It's usually worse when particular political issues get stirred up. Yhey use the homeless Haight folks as scapegoats. They are such cowards. Politicians pick targets they think are easy and set the police on them. But, Haight homeless people just continue to be there, anyway.

The kids on the street and all the homeless are prohibited from sitting down on the sidewalk before 9:00 PM, its also a crimnal act to sleep in a park, or on a bench, no matter what hour it is.. I used to live in one off eastlake, last summer SPD or seattle parks, went through and filled each dwelling with about 2 inches thick of white chalk... That way you cant utilize the space.. Does that make sense ? Its sprayed all over the cement beams and the diffferent cement"stalls" that each of us used as beds.

But, last I heard, NYC had 40,000 homeless people on the streets, many families, victims of foreclosed homes. 40,000 is a marked bump up in the NYC newly unhoused. I also hear NY shelters are dangerous. It's true that homeless people should think twice about coming here. The only improvement over New York and the East is that, in SF you don't freeze in the snow. SF aspires to be Manhattan. The one percent rules both cities.

I was homeless for a while (not by choice tho) and the cops ALWAYS herassed me. It had to of been 4 or 5 times a day and all I was doing was sitting on a step in the park. Not homeless anymore tho thank god.

I have many times visited the local shelter, had a free meal, learned a lot from all these people over the last 12 years in San Francisco. I have learned a lot from all my homeless friends. Why should you assume from one video clip that the videographer has not done this?
