I seriously doubt his birth place and where he met shams matter much to J Rumi judging by his poetry Shams was very important to him since HE WROTE SHAMS INTO HIS POETRY surprised that someone into inciting division actually youtubes Rumi

its not about inciting division my friend,its just that at a time when my country gets the most negative press in the eyes of world(rightfully so),they take Rumi which we've been celebrating for ages and praise him without mensioning the origin of his thoughts,the context of his poetry. its almost like pilagirism. Everyone is happy to praise him as a world figure,but they forget to credit the culture that gave birth to him. and that is a bit unrealistic. thats all.
