place called the Hullabaloo in Chesterland, Ohio. They also played at my High School in Mayfield Heights. One of the greatest guitar players I've ever heard live. The band was also tight, played a lot of great cover songs and played for hours! Fantastic.

  • Chesterland? just drive to the Mentor Hullabloo.` and see Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, The New Yardbirds (pre Zep), The Stooges . Cyrus Erie used to play Chesterland. Eric the Sock....Carmen ...enough!

  • One day back in the 1960's, Jimi Hendrix was interviewed by a newscaster and he asked Hendrix,

"What's it like to be the greatest guitarist in the world?"

Hendrix replied: "I don't know, you'l have to ask Phil Keaggy."

  • Your story is true.

  • Wrong!! I love the idea that he would say that. But, years ago I discovered this to be legend. Keaggy substantially rocks though!!

  • haha I've also heard "you have to ask Clapton" "You have to ask Rory Gallagher" "You have to ask Keith Richards" it's a myth my friend

  • goodygoody23,

The Clapton/Hendrix/etc thing re: Keaggy is almost certainly a myth (though who knows?), but the point of the matter is PK was and is so blooming good that any of the above could've said it and it would've rung true. Keaggy is that good--sickeningly, ridiculously good, and I've seen a lot of those famous guitarists live in concert; e.g., Eddie Van halen, 1984 tour, and I've seen Keaggy multiple times. None that I've ever seen can compare.

  • I know that, he is truly amazing. I was just making a point

  • Agree with thomashead - great band, but Phil is without question vocally superior. Superior in all other musical capacities as well.

  • what a balls singer/frontman. just stick the guitar player out front and tell the bassist to shut up

  • why don't people write good music anymore?

  • prob cuz our schools our too poor to teach it to kids

and young people are too into hip hop and electronica stuff lol

  • Wow thanks for posting this vintage clip. The boys were mighty young then. :)

  • Awesome footage!

It's great to see someone from Youngstown with such talent. And not mafia related to boot!LOL

  • Something about Mid-West rock bands in the 70's that got overlooked. There were some good bands. Euclid had an awesome album called Heavy Equipment.

  • Great footage......Phil Keaggy where did you find it....thank you!!!!

  • excelente estoy oyendo por primera vez la banda de PHIL KEAGGY en el you tube vere que mas opino ... saludos.

  • How did you hear about Glass Harp in Columbia? I grew up in NE Ohio USA. So Glass harp was a local band for me. I last saw them play in 1970.

  • God made the devil so how could that be?

  • what do you mean.........reply

  • Satan is a fallen angel. He was created by God to worship God. Satan wanted to become God and convinced one third of the angels of the same and they were cast from heaven to earth. Satan's original name is Lucifer, which means bringer of light (where we get the name Luke from).

  • You know they have drugs now to help with those hallucinations.

  • Page, Clapton AND Keaggy were inspired by and emulated HENDRIX . So SHUT UP.

  • phil keagy is one of the best guitarist in the world and loves the king Jesus!

  • Sounds alot like Funk 49 in the beginning.

  • Classic Keaggy!

  • Phil kicked Clapton's and Hendrix's ass.

  • Yes. But it's really too bad none of the were particularly good song writers. Glass Harp never made a splash because they didn't have the quality of material that bands like Cream, Led Zeppelin, and Hendrix had.

  • Agreed. But just listen to him now. Phil never stops writing songs. Please show me a guitar player that has been writing his own songs for the past 35 years. When he surrendered his heart to the lord, a birth of a passion of song writing was born. His stuff is awesome and always has been.

  • Your point about guitarists using original material is a good one. Yes, his musical compositions, then and since, are good, and his acoustic playing is nearly unmatched (can you call it "acoustic" when he does all that looping?)

But even now, as back then, he should find a good poet to write lyrics for him. About the only tune of his with compelling lyrics was the one his wife wrote for their son Ryan who died.

  • I agree Phil is not the lyrical king when it comes to songwriting - he doesn't have the poetic imagery of Dylan or Lennon. But his lyrics are in no way worse than Hendrix's LSD ramblings, Cream's drunken drivel about swans in the park, or Robert Plant's worn-out blues cliches or songs about hobbits. The one thing Glass Harp lacked that those other bands had was a few catchy songs to get them radio airplay. Lyrics were not the drawing card, it was musical talent - and Keaggy had that in spades.

  • Have you ever heard "Where Did My World Come From?" It's about as catchy as you can get.

  • Yeah, you're right, it is! I've always wondered why they didn't use this on any of their album releases -- it definitely had the potential to be a radio hit.

  • According to legend, Jimi Hendrix was asked in an interview "What does it feel like to be the best guitarist in the world?" And he said" I don't know, ask Phil Keaggy".

I heard it said about Eddie Van Halen too, so I doubt it's true at all, but it's a good story.

Let's face it, if a Seattle DJ didn't have the runs one night, "Stairway to Heaven" would have never made it to the airwaves. Makes me wonder (pun) how many more talented people didn't make it.

  • Wrong

  • went to high school with him. after all these years, he still amazes me

  • There are a few passages from Page's "Dazed and Confused" solos from '73 and onward that sounds like he could have been listening to Phil during that time.

  • Very cool video I have the liveat carnegie hall cd recommend it to everyone PHIL KEAGGY WAS THE BEST he's pretty good now also. Glass Harp was from Youngstown Ohio

  • Comment removed

  • Never heard of this group before. I like this number. What's the name of it? Thanks.

