@TheBigL95 ...... thanks for watching our video......and although you have no clue as to the how and why of this hunt..... you still had a completely invalid opinion to offer.....in the future I will promise to contact you before i kill a buck for your managenent strategies, if you will avoid our videos altogether.
fordman i can relate to what your saying to an extent, but i hunt in polk and haralson county, look i up these counties are not know for producing big bucks and no i dont have access to a large enough parcel of land to grow big bucks, but i manage to kil a 3.5-4.5yr old buck should have two this year but missed one.btw it doesnt bother me that this guy shot a small buck, just saying id rather shoot does that a 6pt.and idk where you hunt but if your very north ga the rut should be on right now.
ford man maybe if you wanna gat a shot at a good buck in the day time you should quit shooting at all the small ones.i do live in north ga and kill good bucks.dont listen to what people say bout deer giong nocturnal from pressure yea they do,but their not impossible to kill you know ga does have a rut deer will breed.this is when you catch a goodun in daylight hours.
@mcw308 im just sayin thats a nice kill for any man and its meat in the freezer which you may not get if you wait around on the big bucks cuz take it from me their aint many out their, and just cuz theirs a rut dont mean your gunna see big boys, when they get big so does their brain and they get smart and know exactly what to look for, and i have a lot of young bucks running around that aint gettin the proper nutrition because of the population count so their horns wont turn out right
why would you waste your buck tag on a six point? If I SHOOT at any BUCK it has to be a 8 or BIGGER. The only time ive shot smaller was my first deer with a bow.
plus in georgia you have a tag for a 4 pts on 1 side 1 inch or longer, and you have a buck of any size you can kill, to me that is a nice any size tag fill right their
you say the pressure is of now i get to work on some doe's,why not do that to begin with instead of killing yearling bucks. let the small buck walk, a video of a mature doe kill is more impressive to watch and makes you appear as a more knowledgable hunter that cares about heard mgmt. rather than someone who takes pride shooting small bucks who haven't had the opportunity to grow up.i live in ga. also we have a poor buck to doe ratio, lots of doe's need to be taken for a more healthy heard.
obviously u dont live in north ga. we have big bucks but they travel at night cuz idiots take crappy shots at them in the day and spook them to nights... get off the guys back that is a nice buck in my book. iw oulda have taken the shot any day. and u can honestly tell me if you were doe huntin and a small 6 point walked out on you, you wouldnt shoot?!? if not your crazy, congrats on the kill dude and luck for many more to come
@mcw308 hey, sorry to be so long getting to a reply. Truly, i didn't realize i should contact the deer hunting patrol prior to a harvest. I will do better. makin memories with folks you hunt with is a much bigger deal than a large buck or your "proper herd management"..... when your hunt is time limited and goes by fast, those chances to take game is limited. hunting with someone else is what makes this deer important.
Nice one ChuckWagonS!...hunting with that "smoke pole" is always the best, "one shot at greatness" way to to set it down. Same here for me "doe time", only way to keep the herd strong and food a plenty, taking the does ...good eats too.
Great video man. Looks like your management skills worked well for your family and your ability to feed them with some tasty venison. Good job man!

oops forgot to say just because the state allows the harvest of a buck of any size doesn't mean you have to shoot a small one!
