Hydrolock is an old wives tale. Unless you sink your intake in a puddle, sit in it, and rev your engine, you won't hydrolock. The filter is blocked from direct presipitation by your bumper and the minimal amount of water/snow that hits it, will not be sucked in and reach your engine. I have an 06 TL that's been through 2 winters and many many rain storms with a CAI and have had zero problems. If hydrolocking was such a big problem, companies would be getting sued and they wouldn't make them.

Cool, have you dyno it yet? I have a AEM SRI with custom 2.5" midpipe with a Skunk 2 exhaust, next I'm planning on getting headers and a ECU reflash.

AEM Short-Ram? You should've went with a Cold-air, bro. That's what I got on my 07 LX.

If you live far up north like me, short ram is the way to go unless you want snow and water in your engine which causes your engine to hydrolock.

I've been researching for months, exhaust system after exhaust system... and I've concluded that Evo 2 is by far the best there is. Its not annoying, its nice an deep and its clean! I have an 06 RSX-S and am gonna buy this exhaust system soon. One question, how does it sound during normal 3,000 RPM shifting?

I should have recorded my exhaust for yall it sounded sweet on my 93 civic before I messed it up. Neuspeed exhaust tip 4" with glass pack and 2.5" piping header-back with a short ram it sounded fuckin sweeeet. Rumbles like a mofo in idle but when you're ramming through the gears that bitch SCREAMS. Or used to :(.

HOOONNNDAAAA Why would you want to make your car sound like a piece of shit rice burner. Leave it stock a expensive fart tube exhaust will give you at the best 5 hp not worth it. But if you like rice and pissing people off then make it loud and sound like shit.

I just bought a 07 si and I like the sound of the exhaust stock... How far off from stock is this in terms of sound? I want to add a couple HP but I HATE the sound of ricey hondas... I want to keep it as low key as possible. Suggestions?

evo2/skunk2 exhausts are def not ricey. trust me on that one =] and you acutally have to listen to evo2/skunk2 in real life not on youtube..

The Greddy Evo 2 exhaust isn't that far from stock at low rpm's. But at high rmp's it gets much deeper and louder. It is definatly worth getting for the horsepower gain. It doesn't sound ricey at all.

really? im north so it rains here alot. so im still nervous about switching to a CAI. and i tried a bypass valve earlier. and it wont fit apparently. idk. im getting my reflash in about a week tho. cant wait
