@KillerBee256 Actually it is a pretty typical thing with Ghosts, if you are looking for them or looking for something to happen it won't 9 times out of ten or it will be so subtle that you will not notice it. it is usually in most stories I have ever heard and also from my personal experience that when you least expect it things happen unexplainable things. it is interesting to think about and wonder why..
Robert Stack could say rubber bands have souls and I might believe it. He gives so much credibility to these stories where his replacement makes them sound like total BS.
This Mary Bregavy didn't even have blonde hair like the girl described. Also Mary Bregavy died in the city. I think under the L tracks along Lake Street. There is another theory the the Mary described was a 13 year old Lithuanian girl that died along Harlem Ave not far from where Toyota Park now stands.
@elmwoodparkhood i don't think its Anna Norkus either she wasn't even in her teens yet sure she would probably fit the description if she was 5 or 4 years older but no she was only 12 about to be 13 at the time of her death, there is a theory that a girl who lived close by Mary Bregovy named Mary Miskowski is Rez Mary, she was 19 and fits the description perfectly but her death didn't catch the headlines like the other two candidates did even though she also died in a crash by Rez Cemetery

She was so real and had such a beautiful smile. I didn't know that she was a ghost until she had vanished. She gave me a red rose and the rose was still there after she had vanished. I left it on my Mom's grave. Wish I could see her again. It's has been 11 years and still no sight of her.

Middle of the night, lonely girl by the side of the road needs a ride, she's helped in the vehicle and feels very cold, she gives her address, next she disappears, later when it's investigated, it turns out she's been dead for years. Has anyone seen Rod Serling's "Encounter with the Unknown"? 3 great spooky stories and one has a similar story called "The Girl On The Bridge". Let me know what u think.
I too grew up on Chicago's southwest side and heard the stories of Resurrection Mary. I've driven down Archer Road late night many times and never ever saw anything. But too many people have seen her so there has got to be some truth to this! It is a great story!
The actress who played her was cute....this is a good story that Unsolved Mysteries did. If you want the rest. Buy the DVD box set of Scary Ghosts...good stuff.
i have never seen anything at resurrection, i have family members there, and over the years never saw a single apparition, however, my niece was there visiting her dad's grave and she had set down some flowers on the side of the grave and went back to the car about 8 feet away to get the vase she forgot, when she went back the flowers where neatly placed on the headstone, no one else was in the area that she was in, she was there by herself.
You see a woman walking alone slowly on the side of a dark road, during the night, at one of the biggest cemetery in the US wearing a fancy long classic white dress with a soft eerie glow with apparently NO FACE.
And that guy was willing to turn his car around or even attempt to give her a lift despite his car being full...
And I thought White People were only depicted as STUPID in horror movies.

Heard this story many, many, times. From South America to Canada. It's always the same. Middle of the night, lonely girl by the side of the road needs a ride, she's helped in the vehicle and feels very cold, she gives her address, next she disappears, later when it's investigated, it turns out she's been dead for years. Has anyone seen Rod Serling's "Encounter with the Unknown"? 3 great spooky stories and one has a similar story called "The Girl On The Bridge". Let me know what u think.

I too grew up on Chicago's southwest side and heard the stories of Resurrection Mary. I've driven down Archer Road late night many times and never ever saw anything. But too many people have seen her so there has got to be some truth to this! It is a great story!

i have never seen anything at resurrection, i have family members there, and over the years never saw a single apparition, however, my niece was there visiting her dad's grave and she had set down some flowers on the side of the grave and went back to the car about 8 feet away to get the vase she forgot, when she went back the flowers where neatly placed on the headstone, no one else was in the area that she was in, she was there by herself.

You see a woman walking alone slowly on the side of a dark road, during the night, at one of the biggest cemetery in the US wearing a fancy long classic white dress with a soft eerie glow with apparently NO FACE.
And that guy was willing to turn his car around or even attempt to give her a lift despite his car being full...
And I thought White People were only depicted as STUPID in horror movies.

Why did the guy assume that Mary needed a ride home? She was there, so most would assume she drove herself or came with somebody else. He would have at least ask that first instead of going, "Can I give you a ride home?"
