@dscomp maybe the Situation has finally caught up lets face it Bitcoin currently 4.68476 with a Hight of 5$ thats like a farcry from what it was and what was predicted and its getting lower by the week even every month i check and its just keeps getting lower and lower. I for one am out of the Experiement there is just no Demand for Bitcoin cause no one accepts them on a large business Scale atleast here in Germany so all you can do is trade like probaly 95% of all users its not going to work.
The reason for dropping the price on MtGox before withdrawing the bitcoins was that MtGox by default limited withdrawals to $1000 in value a day. At $20, that's 50 BTC, but at 0.01, it's 100,000 BTC. Which would you rather have. Not the limits are $1000 and 100 BTC.
Let us all know when the next buy signal comes along John! Sold most of mine at $15 last week and hoping it goes lower before another breakout so I can buy back in. Deepbit was down for about 12 hours due to the DDOS attack, it was funny to see them have no piece of mining pie on Bitcoinwatch's website. Some people didn't return to Deepbit so I'm guessing the other miners are just as profitable if you can wait for the slower payouts. The Youtube spammers are quite annoying, I will flag!
I was wondering where the tiny.ul goes on the youtube spammers. It probably will attempt to steal your wallet or something synister. There are many variables in bitcoin. i was wondering if we could get a list of channels and send them to youtube for deletion.
Aren't the green/red arrows indicating if it's a higher price per BTC than previous line? If the price goes up, then there's a green arrow. If the price goes down, a red one.
Yeah I've been trying to flag all these vids but there is so many!!! I hope youtube doesn't let this go on...all those accounts should get deleted! I'm sure they are voilating the terms of use agreement in one way or another. I'm flagging them as spam...
Also, currently BTCGuild has 6,267 workers at 1555.27 GH/s. It used to have 9000+ - and this is most likely because BTCGuild is not protected against BOTNETS (if you know what that is). I would recommend a pool like Slush's instead
The reason as to why he had to drop the Mt. Gox price is because Mt. Gox has a $1000 limit, so you can only take out $1000 or $1000 WORTH OF BITCOINS, so by dropping it to 0.01 he could take out a whole lot more than if the price was $20
BitcoinChannel: I appreciate all your various channels and videos. Excellent stuff!
You can filter out all the Bitcoin spam by adding -"Get Bitcoin" as well as -"Get Bitcoins" to your search. Be sure to include the quotes and minus just as I have typed it. That should eliminate the bulk of the irrelevant posts.
I also realized TONS of these spam videos, because I search for videos the same way. Now do you think it makes sense to flag these videos or should I just don't click on it?
The MTGox hack makes tons of sense. Run it down to a penny and take out $1000 worth because he knows it will rebound almost immediately and it did. It went up to 13 before they (mtgox) pulled their famous mulligan card.
The hack makes sense. If you crash the price to a penny you can withdraw 10k bitcoins instead of like 60 at $15. Ya, the hacker could have come up with something better, but this is real life not a movie plot where creative people can spend however long they want coming up with something amazing. We have no idea what actual or perceived pressures or constraints the hacker was operating under or the cleverness of the hacker in the first place.
I saw Bitcoin hit $11 and bounce last week. I had my buy target at $10. Now that the Mtgox hysteria is about over, I think we will see a slow steady rise. Ecommerce could use the stability. Tv shows poping up in the "Bitcoin" yt search. This looks like a distractor tactic that probably works on addicted tvwatchers. Why would someone upload popular tvshows and label them with Bitcoin is the question to ask yourself.
Oh I'm right. They are stealing any bitcoin video's titles and then adding "get Bitcoins" at the end. It may be just one person or a group of related people spamming YT in this way. If anyone is interested in "getting bitcoin" they are confident they'll click their video and click the link in the description and create an account on bitcoin7 using their reference number. If you click the link in the description and take note of the URL you will see what I mean.
The purpose of the spamming is not to cause anything to break or anything that you said LoL. If you notice each of those videos has a link in the description to "Get Bitcoins". Clicking on that link brings you to bitcoin7.com with the YT owner's ref.number and they get 20% commission on your purchases (bitcoin7's promotional campaign). They are just professional internet marketing link ninjas trying to make easy money. Any site offering referral rewards has corresponding spammers on YT.
@markpasky08 Hey! Contact the original creators and send them here: yt/copyright_complaint_form with a link to the rogue video. This is a civil issue also.
I just wanted to also point out that personal skills, education and tallents are also assets depending on if they can give valu to others. People should most importantly acquire that too.
Happy Saturday

Woah, the Bitcoin youtube spam is going nuts right now. They're copying entire videos and adding urls in the info area. Very lame.

Good to know that you're alive.
The YT spam has four possible aims:
1) for profit through referrals through the provided url's
2) the link could be a hack as well, though I'm sure how this might work
3) These vids are made to associate Bitcoins with mass spamming, causing negative views.
4) And/or this is just another method used to prevent people from getting legitimate and updated info on what's going on in the Bitcoin world.
Either way, it's very very lame to steal titles from real videos.
christpunchers 7 months ago
@christpunchers 2) I meant, I'm not sure how the link could be embedded with a hack or malware but it could be possible.
