@thegamgi Who mentioned gay sex? I still do a bit of MMA training (TKD, Judo and boxing) but found the grappling boring. UFC cheerleaders say boxing is boring cos of the clinching but the ref splits the fighters after 5 seconds. The ground game is very boring to watch (Couture v Toney). Then they say fighters who stick and move (ie. Mayweather) are cowards cos they don't stand and fight but nobody mentions Couture going straight to the ground with Toney cos he was scared to stand and trade.

I don't have that much respect for the ground game (I mean the elongated grappling in UFC) as I think the fight should be finished standing up if possible and then perhaps have 30 seconds or so to finish the fight or the ref gets the fighters back to their feet. Just a thought.

Gracie never really got boring as he was so effective but it is too easy to go into survival mode on the ground as it makes things boring (much like a boxer holding). Either way I enjoy both sports.
