  • Interesting video...thanks for posting this!

  • @zulucowboy anytime man!!

  • awsome vid

can you use the striker on the other side of ur ka bar

as in not the sharp side or does it not work that way

  • @roamy7 you most deffinately could strike it off the spine of the knife, but i would have to do it at a 45 degree angle and in an emergency its way easier to do it off the blade and showers more sparks. but yes you are correct

  • A tough challenge and you did a great job and solving the various challenges involved. The only thing I would change with your technique is too strike your ferro rod on the back of the knife. In this scenario you have already damaged one hand. You do not want to cut your only other good hand.

  • @seanmulhall thank you Mr.Mulhall, i tried it on the back of the ka-bar, but the back of the knife just wont throw a spark, that is why i had to use the blade. I agree 100% that you dont want to take the risk, but sometimes the risk is worth the reward. Thank you for your comment!!

  • Great video I never really thought about that kind of situation really, very brilliant!!! What would be bushcraft attire???

  • @WesternBushcraft thats why we made the video, and i think that is why Ken made the challenge to open up people's eyes!! and my bushcraft attire would be brown or green shirt, coyote or OD pants, and my combat boots!!
