  • How big of a hater of music do you have to be to dislike this?

  • @scottyswanrocks12

Some people cut their own cocks off -

    life's strange :)

Maybe they made a mistake and hit dislike? doesn't bother me :)

  • rest in peace Clare Fischer

  • I always thought this piece sounded sad in a way especially at the end when christopher is shot.

  • @ROCKNROLLFAN

    I think so too.

I cried when I watched the film! It was just a film but I liked the character haha

    :D

    I love the music.

  • Clare was one of the all time greats! Rip

  • Damn Christopher, damn!

  • RIP Clare Fischer

  • @Maurilha666

House brick way of letting me know, but thanks.

The man was beautiful, totally beautiful.

    ;(

  • This music could've been in a French new wave film of the 60's. So sad that this picture wasn't directed by a class-A director with a script to die for. Prince oughta have given it to the max, and I'll bet he would've been movie-star of the year in 1986. Unfortunately (and keep in mind that I love the man) his ego has sometimes blocked his insight into his own projects.

  • People saying this is the same as "An Honest Man" on the Crystal Ball album are talking out of their fuckin arses - it doesn't sound anything like it.

Even if the titles are the same - the music is different.

  • Shhhh.....

  • Shhhhh.......

  • Prince is the coolest, brilliant, genius on the planet

  • @OpenEyesProdTv

Well he's certainly one of them for sure :D Whoever invented chocolate eclairs in another hehehe

  • how come this wasnt on parade ?

  • @annastesia67

I don't know, I suppose it's called incidental music - I'd like it to become available though because I love Prince's piano playing.

There was a section on his Lovesexy tour where he played a piano medley and that was really good.

  • @craigfromnewcastle this is the Piano rendition of "an honest man"

  • @HypeRhymz Nothing like the one on The Crystal Ball...............

    Curious

  • @craigfromnewcastle The song is actually called, "AN HONEST MAN", and a short version appeared on the CRYSTAL BALL Album.

  • @chj2

And why did they not sound anything like each other? I know the songs

  • That says alot for sure my friend., I just keep revisiting some of his earlier work and I am amazed at how sophisticated it was for the time . Also I am stunned at how many people are unaware of the genius of this man. I watched the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance when he is performing 'While my guitar gently weeps' and the comments that people post are shocking . Which rock have they been under! To not know this guy is a genius is baffling .

  • @cadillacstr8mk

Well - he's special for sure.

I think the difference between people knowing him now and in the past, is that he was trying to be successful in the charts and the usual routes for musical/financial success - and his record company were pimping him like there was no tomorrow.

But he was brave and intelligent enough to get rid of them, and now doesn't need the charts - people who know his genius are the ones who look :) and they get such a beautiful surprise when they find it :)

  • @craigfromnewcastle For sure my friend .Like fine wine it gets better with time ! Take care friend.

  • @cadillacstr8mk i used 2 get so much flack when i was 12 for listening to Princey in 1986. I adored Venus de Milo and was so amazed by the compositions and strings arrangements by Claire Fisher as well. I guess I was a kid with great taste and an appreciation for REAL talent...they dont music at all these days just trash like The Black Eyed Peas

  • Absoutly beautiful!

  • @spiceiceroxy

    Thank you for your comment.

Yes I think Prince and Clare Fischer are a fantastic combination.

  • I think Prince said it all in the closing credits:

"Special thanks 2 Clare Fischer 4 making brighter the colors black & white."

  • @dvdspd21 indeed.

  • Hey there is this guy named "pianoguy" with his own page that thinks Alicia Keys is the sh#@ . But he needs to look at this page and get an understanding of what real music is all about ! My man Prince has been doing this since the 70's and thats what it's about . Not being promoted by Clive Davis and being heralded as the greatest when you just got your feet wet ! That goes for Beyonce and Rihanna as well.

  • @cadillacstr8mk AMEN..TO WHICH 2 OUT OF THE 3 U MENTIONED REDID A FEW OF HIS SONGS..OH BOY HOW I WISHED I HAD A TATSE OF THAT KINDA TALENT..STILL I JUST KEEP ON WRITING AND LOOKING FOR APUBLISHER..

  • @cadillacstr8mk Beyonce,Rhianna and alot of these young saps are just a dime a dozen! Its 2011 and im 38 now and im still listening to Princey (and this soundtrack) and I realize one thing! Damn, I was a 13yr old whom had really great taste in music. I discovered jazz,Joni Mitchell and The Beatles because of Prince! That says alot in my book

  • A very underrated film! The critics were very unkind to Prince on this movie, now it's a cult classic.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan

I always really liked it - even when it was first out - well a few years after cos I got in to prince a bit later on - I thought it was fun, funny, sad with great music :D

  • @craigfromnewcastle Agreed!

  • Gr8 work, isn't it cool how this movie still Nspires, let alone "P" & the musik =).

  • @TheSugarl

    I think it's lovely work.

    Quality lasts for ever.

  • very cool, Prince is the shit

  • @hepcat2kool

    sure is.

his life's work is incredible - it's amazing to me that so many people don't yet know how good he really is.

  • Beautiful. Its because of growing up listening to Prince and this movie particularly that i come to love classical music.

  • BECAUSE OF MUSIC LIKE THIS......THATS WHY I LOVED THE FILM UNDER THE CHERRY MOON

  • Love what you did here. Classy.

    Looks and sounds really fabulous.

  • @devonmuse

    Pleased you enjoyed it.

    Thanks for your message.

  • This reminds me of New Orleans jazz.Duke Ellington or even Art Tatum

  • @THELIKWIDLIGHTEXP

    All great artists.

  • This song is my favorite part of the movie<3Thanks so much for uploading this:)

  • @velo8k

You're welcome - I love the music too.

    :)

  • cool

  • So beautifully combined and very nice with the scene Christopher ( Prince) dancing with Mary x

  • @princelovesme94