  • The song is "Never Is A Long Time" from their second album called "Synergy". The CD is available thru a company in Germany. But to really blow your mind, order the Live Glass Harp at Carnegie Hall CD from Amazon. I think this video is really from around 1970. And you're right, nobody played like this back then.

  • WOW!!!

  • Holy crap. NOBODY was playing guitar like that in 72. Nobody. Not Beck, Page, Clapton not even dudes like John Mcloughlin. The control, speed and cleanness he had was non-existent in 72. amazing.

  • Well said. His style makes me think of something Page or Hendrix might play, only cleaned and polished to lovely sheen.

  • Page and Hendrix wish.

  • The only person that played with this type of feeling during this era was Peter Green. Beck, Page, Clapton are not even in the same league as this guy. I think Phil could play with John McLaughlin or Al di Meola. I have seen them all and Phil is amazing!

  • does he break a guitar string at the end?

  • brings back easier days

  • Keaggy is fantastic! Hendrix thought so to.

  • Thank you for posting!

  • It Makes Me Glad to see Glass Harp vids on YT!

  • For the record, the song is called "Never is Long Time". I love this one! To me it invokes a lot of the James Gang. Which fits in that the group replaced the James Gang as the house band at JB's near Cleveland OH so many years ago. Don't despair over their lack of fame. I think I remember Phil saying once it may have been a blessing for them not to be famous, as fame has killed many very talented people. No question Phil is a fine musician but "the best ever" is subjective, just enjoy the music

  • Very well said, thank you for having some class. It is a laudable trait in here.

  • little did I know when I moved to nashville at the tender age of 14 that I would be living a few houses down from one of the greatest guitarists ever born. He's so cool. I've jammed with him so many times. He's really into seeing kids learning to play music.

  • how'd i never hear of this band???? what's the name of this song? and what year is this?

  • It's called "never a long time" Glass harp late 60's I have their vinyls.

  • If you listen to the album he uses the exact same solo! ruined the awesomeness for me

  • lol you probably just have the live version of this on album haah jk

  • Phil Keaggy is the best guitarist this world has ever known, hands down. If you feel the same way by virtue of what you just saw, you are in for a massive, massive surprise when you listen to his extensive post-Glass-Harp work. KEAGGY, FTW!

  • Amazing combination of Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix styling.

  • What?? No monsterous array of pedals and gadgets??? Just a perfect blend of a Les Paul, tiny Fender amp, and someone who knows how to use them.

  • This is about the time I would have last seen them live; I've missed every one of the concerts they've done in the past 8 or so years...but I keep hoping! - writeroffthelake at geneva-on-the-lake (ohio)

  • where could i find guitar tabs for this song? i looked absolutely everywhere on the internet!!

  • oh my JESUS he outplays people like jimi hendrix and jimmy page what a BEAST at the guitar!

  • yes but he's not as well known and not praised as much as the drug heads because he was into Jesus. the unforgivable sin in the music industry

  • interesting take.... or could it be that his churches "elders" didn't want him playing "devil music" and controlled his every move for years! What a shame!

  • this era was a little bit before keaggy was a christian. i wasn't around yet of course, i just read he became one in 72 or so. but ya. it would've been funny to see their reaction to this!

  • Wow, devil music? Do you know anything about Christianity?

  • sure do. what's your point?

  • Unbelievable! This will always be at the top of my memory for classic, GREAT 70's rock guitar playing. Boy, I sure am glad that pump handle didn't take one of his other fingers....

  • "Boy, I sure am glad that pump handle didn't take one of his other fingers..."

I never thought about that. How close did we come to losing all those hundreds of amazing solos? Just reaching with his left hand instead of his right...and there's a musical void, probably filled by...I don't know...Rez Band? Jerusalem? Petra? (until Giant came along)

  • saw Glass Harp reunion concert last night it was phenominal and i also got to meet Phil Keaggy, shake his hand, and had the pleasure to talk to him. he is not only a the best guitarist in the world but a cool guy too.

  • I remember these days in Youngstown, OH!!!

  • what song is this? i've been trying to find it on my vinyls.

  • AH BOI!!!!

  • it is Never Is a Long Time.second track off synergy.i have the entire album on my account

  • there is a lot of good guitar playing in this video....also,a lot of hair.

  • That is some badass guitar playing!

  • who wouldn't dig this shJt?.. i do.. can't believe I never heard phil keaggy before... my friend told to check this out.. im blown away... I dig it!

  • Dude this solo isn't improv!!! Listen to the studio take!!!!

  • Could you pull that song off? Solo and all?

  • great!!!

    old rock!!!

    5 stars

  • Underrated!They didn't open for Zep&Sabbath nor Beck?

    And was never asked?

  • Pete Townsend grooming styles lol!

  • I had heard that Glass Harp was recording their first album at Hendrix studio when Hendrix died.I can't hardly believe that they weren't acquainted.

  • there is an interview in the annals of Y103 cleveland with jimi hendrix. Jimi being asked "how does it feel to be the greatest guitarist in the world" replied "youll have to ask this guy from youngstown Ohio, phil keaggy"

  • research this under urban legends

  • oh i kno its a legend, but its a fun story... every good band has their mythology :)

  • "The guitar of Phil keaggy 35 years ago."??

    Only "The guitar???

More like the insanely mad awesome guitar of Phil Keaggy...

  • The hard blues rock of around 1970 is one of the greatest things the earth has seen

    his guitar needs more frets

  • There's a Keaggy song that reminds me of Cliffs of Dover ( or vice versa lol) Does anyone know the name of it? I'd greatly appreciate it.
