Dude, Football is WAYYYY more violent than Rugby. There is probably an average of 2-3 injuries every game. We played Rugby here in the U.S, remember? If it was so good we'de still be playing it.

The grass on an American football field is thicker due to the weight of the players and the type of game (how it can be called "football" when you handle it more than you use your feet i dont know) Soccer is played 90% using ones feet plus players average 11 stone therefor shorter, thinner grass is used so the ball can travel easier when running with or passing the ball.
