  • Anyone know the name of the 'What Dreams May Come' track? Thanks!

  • Great job showcasing the talents of one of movies greatest composers!

  • Michael Kamen best contribution, was by far Pink Floyd The Wall!!!!!

  • Michael kamen= God among men.

  • The Dead Zone

  • Whoever compiled this beauty, thank you!

  • Band of brothers <3

  • @straycoolcat. The score to the LOTR trilogy was composed by Howard Shore.

  • And what about Lethal Weapon?! ...

  • 3:12

this is not most beatiful song in x men movie...

you should listen "Logan and Rouge theme" from Michael Kamen..the best x men theme..

  • it was the story of bucket head in his bedside that brought me her to this video :P!

  • That Robin Hood song is heard on the new modern Disney DVDs' intros.

  • I want to find the soundtrack of Jack...

  • M.K Respect...

  • Michael Kamen also wrote music for Metallica S&M

  • Michael Kamen did "The Iron Giant"?

Even more of a reason to love that film. :)

  • 3 people have no feelings ;)

  • band of brothers is a tribute of ww2

  • @pegemiees876

actually it is a tribute to honor the 101st airborne div.

  • @AlfaGertje Who figthed in ww2 -.- :D

  • And Korea, and Vietnam and Desert Storm and just about every other conflict America has been involved in since man first decided to launch his ass from a perfectly good airplane to get to the battle below.

  • @Pumablues2525 for sure

  • @pegemiees876 to an actual company/unit i hope i said that right... Ezy/Airbourne

  • oops, not Russia House.... Company Business!

  • My boss worked closely with Kamen on the score for "Russia House," and couldn't have spoken more highly of him. RIP...a great loss.

  • you picked the wrong band of brothers song

  • truly grandiose scores

  • Uno de mis favoritos, luego de Williams y Morricone, el rockero Michael Kamen.

  • This man had mastered triumph... He is dead, certainly, but not defeated!

  • Where are the Lethal Weapons? It's a shame!

  • Nice Layout, but I wish you had included the Dead Zone 1983.

  • except die hard kind of stuff.

  • Ohh!!! Prince of thieves! *Have heard that intro so many times I know it after the first two tunes* =) I love that movie, know every single line by heart.

  • Nothing I have encountered in all of film music is more heroic and noble than Kamen's main title for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.

  • Band of Brothers by far his best.

  • the iron giant!!

  • THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE

    RIP Michael

  • Typical hollywood music i really cant make differences between famous hollywood composers. I think its trend to make more and more similar music as other famous composers like John Williams or Alan Silvestri, Marco Beltrami,John Debney or Jerry Goldsmith only few original music composers in american films are Danny Elfman, Clint Mansell have some originality and Philip Glass of course (Jan A.P. Kaczmareck,Ennio Morricone, Michaele Nyman are one of the best but those three are Europians).

  • @TheVodKanockers Elfman is so overrated. God I wish people would stop kissing his ass like he walks on water.

  • @TheVodKanockers ...you sound like a very miserable, boring individual, or a Hipster (disgusted shiver) and I will have no more to do with you. Good day.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheVodKanockers Semantics my dim witted friend. I believe I said good day.

  • the begining seems like pirates of the caribbean!! lol

  • band of brothers ftw

  • Been looking for the soundtrack to 'Crusoe' (starring Aidan Quinn) by Michael Kamen for awhile.

  • Was wondering if the segment from Brazil is an original material written for this film or is it adapted?

  • The Three Musketeers part is so breathtaking it gives me goosebumps.

  • Also, Kamen did the music for the 1989 film "Crusoe" starring Aidan Quinn.

  • and wt is the track name of band of brothers??

  • rip

  • I loved his Highlander tracks. Amazing stuff.

  • I worked with Machael Kamen at Trudy Hellers in the village when he was with the ny rock and roll ensamble, we played a half hour on and half hour off from 8pm to 4am longest gig of my life for 200 a week. you could tell he d be a star, he passed way to early but got recognition.

  • The Adventures of Baron Munchausen - greatest fantasy adventure film of all time.

  • @straycoolcat yes it was a nice movie but i would really advise u 2 see a movie called the lord of the rings it's actually a trilogy and it made a big buzz when it came out......then decide what is the greatest fantasy adventure film of all time!

  • @straycoolcat I wish Michael Kamen was still alive today and composing more music. He died in 2003.

  • @straycoolcat

I would have to say Debbie does Dallas is better.

  • @straycoolcat Lord of the Rings? ... I suppose everyones entitled to their own Opinions, but you cant really argue with 11 academy awards.

  • my film professor hates this guy, but i don't see why...i think hes quite good.

  • What bothered me about Michael Kamen when he complimented John Willams, he stated, "we owe a lot to him'. Jerry Goldsmith scored his first feature film two years before Williams' first ("Daddy O")., so I doubt you consider Goldsmith owes anything at all to Williams, since it's his own style.

