@diagonox Your welcome! l see you have more strats in the backround.. l have a nice strat collection going and i just love seeing people with a ton of strats too.. and nice scuttle buttin playing by the way.. Keep Rockin!
Oh yeah...And the point is: This guitar is great!!! I want to share this fact with others. I try so many expensive guitars, but this have a potential, and it is not expensive. When you change some of the things this guitar start to be really unbelievable instrument. Tone and neck are perfect, wood, finish, everything!!! But if you play little bit harder, bending, use tremolo, then you need better hardware, in this case saddles and tuners. Thank you, cheers!!!
@diagonox Cool! But you didn't answer part 2 of the gent's question. One that I am concerned with too.
That being the locking tuners. I looked on the KTS website and couldn't find them. Are you indeed speaking of KTS LOCKING TUNERS or FENDER/SCHALLER LOCKING TUNERS?
If you were speaking of KTS locking tuners....where can we find them? And do they retro-fit nicely like the Fender/Schallers?
If I have correct info. Schaller don't work with Fender anymore, so this are the similar but not exactly the same tuners, made by Mr.Gearhead. (Possible made in China, but quality is OK.) KTS factory is from Japan, and they make only saddles, great saddles. Sometimes you can change everything but it is still not a guarantee that guitar will stay in tune. When you buy guitar for 1000$ you can find many differences between guitars, if you pay 2000$ or more, differences are not that big :)
@diagonox Ok. So they ARE basically FENDER locking tuners. I have/use them on all of my guitars.
You can, however, find a really good guitar for $1000 or less.....you just have to scrutinize and put several guitars through the paces before you buy.
I have numerous Fender Highway One's that, after changing pickups, are AWESOME guitars. For a total of perhaps $1100, ...I have MY OWN version of a custom shop instrument.....AND saved a bundle of cash!
Yes, this tuners fit perfect, you need 5min. to change them!
Go to Fender store and you will find same tuners. If you need KTS saddles just use google, you can order directly from KTS Japan or USA and pay with paypal or credit card. Cheers!!!!!
Exactly. KTS are great sounding saddles, better then the Fender original. For example, Graph Tech are also great but they compress and destroy sound. KTS are great because of many things. First you will notice that situation and feeling on fingerboard is a much different, much better, all this is important for people who bend strings often and use tremolo a lot...other things are strings breaking, no more string breaking, same like with Graph Tech but with much better sound.
@diagonox damn man you play all the songs i LOVE for example,: scuttle butting and before that the song of jimi hendrix and after that castles made of sand man wow damn man! please get famouss!!!!!!!
Actually, yes. And I don't like that part with hum...But they are nice sounding pickups and I think that I'll not change them because of that. P.S. They don't have a more hum then any other Fender single coil pickups.
Thank you very much!!! But hey, this is unbelievable: (Yamaha G 10 guitar synth, City Blues by Dr. Ika.) BTW, You will find some of the videos me with the band on Gerontius channel, some of them are also here on my channel. Unfortunately, I don't have some appropriate material for public, best gigs was never recorded...Cheers!!!
Before a minute I listen your playing, great bro, really great !!!
Thanks for your comment, I am glad that you like it. P.S. You can hear me only if you come to Croatia ;) But who know's maybe I come to States again...
BTW, If you ask me I think that this is one of the best Marshall amps ever made, I really love it. I would like to have combo version also, but it is very rare amp. I have this amp more then 15 years, it is a 6L6. Right now I search for the appropriate speaker 1x12 for this head, it is not easy to take 4x12 on gig...
Love it - great playing and tone. I'm a Marshall 6101 owner (that's the combo unit). Are you on a mic or running out the XLR for this one? I think mic but just thought I'd ask :)
I think you just convinced me to get this. Couldn't decide between this and a standard. Really Great playing!
