yes but those pistons weigh just a couple of grams PLUS they have no valvetrain whatsoever (crankshaft inducted 2 stroke) so in an RC engine 18000rpm isnt really impressive.., a car engine with a piston 10 times as heavy going 9000rpm is MUCH more impressive then that

@piejazz96 .. Yea i know ..... BUT most of the time 4 Stroke engines DONT run that fast ... Did u ever see a STOCK car run 12000 RPM ... NO!
Only performance oriented engines Run that speeds...

Haha, 6000 times per minute. Our race engine runs at over 9000 rpm sometimes as high as 10200.
