  • most people dont get into mary kay to get to her level anyway, most of us have full time jobs we love and get into it to make some extra money and have fun. Kudos to her for making it big, you make it what you want.

  • Women who join Mary Kay know exactly what they are getting into when they sign their agreement. There is no requirement to buy inventory. Do you know of a direct selling business where you don't have to recruit to "move up" so to speak? I used to sell Partylite, you have to recruit. Avon, recruit. Premier jewelry, recruit. Pampered chef, recruit. Gloria trains her people to get where she is - she has at least 3 NSD offspring and those women have tons of top selling units.

  • @neh310 actually, the recruiting interview is carefully structured to only give the fluffy feel-good information, never the real meat of the issue. Of course, that's to increase the chances of the potential recruit saying "yes," so NO, women who join MK are often joining based on emotion and fluff, NOT because they were given both sides of the issue and told to review them carefully before deciding to join or not join.

  • You are an inspiration and someone who has worked very hard to get where you are...and what I love the most about Mary Kay is the fact that we ALL make the same amount right from the start of buying our KIT -and if we ALL work hard we can also be a National Sales Director -it is a shame that you have so many people that post rude comments but unfortunately that is their lack of knowledge in the business and just plain jealousy of your success. :)

  • She is an amazing women! Truly a beautiful person inside and out. She has helped so many women reach their dreams!!

  • I have met her and she has worked very hard to get where she is. if you would work has hard on your mary kay business as you do typing rude and cruel things about her and a company that gives so much to cancer research, domestic violence shelters, and now habitat for humanity you could and would be where she is.

  • I think it's a big red flag that you cannot get to where this woman is sitting by selling makeup. You only get promoted in Mary Kay if you recruit people. And you only make it to NSD by recruiting and getting everyone else to recruit, too; what does that say about the company's priorities?

The fact that there are only 600-700 NSDs worldwide in the company's 48 years of history tells me that the odds of reaching that position are far from favorable.

  • @TScribbler Are you or have you been a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant? If she could make it to the level she is at in this business WHY would she NOT share the opportunity with other woman? Everyone pays the same amount for their starter kit but like ANY business you only get what to put in to it! She put 19 years into hers and look where she is at. It is possible. Don't be a Debbie Downer or a hater at this woman's success.

  • @jrkoehmstedt, the answer is no. And the reason why is because I've learned what it takes to make it to that position (NSD) based on NSD training documents. It's all about dragging in recruits and getting them to order big inventories. Sure, one can claim Banks found success, but what did she do to get there? Again, when recruiting is the only way one can move up, the tactics to get those bodies in sink to low levels. I refuse to praise any success that came via mass manipulation.

  • @TScribbler G.M.B. is a phenomenal woman & she deserves it all. As an Independent Contractor for MK since 2002, I've learned the ins and outs of this business. Randomly bringing someone into the company doesn't award you with anything. As a leader, you take on a lot of responsibility so the company pays our leaders extreamly well.A great leader will take a new consultant and she'll blossom into a confident & successful business owner. That's when you move up the career path; when you bless others

  • @TriniBeautydotcom, so how far up the career path have you come since 2002?

  • @Sportica Further than you can ever imagine. MK may not be the career of choice for you but I hope you are out there living your dreams. All the best.

  • @TriniBeautydotcom, thank you. It is always a noble thing to live out one's dreams without having to repeatedly manipulate and deceive others into a pretend business where the turnover is high and the profits are low. :)

  • @jrkoehmstedt, please. Gloria fails to mention that her husband Ken owns quite the successful construction company and has done so for a number of years, yet I've yet to hear her give him credit for getting her where she sits today. Chances are good that Gloria would not have made it to the top of the triangle if she didn't have her husband's big fat financial safety net beneath her. Also, success gained through manipulation (as Gloria's is) is never to be praised, only pitied.

  • Congrats to her. This is great and I'm sure she works very hard.

  • Success comes from hardwork, skill and discipline amongst other things, and there is always a challenge regardless of the business you engage with. Gloria, well done! You are truly an inspiration, it won't have been easy achieving what you have achieved. Hats off to you!!

  • Actually, no she's not the only one making money in MK. Please don't post what you don't know. We get Applause magazines in the mail and there are MANY women making 5-6 figures. My national sales director's highest check was $65k in a month.

  • Mary Kay is what you make it as any business, job or career path you choose. Mrs. Banks is an inspiration to not just women but to battered women and to African American women across the globe. Jesusiseverthing2me, don't sweat those who are negative. That is why they are complaining, because either they paid their money and didn't work their business or they don't have the skill to do it. Move on! I do very well with mine.

  • Total bottom feeder, selling the pink kool-aid to all her poor sistas! Can't wait till this FAKE is exposed. Her McMansion in Atlanta is empty!!! Debt up to her eyeballs!

  • @jkupsh - sorry, she's not a fake. I just got my consultant insider magazine, called "Applause" and her commissions last month were over $60,000. If she is in debt then that's just due to poor money management on her part, but nothing to do with her income. And BTW, how on earth do YOU know if she is or is not in debt?

  • @jesusiseverything2me

LOL! Keep drinking the Pink Koolaid....it makes everything "make sense". And don't forget to DREAM BIG and put on your BIG GIRL PANTIES, lmao!

  • @jkupsh you are a jealous bitch

  • She is the only one making money in Mary Kay Cosmetics!

  • Gloria, I found 15 homeless women in 15 days in the projects that need your help to look like divas!

  • @LoveAllKindsOfMusic1 - homelessness has nothing to do with Ms. Banks, just like is has nothing to do with YOU or with me! I've been homeless, and ... guest what? It was completely MY FAULT! Now I've become a responsible person and am doing quite well, AND am a MK consultant too!

  • @ LoveAllKindsOfMusic1 NO she dont that is why she is where she is!

  • She needs pink truth.

  • I love this video! LoveLove Love,
