The Spike Corridor isn't that much of a nuissance - oh...but then you get to the rooms where the first the Floor and second the right Wall descend into your direction killing you MANY times.
I remember having this game when I was 6 and I wasn't able to get past the first level. However I did remember the music to the first level(probably because it was all I heard over and over again), and that was actually what caused me to look for this playthrough. I thought the music for the first level was awesome even as a little kid and I wanted to hear it again. MAN IS IT AWESOME!
They're probably moles, they come out of holes too. I remember when we were little, we used to call them bats. I've no idea why, it doesn't make any sense haha.
Boss #2 doesn't look much like frogs to me, they look like mutated Jar Jar Binks which I imagine only adds to their unholy existence and would probably startle Christopher for a brief moment before he just whips the hell out of them.
That level is as far as I've ever managed to get in The CV Adventure. Definitely one of Konami's worst games as far as gameplay and fun are concerned.
That said, back in 1989, the music and especially the graphics of Adventure were outstanding. Most game developers didn't bother with making good-looking GB graphics until a few years later, once they'd gotten the hang of working with the system's limited capabilities.
Poor old Christopher with his pretty wooden legs. =0p
man i love the old gameboy hit sound, in castlevania it would always sounds like it says BALL SACKS when he hits monster with his whip

Level 1 track is one of the best in gaming history.

Normally I hate this game. But if you use a cheat code that improves your speed it's... somewhat bearable, haha.

*jaw drops at the screw things that cause the floor and ceiling to compress to spike belmont*
That, makes just about no sense whatsoever, and neither does the ascending spikes... *brain flies into the blender of insanity*

Stage 1 is great! I think Stage 3 gave me at least one nightmare when I was younger ^^

Stage 1: The best mountains in a Game Boy game.
That's all - I have a thing for mountains.

Probably the only Castlevia game, that I've never played... Will you do N64 Castlevania's too?
ViceCommando 3 years ago

That is one of my favourites, especially when you get to play as the revolver-wielding knight. As far as anachronisms go, that is a cool one.