  • there was no one who could touch a movie soundtrack like Michael Kamen. The only one who came close was Hans Zimmer

  • True dat, Hans Zimmer is much a man

  • @Bladestar7 i have to disagree on that one. all though they are very good conductors and creators of music the music they make is very repetative and you hear the same thing all over... and it's kinda boring... Just listen to something by Hans Zimmer, Pirates, The Rock, Gladiator just to mention some... i am not saying that it is bad, not at all, it is VERY good. BUT it is VERY repetitive. And so i say John Williams is a lot better, his music varies a lot more than htese two.

  • Defintiely agree with you with John Williams. He is excellent. But evcery composer has a distinct style tot heir music if u listen to it. Michale Kamen, Alan silvesti, even John Williams. I like them all but as a movie buff I love Michael Kamen. Especially when he collaborated with Eric Clapton and Sting

  • yes, just what I said . but this distinct style gets a little bit boring when you recognize it. i still listen to them, but sometimes I get annoyed about the fact that it just is the same :P

But we have to mention Ennio Morricone :D

  • where is main theme from BAND OF BROTHERS...oh shit

  • Such an Underatted Composser.

  • @jayce79 I agree. I'm 16 and I think he's one of the best.

  • strange, but kamen's music seems a lot more quality when he was linked with gilliam

  • he played with metallica... THAT is his greatest work

  • i am a metalhead of 11 years, and i am insulted by this ridiculous comment, metallica ransk waaaay down his list, some of the music this man has written is way beyond anything like metallica,.... what a fool.

  • rank*

  • well good for you. im glad you have a diferent opinin than me. but dont call me a fool just because of a difference in taste. makes you seem ignorant

  • hey can u look up "the pacific trailer HBO" and tell me what the music in that trailer is from? cos sum1 said is was by micheal kamen but i can't find which song

  • It would probably be more accurate to say that it was Metallica's greatest work when they put out S&M, but not the other way around I'm sure.

  • totally agree, Metallica is good and all, but that's NOT his greatest work

  • Baron Munchausen <3

  • @dogglefox98 My lords, ladies and gentlemen...Baron Munchausen, at your service.

  • Band of Brothers ist einfach nur geil!!!

  • Robin hood is a masterpiece that will never be topped. Well done sir!

  • Highlander

  • It's from Morricone!

  • Very funny.

  • Band of Brothers is in a class by itself.

  • I agree perfect :D

  • thank you !

  • What Dreams May come was the best! that whole movie was completely heartbreaking and the music added an entire new depth!

  • Well done , Mr. Kamen. RIP and you will always be missed.

  • Kamen's finest work in my opinion is the score he composed for "Highlander". Very underrated.

  • excellent work mr. Kamen

  • amazing job... but where is lethal weapon mate?

  • I prefer the Robin hood theme!

  • BAND OF BROTHERS!!!! =)

    unbelievable soundtrack!!

  • 0:57 - 1:51

    THE MOST THRILLING!!!!!

  • What an idiot! Completely failed the comment. How in the hell could you forget to double check it?

  • Robin Hood is so emotional and powerful. By far my favorite movie theme/song!

  • era uno de los mejores , asta rockeaba muuy bien con metallica en S&M

    :'( :( lastima k esta muerto

  • the thing i like about this guy...is the theme he compose in band of brothers

  • Michael Kamen was the best composer out there.

  • die hard is by far his best

  • no way!!! band of brothers is easily his best, go listen to the main theme of it and you wouldn't disagree!

  • Kamen one of the best compositors especially Robin Hood and Hihglander i like

  • Die hard trilogy is so creative and captures that cool and thrill that the movies have. The Iron Giant is also great

  • prince of thieves and highlander r amazing themes

  • theme of band of brothers it's fantastic

  • Thank you SO much for this! The Three Musketeers is one of my very favorites, right under Robin Hood and Don Juan DeMarco! Thanks so much for including it!

  • My hero!!

    Thanks for this video!

  • Highlander rules!

  • Michael was a dear friend - RIP -- Your wonderful music goes on forever -

  • what about his theme for "Last Action Hero?"

  • where's lethal weapon??

  • Pretty sure that What Dreams May Come has the most beautiful score.

  • Band of Brother is his best IMO

  • that's for sure

  • no doubt about his best score: Robin Hood, prince of thieves

  • Die Hard has such a tense score.

  • R.I.P. Kamen

  • Thanks for posting this!! He was a genius!! May he rest in peace!! We won´t forget you, Michael!!

  • What, no "Dead Zone"? Still not that bad though and your just for the final example was perfect.

  • The opening theme of "The Dead Zone" perfectly sets up the haunting mood of the movie.

  • xmen great soundtrack especially the score logan and rogue

  • Iron Giant all the way

  • Michael Kamen did great scores, for great movies. He died in 2003, he was 55. Imagine what that man could give us more...

  • Whats your favorite score of his?

I think its The Iron Giant.

  • I also like the "Band of Brothers"-Score

  • "X-Men" or "Lethal Weapon I", For me.
