This was the first song on the album that I had to replay immediately after it finished. I really love it. It reminds me of "Almost Crimes" by Broken Social Scene, a little bit, though it definitely has its own flavor. It's great how so many of us get so many different things out of it.

duh, i thought this was the intended reference. Like i truly doubt they did not say "hey let's make a MBV sounding song" when they wrote this. The difference though is you can actually STILL make out the lyrics in this song, as opposed to like 95% of MBV songs:-p. Also there's more insutrmentation in this than the usual MBV song. I'd say the guitar is MBV and the singing over it too.

Echoey lead guitar above the wall of high-distortion power chords chugging at breakneck speed... Only difference from Sleep Chant is the additional violins. Nice song, this...
