oh for gods sakes!!! just STFU, all of you!! we dont want to scroll down and see a 100 page long argumentt! its god damn food! every contry is influenced by other cultures!!! seriously, just grow up (T ^ T)
Am I the one of the few who notices this intertetsu's moronic claim? The person below me just said it himself. "There is no Japanese who thinks YAKINIKU to be a traditional culture of Japan." I don't know if this intertetsu is Japanese or not, but whoever gave that idiot 7 thumbs up (6 now since I gave it thumbs down) should go see a doctor.
when i went to japan last summer, i ate that. it was SUPER DELICIOUS!! good thing the store was near my house so i could just walk there anytime, man... i wish i live in japan D:
Yakiniku is invented by the Korean immigrants after the Second World War. Sometimes Yakiniku is eaten with other Korean-influenced dishes such as kimchi, nameul and bibimbap. The history of Korean BBQ such as Bulgogi and Kalbi gose back to the Goguryeo era (37 BC–668 AD). It was prepared especially for the king during the Joseon Dynasty.
I always go to another Yakiniku, those wich have ice cream, cakes, cotton candy, and pancake! And all the brazilians like me eat the limit as possible! That´s so bad and good! ^^
yakiniku may originate from korea or korea may have their own version: bulgogi and stuff but i say they're quite different. im very familiar with both and the whole idea of cooking meat using the burner may be the same with how japanese and koreans do it but they have different ways to serve it with (like the sauces)
grr i REALLY miss authentic, "real" japanese food. i mean there are japanese restaurants here in america but its not the same. its only like sushi here and stuff (and its not even the good kind) =[
My favorite place like this is in northern japan in Aomori. It is all you can eat food bar with raw meat on it and there is a sepperate dessert bar. Sooo good
In japan the yakiniku rest is all ala cart and they don't give much meat but in hawaii you can get so much meat from brisket, chicken, tongue, steak etc... along with lots of side dishes and seaweed soup for a good price. Hawaii yakiniku rest still the best <3
I'm Japanese, but I love the Korean "Bulgo-gi," more. The meat is marinated in a sweet, spicy sauce beforehand, and also done on a grill at your table, but very similar to Yakiniku!
YAKINIKU!!!
i love japanese yakiniku.

There is no Japanese who thinks YAKINIKU to be a traditional culture of Japan. YAKINIKU of Japan is delicious. The South Korean is too desperate.

so in my opinion they're still different.
