  • his voice has changed

  • pure electric rock

  • Budgie are unsung heroes of Heavy Rock

  • Amazing! {}

  • I swear to God. Stop bitching. This tune rocks and I do not care if it is the original or Metallica or the re record. Listen to the fucking tune douchebags. I don't care if Elmers Butthole band covered the tune. If they rocked it then the fob was done.

  • I'll take the orginal any day....this is too mechanical, but still decent

  • This is awesome.

  • I'll admit these sound ok but they have nothing on the originals. Why they re recorded these songs is beyond me.

  • horrible!!!! The o g is the best hands down!!!! I rocked this at World gym in Tracy ca and A fuckload of people asked me abt it So take that!!!!

  • This sounds a lot cleaner than the originals, which to me sounded somewhat muddy, which could explain why they weren't more well-known.

  • Budgie - Orginal Hard Rock

  • Love it !!!!!!

  • mr rivethead.................. dont be daft mate these are the ORIGINAL .. and that is why metallica covered there tunes... ok the moneys gonna come in handy... BUT as early seventies rock goes these guys f**king rule......... welsh rock rules

  • Can really hear Jump in the Fire in this.

  • This version sucks compared to the original. The vocals are a whole range lower which is typical of bands as they grow old. Productions is obviously better, but i would rather listen to the original. If you want newer production, just listen to the metallica version...... It rocks too. Advice to Budgie, write new material, or ride the original stuff.

  • Great version.

  • Personally I love this, their original recording and Metallica's version. I give all credit to the original of course. I always thought it was an amazing song from both bands.

  • Diggin' the solos and snares. Hetfield's voice has a LOT more kickass in it though.

  • I like the sound quality better on this version, but the original has WAY more feeling in it, and this version has a bit too much of the Pantera'esque "guitar squealing"...

  • @BuayaGuy I agree with you...all around.

  • Van Halen covered some Budgie....just found out

  • Just remember: If Bugie had not existed, then there probably would be no Metallica. Budgie is the the Grandfather of metal. Remember, Budgie predates Black Sabbath by more than a year! True, the members of Sabbath were together before (in Polka Tulk and Earth), however, their heavy sound did not come until later. Budgie's unique way of interlacing heavy and clean tones is what set the stage for Metallica's sound; albeit a little different.

  • Great song but the Metallica versoin destroys it.

  • Metallica helped these guys out because everyone curious finds this and then Budgie makes $ off of the download and cd residual's.

  • @MrRivethead if only more people would look at it that way

  • @MrRivethead Yes! I agree and same goes for "Breadfan".

  • @MrRivethead NO just no budgie helped metaliica!!!!

  • @MrRivethead helped them out???????? NO FAVOURS HERE DUDE . . ..Metallica used their material cos it's awesome and that is it!!!! We ALL bought the vinyl years ago !!!!!!

    oops . . . your diapers seem to be overflowing dude . . . . . . . . .HUSSAH FOR FOETUS ROCK. .

  • Fucking wicked bass intro turns you into a maniac!

  • I love this! An awesome tune redone better by the best!... a bit short, though.
