it makes me physically sick to think how underrated this album is compared to the other death albums, if anything this is the most consistent and solid (out of the pre-prog death albums), Leprosy is also fucking awesome, not quite as amazing as Spiritual Healing tho, this and obituary's Cause of Death and Atheist's Piece of Time are my fave albums from the late 80's/1990 florida scene - all the bands went in different directions after 1990

this was definitely the best line up as a group effort with James Murphy!!! I did see Steve DiGiorgio on the Human tour in Tampa and he was mind blowing, but I like the Spiritual Healing line up the best!!!

I don't know about the line-up overall. Ithink ITP is better. But the guitar duo of Murphy and Chuck was certainly the best. I think they were both at the top of their game. Murphy has done outstanding stuff since. But nothing better than what was recorded on this album. Extremely underated

obituary have like one outstanding album thanks to Murphy its my 2nd fave florida DM album next to spiritual healing (all the other obituary albums after that were either average or sucked really fuckin badly) but yeh this is Chucks best guitar partener imo, Masvidal was good 2 but Murphy was classier.

yes, Obituary went downhill after "Cause of Death", but have you given "Frozen In Time" from 2005 a listen? this is a mind blowing DM CD!!! I caught this tour in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and was blown away!!! It was the best DM show I have ever seen, even better than when I saw Obituary's "The End Complete" tour in Jacksonville or Death's "Human" tour in Tampa!!! Obituary is now harder and tighter than ever, a must see for any true fan!!!

yeh i loved ITP the bass work is so haunting and immense, DiGiorgio is a musical genius, Andy LaRoque is also quality, King Diamond's "Them" is one of the best examples of Neo-Classical Metal ever.
