@Beyondlife7: This "melanite," as you so engagingly put it, is actually (according to the intro) a descendant of Hatchepsut, the first woman pharaoh. That being said, she is descended from Egyptian (not sub-Saharan) royalty. In other words, she was a Hellenist, not a Nubian.

I remember watching this,when it was on T.V. But It seems like maybe it wasn't on television that long. Maybe just one season. But I can't remember....its been a few years. LOL
Fathers of young children loved this series, not because of the morality lessons, but because the actress was so pretty in that short white skirt.
